Barcelona star Gavi and girlfriend go viral as they pack on the PDA at the club's LaLiga title party
Barcelona star Gavi and his girlfriend Ana Pelayo turned on the charm at the club's LaLiga title party on Sunday night.
The duo were seen cuddling and walking around on the pitch together while they also intertwined their fingers.
Barca lifted the LaLiga trophy despite a 3-2 loss to Villarreal, having wrapped up the title on Thursday against Espanyol.
Spain international Gavi, 20, has been an instrumental part of helping Hansi Flick's men to a domestic treble, beating Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup finals.
He met Ana, a 22-year-old student from Seville, through his sister Aurora.
She has seemingly stuck with him through a challenging time. Gavi returned in September from a devastating knee injury and surgery which left him sidelined for 10 months and caused him to miss Spain's Euro 2024 win last summer.
Rumours about the pair's romance first sprang up last summer when she shared a photo of her hanging around with Gavi's mother and sister.
Gavi and Pelayo are becoming an increasingly high-profile couple in Spain and beyond - he has 17.9 million Instagram followers, while she has 270,000.
Pelayo also joined her beau on the turf last month after La Blaugrana beat Real Madrid 3-2 in the Copa del Rey final.
There were jubilant scenes at full time on Sunday as Barca lifted the title at their temporary home, the Olympic Staidum.
Captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen made his way out on to the pitch, picking up the huge trophy and carrying it over to his team-mates and lifting it aloft.
'I think Villarreal played a good game... but what matters is that we are champions,' Barca's Fermin Lopez, who scored their second goal to make it 2-1 at the end of the first half, told DAZN before he joined his teammates in the trophy-lifting celebrations.
'I'm happy to have scored a goal, although it didn't help us to grab another win that we really wanted. However, the important thing is that we've won the league and that's it, we deserve it and let's keep the celebration going.'
The stars were then joined on the pitch by their family and friends and they paraded their silverware in front of their adoring supporters.

Former Newcastle and Leicester forward Ayoze Perez opened the scoring for the Villarreal on Sunday, finding the net from a counter-attack in the fourth minute.
Yet Barca's Lamine Yamal levelled in the 38th minute with another fine individual effort, cutting in from the right before curling in a strike.
Lopez then gave them the lead with a shot from the edge of the box in first-half stoppage time.
However, Santi Comesana equalised five minutes after the break and Canadian Tajon Buchanan fired the winner from a Gerard Moreno cross in the 80th minute, a result that secured Villarreal a spot in the Champions League next season.

Alexander-Arnold gets new financial incentive after finally joining Real Madrid
Real Madrid have reached a deal with Liverpool to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold before his contract expires, with the Spanish giants hoping to win the Club World Cup Trent Alexander-Arnold will reportedly earn a major bonus if he helps Real Madrid win the Club World Cup after they paid Liverpool an eight-figure fee to sign the defender before the tournament gets underway next month. Alexander-Arnold was set to join Madrid on a free transfer when his Liverpool deal expired on June 30, but it was announced on Friday that they have agreed to pay the Reds a total of £10million to sign him a month early. Madrid are paying an £8.4m fee and his remaining wages in order to have Alexander-Arnold available for the entirety of the Club World Cup. And according to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Madrid view the Club World Cup as the 'most important' competition of the season. It is claimed Madrid are desperate to win the first edition of the newly revamped tournament, having been the inaugural winners of the European Cup in 1956 and the Intercontinental Cup in 1960. As a result, the report claims that Madrid are set to pay each player a bonus of around €1m (£843,000) if they lift the trophy on July 13. The tournament will also mark the start of the Xabi Alonso era after he replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the dugout. Alonso, who spent five seasons at the club as a player, has signed a three-year deal to replace Ancelotti after an impressive stint in charge of Bayer Leverkusen that saw him guide them to their first Bundesliga title. And Alonso is hoping his time in charge will get off to a perfect start by winning the Club World Cup. "That's the way circumstance had it. Once that happens I see it as an opportunity for two reasons," Alonso said at his official unveiling earlier this month. "One, because it means that we can accelerate processes, get to know each other sooner, see things that we want to be. Then it's a chance to fight for another trophy. It's the first Club World Cup and the ambition is complete. "If we can bring together those two things then it can be a very good start, and as of today that is what I have in mind. We can do nice things, that ignite people. That's what we have come for." Alonso also paid tribute to his predecessor Ancelotti, having been managed by the Italian during spells at both Madrid and Bayern Munich. "The cycle has come to an end under Ancelotti, who was my coach," he added. "He left a mark on me and has been a huge influence. I wouldn't be here without all I learned from him. I'm honoured to take over from him and proud to be in a place where he achieved so much. I hope I can live up to the expectations. "We're starting out on a new era and I feel like we have a fantastic team. That's what fills me with the energy to come here, to try and get the best out of every single player as we build a great team. We can achieve big things worthy of Real Madrid and all they have won in the past."

'I cried myself to sleep after UCL final - what Lionel Messi did stuck with me'
Regarded by many as the greatest goalkeeper to never win the Champions League, Gianluigi Buffon was an emotional wreck when falling short of his ultimate goal back in 2015 Gianluigi Buffon admitted his Champions League failure against Lionel Messi left him crying himself to sleep - but paid tribute to the Argentine for his actions after the game. The Italian legend achieved almost everything in football, but one glaring absence on his hefty trophy mantle is the appearance of a Champions League trophy. The former goalkeeper was 37 when he reached his second European final with Juventus in 2015, when they faced Barcelona in Berlin. Many believed it was Buffon's last chance of capturing the honour. Both teams required the trophy to complete the continental Treble, given they had both secured their respective domestic league and cup titles. It was the Spanish side who drew first blood with Ivan Rakitic opening the scoring in the fourth minute. Alvaro Morata equalised in the second half, but it turned out to be in vain as goals from Luis Suarez and Neymar secured the return of the trophy to Catalonia after a four-year absence. A second defeat on the grand stage for Buffon was a hard pill to swallow for the 2006 World Cup winner. He admitted during the presentation of his book titled 'Fall, Rise Again, Fall, Rise Again' that he and his wife were left crying until they went to bed. "It was 5:30am, and my wife Ilaria and I cried while hugging each other," the 47-year-old said to Mundo Deportivo."After Berlin, I went home. You're stunned by the defeat, like after a night of heavy drinking. "I stayed in the living room, she changed clothes, and we didn't say a word. We hugged and cried for five minutes and then went to bed. "Sharing the same feelings and emotions means a lot. It's always better to win because it boosts your confidence and self-esteem. But only defeats push you to think, understand what went wrong, and thus improve." Despite the heartbreaking defeat, Buffon was left touched after the match when Messi asked for his shirt, and in return gave his own shirt, which the Italian described as "the best in history." "I was filled with pride in the Berlin final at 37 years old," he added. "When he asked for my shirt, I thought: 'My God, how beautiful it is'. One of those moments where I didn't feel uncomfortable but saw myself through different eyes." Referring to his third Champions League final defeat in 2017, when Juventus came up against Real Madrid in Cardiff, Buffon said: "We exchanged shirts. At the end of the match, however, we had other problems, not knowing that a few years later we would have another chance in a final." The 4-1 defeat to the Spanish giants was Buffon's last appearance in the final of the Champions League and Juventus' most recent appearance in the fixture.

Arne Slot's Florian Wirtz intervention as Saudi clubs prepare Liverpool swoop
Liverpool might have lost Trent Alexander-Arnold but they are still hopeful of having a huge transfer window to help retain their title as they bid to close deals for Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz Liverpool have a big transfer window ahead of them as they look to retain their Premier League title next season. Arne Slot managed to win the title in his first season in charge but the Dutchman is now preparing for some major changes to his side. He's already lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, who have paid a fee of £10million to take him early in time for the Club World Cup, and Jeremie Frimpong is set to arrive as his replacement. Slot will also be eager to secure some more strength in depth at centre-back and in attack as Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah approach the twilight of their careers. There are some targets who are high up on Slot's shortlist - such as Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz - while the likes of Darwin Nunez has been linked with the exit door. With that in mind, Mirror Football has taken a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news as we approach the start of the summer window. How Slot convinced Wirtz Liverpool are edging closer to signing Wirtz after lodging an improved bid closer to Bayer Leverkusen's £126million valuation of the talented star. Signing Wirtz would be a major coup given the amount of top teams who are interested in the 22-year-old - regarded as one of the most promising midfield stars in world football. Wirtz has just registered 16 goals and 13 assists in all competitions and he is now expected to move to an elite side that can challenge for silverware every season. Previously, Leverkusen's rivals Bayern Munich looked like favourites to sign Wirtz, but now Liverpool appear to have jumped to the front of the queue thanks to a conversation with boss Slot. According to the Mail, Wirtz was "captivated" by Slot during talks in England earlier this month and cited his "passion" for Liverpool and the power of the supporters. In the same chat, it's claimed Slot shared his vision for the club and how Wirtz fitted into that plan, vowing to make him a key part of his side should he join. Al Nassr monitoring Diaz Liverpool have already lost Alexander-Arnold and now another star is in danger of departing after reports that Al Nassr are eyeing up a move for Luis Diaz. The Colombian is set to enter the last two years of his contract at Anfield with no new talks over a deal expected as of yet. Al Nassr are preparing for the expected exit of Cristiano Ronaldo amid speculation the Portuguese superstar is set to leave. The Manchester United legend put out a statement teasing an exit as he claimed "this chapter is over" following the club's final match of the season. Saudi chiefs were eager to lure Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to their league this summer, but after the Egyptian signed a new deal they are now turning their attentions to his team-mate Diaz, according to the Times. Al Hilal are also interested in the forward, the report claims - though the club themselves are said to be looking at Ronaldo too, meaning his future could depend on where Diaz ends up. Alexander-Arnold's transfer package revealed Now that Alexander-Arnold's move to Madrid has been confirmed, we can discuss the fine print of his deal. We now know that Liverpool won't be left empty handed from his switch to the Bernabeu, despite being expected to leave on a free transfer. Madrid have actually paid Liverpool a small fee for his services after opting to sign him before the end of his contract on June 30. Liverpool will collect a total of £10million for their boyhood talent - who joined them 20 years ago as a six-year-old. The Reds will rake in £8.4m plus his remaining wages. He is set to sign a six-year deal worth more than £220,000-a-week.
