Decision Inc. Australia Helps Accelerate GenAI MVP Delivery For OFS, Enabling Real-Time Manufacturing Intelligence
OFS (Operations Feedback Systems) is an Australian-headquartered software company that is helping manufactures in over 30 counties to produce more with less. Since 2006, its analytics platform has helped operators, supervisors, and senior leaders in manufacturing gain clear, real-time visibility into performance, enabling faster decisions and stronger outcomes on the production floor.
With a customer base including Dulux, Asahi Beverages, Bega, nudie, AstraZeneca, Twinings, and Electrolux, OFS wanted to stay ahead of rising expectations around artificial intelligence by embedding generative AI directly into its product suite.
To accelerate development and go to market faster, OFS engaged Decision Inc. Australia to help guide and define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for its new GenAI feature, now known as Mayvn AI.
The Challenge
As manufacturers increasingly look to their software partners for AI capabilities, OFS recognised the need to rapidly build a GenAI experience that delivered practical, real-world value. While OFS already had an in-house engineering team, it turned to Decision Inc. for support in validating the concept, developing a secure architecture, and accelerating its roadmap to MVP.
'Manufacturers are under enormous pressure to do more with less, and they're asking smart questions about how AI can help,' said James Magee, CEO of OFS. 'Our goal was to build something meaningful, not gimmicky. We didn't want AI just for the sake of AI, we wanted it to solve real problems.'
OFS needed a solution that would securely integrate with its existing architecture, scale into production, and provide early confidence that the AI feature could meet the performance and privacy standards its customers expect. At the same time, the OFS team wanted to build internal knowledge and capability as part of the process.
The Solution
With Decision Inc. Australia's support, OFS accelerated the development of Mayvn AI, a GenAI-powered operational intelligence tool designed to deliver actionable insights directly to factory leaders, engineers, and operators. The goal was to bridge the gap between factory data and leadership decision-making, turning real-time production feedback into meaningful conversations and faster resolutions.
Decision Inc.'s AI Advisory services helped OFS quickly define a scalable MVP architecture that would sit securely within their existing software ecosystem. From architecture design to proof-of-concept prototyping, Decision Inc. played a hands-on role in helping OFS validate the feasibility of GenAI integration while upskilling their internal engineering team to take the solution to production.
Mayvn AI functions as an intelligent co-pilot for manufacturing leadership, surfacing real-time insights from complex production data using simple prompts. By leveraging large language models (LLMs), Mayvn AI can instantly summarise plant performance, flag inefficiencies, identify recurring issues, and even recommend areas for capital investment based on real-world downtime or waste patterns. It is designed to operate securely, respecting data privacy boundaries across client environments.
From generating daily shift reports to uncovering root causes of line stoppages and packaging faults, Mayvn AI is enabling factory teams to spend less time pulling data and more time acting on it. A notable early use case allows a CEO or site leader to ask, 'What should I know before walking into this site today?' and receive a concise, personalised briefing within seconds.

The Outcome
Mayvn AI was launched in February 2025 and is already being used by more than 200 manufacturers worldwide. The feature acts as an embedded GenAI assistant within the OFS platform, enabling business leaders to simply ask questions, like 'What's been impacting our line efficiency this week?' or 'Where should we invest at this site?' and receive real-time, production-specific answers.
By transforming unstructured manufacturing data into actionable insights, Mayvn AI bridges the gap between leadership and the factory floor. It's helping users surface previously hidden trends, reduce prep time for shift reports, and justify capital investments with data-backed recommendations.

Asia Pacific enterprises shift to genAI spend amid AI cloud push
Forrester's latest research examines the status of artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across Asia Pacific and its implications for cloud strategy and enterprise innovation. The two recent Forrester reports, The State of AI, 2024 and Embrace the AI-Native Cloud Now, provide an in-depth look at how organisations in Asia Pacific and worldwide are approaching generative AI (genAI) investments, use cases, and cloud-native transformations. Regional investment trends Forrester's The State of AI, 2024 report shows more than half of enterprise AI decision-makers globally have allocated between USD $200,000 and USD $400,000 to genAI so far. These figures signal significant but selective engagement with AI, as adoption patterns differ according to regional objectives and regulatory environments. Within Asia Pacific, one of the more distinct trends is a change in budget allocation. Enterprises in the region are more likely to transition funding from predictive AI initiatives to genAI. According to Forrester, this shift indicates "a pragmatic, value-driven approach" to investments in artificial intelligence. Leaders across Asia Pacific continue to place a premium on employee productivity and customer experience (CX), two goals that mirror global priorities. However, Asian Pacific organisations stand out by leading slightly on data literacy efforts, with 50% of respondents indicating a focus on upskilling employees for more informed, data-driven decision making. Adoption and key use cases GenAI applications are gaining traction in both operational and development domains. While IT operations is a top AI use case globally, 43% of Asia Pacific respondents said their firms are deploying genAI to support software development. This reflects the region's intent to bolster engineering productivity and accelerate the pace of digital transformation. Despite ongoing investment, barriers continue to influence adoption rates. Data privacy is the primary risk cited by firms in the region. At the same time, Asia Pacific organisations report a more acute lack of specialised technical skills compared to their counterparts elsewhere. This underlines the need for expanded workforce enablement and training to meet enterprise AI ambitions. Expectations for returns on investment (ROI) also demonstrate variability. Half of organisations surveyed anticipate realising returns within one to three years. Meanwhile, 38% are targeting a three-to-five year time frame. These figures suggest a diversity of approaches based on the scale and complexity of AI projects currently underway. Generative AI continues to spur conversation and investment across industries, albeit at varying levels depending on regional priorities and challenges. Companies that strategically align their AI efforts with measurable outcomes around customer experience and employee productivity are already reaping returns. However, addressing barriers such as data privacy, governance, and skill shortages is critical to ensuring that AI investments deliver sustainable value. That assessment comes from Frederic Giron, Vice President and Senior Research Director at Forrester. Cloud strategies for the AI era The Embrace the AI-Native Cloud Now report explores the evolving nature of public cloud platforms under the influence of widespread AI adoption. The report asserts that as genAI capabilities advance, Asia Pacific enterprises and governments must pursue AI-native cloud strategies to remain competitive and operate efficiently at scale. AI-native clouds are described as moving beyond conventional infrastructure services to offer intelligent, automated operations and application capabilities. Key features highlighted in the research include predictive operations, autoscaling, and automated handling of security updates and system patches. There is also a rapid expansion of AI-enabled development tools, such as TuringBots and low-code platforms that help streamline application design and deployment. These tools aim to raise developer productivity by automating much of the coding and debugging process while freeing teams to focus on strategic initiatives. Furthermore, embedded AI APIs are increasingly underpinning both software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and bespoke applications, providing elements such as predictive analytics, personalisation, and intuitive agentic AI-driven user experiences. The report notes that to fully benefit from the AI-native cloud, organisations should integrate technologies such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and adopt composable architectures. The AI-native cloud is not just the next iteration of cloud technology; it is the paradigm shift enterprises need for their cloud strategies to remain competitive in an AI-driven world. Leaders must prioritise AI-native cloud strategies to improve operational efficiency, advance development capabilities, accelerate business innovation, and differentiate their customer experiences. Those comments were made by Charlie Dai, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester. The research indicates that as organisations in Asia Pacific move towards more data-driven operations and cloud-native models, the focus will increasingly fall on workforce competence, governance, and risk management to ensure AI and cloud investments translate into sustained value and competitive differentiation.

Radio NZ reports: After spending $23m but failing to modernise the births, deaths and marriages registry, officials are having another go. The Department of Internal Affairs has written off $22.9m on the project abandoned last year, returned an unspent $58m to the Crown and remains locked in a dispute with the Australian company DWS over the contract it terminated in late 2023. 'Although some of the work completed will be able to be used for a future civil registration system replacement project, from an accounting standards perspective, it [decided] should impair (write off) all capital costs incurred to date,' DIA told RNZ. So $23 million wasted. Has anyone been held accountable for the failed project?

An Australian collector has bought one of the world's most exclusive cars, but there's a catch to ownership. They cannot drive the opulent electric Cadillac on Australian roads. The well-to-do enthusiast splashed out on a Cadillac Celestiq that starts from $US358,000. However, the price can virtually double depending on which option boxes are ticked. Crafted as an American alternative to Rolls-Royce, the Celestiq employs meticulous attention to detail in creating an American luxury car that's competitive at the highest echelon. Cadillac says it can customise just about any aspect of the Celestiq, apart from one. It can't build the vehicle in right-hand drive. Aletha Israels, a Celestiq Concierge employed by Cadillac to keep its special customers happy, said a collector flew from Australia to Detroit to customise their dream machine. 'The intention was for the vehicle to be delivered to the States for him, not to Australia,' she said. 'A lot of our clients fly in and out on the same day in private jets.' The 5.5m dual-motor large swoopy sedan weighs in at just under three tonnes, but with dual motors and AWD its 488kW and 877Nm output can propel it to 96km/h in 3.7sec. It has usable battery capacity of 111kWh and suggested range of 485km.
