Tommy Robinson released from prison after sentence reduced
Far-right political activist Tommy Robinson has been released from prison after serving a jail term for the civil offence of contempt of court.
The 42-year-old, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, left HMP Woodhill, Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday after his 18-month sentence was reduced by four months at the High Court last week.
He was filmed speaking on his X social media channel for around 20 minutes with longer hair and a bushy beard, and wearing a rosary around his neck.
Robinson said he will organise a free speech festival in London for supporters later in the year.
The activist was jailed in October after admitting multiple breaches of an injunction made in 2021, which barred him from repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee who successfully sued him for libel.

For all the stark warnings and ominous predictions made by the head of NATO today, one key fact remained unmentioned. The West is still funding the Russian war effort to the tune of billions by buying oil and gas, funnelling vast amounts into an economy that is now fully militarised. But he did spell out what Russia is doing with all that hydrocarbon revenue. It is using it to put its economy onto a war footing that is now pumping out munitions at a rate that puts the West to shame, to the extent Russia could have the capability to take on NATO in three to five years, according to Mr Rutte. The secretary general meant his speech in London as a warning and call to arms. But it was also a shameful admission for the Western alliance he heads. More than three years into this war, Russia is outstripping the entire Western bloc by four to one in terms of munitions production. 5:09 Russia's economy is 1/25th that of NATO's combined economic might and crippled by sanctions and yet every three months pumps out more shells than the entire NATO bloc manages in a year. And while Europe carries on funding Russia's war effort by buying its oil and gas, none of that is going to change. We are now in the insane and obscene situation where European taxpayers will have to fork out more, a lot more, to counteract the threat of a militarised Russia, whose resurgence is being subsidised by Western countries buying its fossil fuels.

Brit couple charged on suspicion of importing £1m of cannabis from Thailand after returning from holiday in Bangkok
A COUPLE have been charged with smuggling £1million of cannabis from Thailand. Sian Warren, 34, and Daniel McDonald, 36, were stopped when they returned to Heathrow. 3 3 3 National Crime Agency officers found four cases packed with more than 51kg of cannabis. The pair were charged with importing Class B drugs and appeared the following day at Uxbridge magistrates' court. Trump says 'strange' liberal activist Greta Thunberg needs anger management training after Gaza aid stunt
President Donald Trump called liberal activist Greta Thunberg 'strange' and suggested she needed 'anger management' therapy. Earlier Monday, Israel intercepted the boat that 22-year-old Thunberg and other pro-Palestinian activists were floating toward Gaza, to bring food aid and push for a Palestinian state. During a Monday afternoon White House event, Trump was asked if Thunberg was brought up in his call earlier with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 'Well she's a strange person. She's a young, angry person. I don't know if it's real anger. It's hard to believe. But I saw what happened,' Trump said. 'She's certainly different.' He then floated the idea of 'anger management' for Thunberg. 'I think she has to go to an anger management class. That's my primary recommendation for her,' Trump advised. Trump was also asked if he thought Thunberg was 'kidnapped' by Israel, as the Swedish climate change activist claimed. 'I think Israel has enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg,' Trump said. 'Is that what she said, she was kidnapped by Israel?' Trump later asked a reporter. Thunberg was on board a civilian vessel called the Madleen that was being operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which was intercepted Monday morning by Israel forces. Israel's Foreign Ministry characterized the activists as attention-seeking, calling the boat a 'selfie yacht' filled with 'celebrities.' Trump was also asked about the current status of food aid going into Gaza. 'Gaza right now is in the midst of a massive negotiation between us and Hamas and Israel and Iran actually is involved. And we'll see what's going to happen with Gaza,' Trump said. 'We want to get the hostages back,' he said referring to the Israeli citizens who were kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 terror attack. The U.S. was able to get the last American-Israeli hostage back last month, ahead of Trump's trip to the Middle East. The president skipped Israel on his first major international swing, traveling to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
