
Engineer and BBA graduate arrested for peddling marijuana gummies in Bengaluru
The Byatarayanapura police have arrested two persons, including a 25-year-old engineer, for allegedly peddling drugs in the form of marijuana-laced gummies in Bengaluru.
Based on a tip-off, police caught Mohammed Zahid and Ismail Adnan while delivering the drugs. They recovered 1,440 grams of gummy packs worth ₹3 lakh along with cash of ₹50,000 from them.
The accused were waiting in Patel Muniyappa Layout to deliver the goods to their clients when they were arrested, said the police.
According to the police, Zahid is a BE graduate and works in a private firm while Adnan is a BBA graduate who works in a private firm.
Their associate is absconding. Efforts are on to nab him to ascertain the source of the drugs, the police said.
The duo have been booked under NDPS Act.

Youth arrested with MD drugs in Kanadia

Youth held with cannabis in Badnawar
Mhow: A youth was caught with cannabis in a bag on the outskirts of Badnawar town on Thursday evening. Sub-inspector Chandrapal Singh Rajawat of Badnawar police station said that a source informed the police about a person standing near the pond with cannabis, intending to hand it over to a customer. A police team reached the location and apprehended Pratik Dewda, 22, a resident of Indira Garden, Badnawar. When the poly bag he was holding was checked, 1.2 kg of cannabis worth Rs 10,000 was found in the bag. He was booked under section 8/20 of NDPS Act and was produced in court on Friday. The court sent him to judicial remand.

Three held with 23 kg ganja
1 2 Kakinada: The Sarpavaram Police apprehended three individuals involved in the illegal transportation of 23 kilograms of ganja. The accused, identified as Challa Naga Siva Manikanta, Maddala Udaya Kumar, and Yenugupalli Raju, were arrested on Friday morning following a raid conducted by a police team led by SI P Srinivas Kumar. During the raid, the police seized 23 kilograms of ganja, classified as a commercial quantity under the NDPS Act, and a Maruti Swift Dzire car used in transporting the contraband. The accused confessed to procuring ganja from Dharakonda for illegal sale. The three accused have an extensive criminal history, with involvement in murder, theft, burglaries, and NDPS cases across multiple police stations. They have been remanded to judicial custody, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the absconding person.
