A video is circulating on social media shows a violent altercation between two women, one of whom is said to be a councillor from the Trinamool Congress (TMC). In the viral clip, the woman in a white suit, said to be a TMC councillor, can be seen in getting involved in a heated scuffle with another woman.
The confrontation reportedly began following a near-collision, with one woman riding a scooter and the other on a bike. The situation escalated, resulting in a physical fight in the middle of the road.
The video was shared by the West Bengal BJP on its official social media handle. According to which, the TMC councillor was identified as Shrabanti Roy.
This is not a casual street fight.The woman in white Salwar harassing the lady is the TMC Councillor of Panihati Municipality Ward 26 Shrabanti Roy.

Referring to the altercation as 'not a casual street fight", the BJP attacked the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool government and said, 'People of Bengal are no longer scared of TMC."

‘Leveraging power of technology': Modi reflects on India's digital progress in last 11 years
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reflected on the country's progress in technology and digital public infrastructure over the past decade as the BJP-led government marked 11 years in office last month, and credited the role of young Indians in shaping and driving many of these changes. 'Leveraging the power of technology has brought innumerable benefits for people. Service delivery and transparency have been greatly boosted. Furthermore, technology has become a means of empowering the lives of the poorest of poor,' PM Modi said in a post on X. The Prime Minister also shared a post by the IT ministry-led MyGovIndia, summarising key digital developments over the past decade. Titled 'Tech it to the top', the post highlighted, among other things, a 2,500-fold increase in Unified Payment Interface (UPI) transaction volumes over the past eight years, and its expansion to over seven countries, including a recent entry into Europe via France. According to the recent National Statistical Office's Comprehensive Modular Survey: Telecom 2025, nearly 99.5% of Indians aged 15-29, who can make online banking transactions, said they are capable of using UPI for digital payments. In a separate post, the Centre shared updates on its Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which it said helped transfer over ₹44 lakh crore across 322 schemes and saved ₹3.48 lakh crore by cutting out leakages. The scale-up of Aadhaar, now used by over 1.4 billion people, was also presented as a pillar of digital governance. The post also touched upon India's innovations in the drone sector, mentioning how it has empowered rural women in initiatives like 'Drone Didis' to strategic deployments in Operation Sindoor. 'Our self-reliance is soaring with 550+ Indian drone companies emerging, and 14,000+ SwaYaan beneficiaries ready to fly,' the post read. In the field of artificial intelligence, the government said it has supported the development of AI Centres of Excellence and AI tools such as Chitralekha (an open-source video transcreation platform) and Everest 1.0 (a multilingual AI model developed under the Hanooman project). The government also lauded the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), a ₹1.55-lakh-crore production-PLI scheme aimed at attracting investment and promoting local chip design. The mission, launched by the IT ministry in 2021, has so far approved six semiconductor units across Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Assam, with many more to be announced soon. In the space sector, ISRO's launch of 393 foreign satellites was cited as a marker of progress, along with a proposed goal of setting up a Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS) by 2035. Finally, the government noted that its digital literacy campaign in rural areas, PMGDISHA, had trained over 6.3 crore individuals achieving its targets ahead of schedule. The campaign comes as part of a broader effort by the government to showcase achievements across sectors, as it completes over a decade in office since PM Modi took over on May 26, 2014.

India scuppered 200,000 cyberattacks during Operation Sindoor: Khattar
India foiled around two lakh cyberattacks targeting its power infrastructure in over the week during the Operation Sindoor, Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said here on Thursday. "Since the advancement in technology, new dangers have emerged -- cyberattacks or cybercrimes. There has been an increase in these, but the government has worked on it, and our cybersecurity has almost stopped all such dangers," Khattar told reporters here. He was addressing a press conference on the completion of 11 years of the BJP-led Central government. "There have been many cyberattacks on the country. As far as the Power department is concerned, around two lakh cyberattacks were attempted, but our cyber department foiled each one of them, and there were no losses," the minister said. Khattar said these attempts were made in "eight to ten days" around the time Operation Sindoor went underway. Asked whether the attacks were made from within the country or outside it, the minister said these attacks can take place from any corner of the world. "It is known worldwide that those against us will do things like these, but We have stopped such attacks. Our system is capable and in the future also, we will foil all such attacks," he said. "When someone fails for the first time, and second time, he will ultimately get discouraged and stop," he added.

TMC, BJP flay vandalism of ancestral home of Tagore in Bangladesh
Kolkata, June 12 (UNI) West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress and the principal opposition BJP on Thursday strongly condemned the vandalism of the ancestral home of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore in Bangladesh's Sirajganj district. In a statement, the TMC said 'We strongly condemn the vandalism of Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore's ancestral home in Bangladesh's Sirajganj district.' The ruling party said, "Gurudev is a symbol of Bengal's cultural heritage and a global icon of literature and humanism. Such acts of disrespect are an affront to every Bengali's identity and pride," and urged the Central government to take cognizance of this grave incident and initiate bilateral dialogue to ensure that the concerned authorities in Bangladesh act swiftly and bring the culprits to justice." Our icons are not collateral damage for mob fury," the TMC concluded. In a separate statement, BJP state president and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar, while condemning the vandalism said " Shameful! outrageous! even the ancestral home of Nobel laureate and global icon Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore is not spared — vandalised under the rule of Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh! In Shahjadpur of Sirajganj." He alleged that a mob of radical miscreants stormed into Tagore's historic Kachharibari, raising anti-Tagore slogans and vandalising the ancestral home of the poet, whose composition Janagana and Amar Sonar Bangla are the national anthems of India and Bangladesh, respectively. "They smashed windows, doors, and furniture, desecrating a priceless monument of Bengali literature, culture, and heritage. This attack is not just on a building — it is a direct assault on the soul of Bengali identity, on the legacy of free thought, and the very symbol of art and intellect. And yet, the Yunus administration remains silent. One question echoes loud — is Tagore now a 'criminal' too in Bangladesh, simply because he was a Hindu?" the Union Education Minister of states said. Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari was more vocal while condemning the vandalism by the " jihadies". " The sacred legacy of our most precious Kobi Gourab Rabindranath Thakur was desecrated in Sirajganj, Bangladesh, where a mob led by BNP and Chhatra Shibir activists vandalized the historic Rabindra Kachari Bari. This shameful & utterly disgraceful act of destruction targeted a site that embodies Bengal's cultural soul and Tagore's universal message of humanity." Adhikari said on his X handle. He said windows shattered, furniture ruined, and a global icon's memory insulted. "I raised the issue during my speech at the Mahaprabhu Jagannath Dev's Snan Yatra event at ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations); Kolkata, yesterday. " This is a wake-up call for the Hindus of West Bengal. When extremist forces gain ground, they spare no one, not even a figure revered worldwide like Tagore. The attack on Kachari Bari is not just an assault on a building; it's an attack on our shared heritage, our identity, and our values," Adhikari said as he posted the video clips of vandalism in Bangladesh.
