The US government designated three Mexican financial firms as potential money launderers tied to illicit opioid trafficking, as it seeks to clamp down on cartel financing.
The US Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, said it issued the orders 'as being of primary money laundering concern' against CIBanco SA, Intercam Banco SA and brokerage Vector Casa de Bolsa SA, according to a statement Wednesday.

Commanders Owner Makes $500K Investment in Jayden Daniels

Commanders Owner Makes $500K Investment in Jayden Daniels originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Washington Commanders already got their money's worth when they drafted quarterback Jayden Daniels No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. His phenomenal rookie season finished with a 12-5 record, Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and a playoff run to the NFC Championship Game - enough to get fans in the nation's capital overflowing with excitement for the future of their franchise. Advertisement Now owner Josh Harris is making another investment into his young star. At Fanatics Fest, Harris purchased a one-of-one Daniels trading card for $500K. For all the collectors out there, the card was a Panini Black Prizm Finite that was graded at a 9.5 out of 10. Harris made the deal with the card's original owner with Daniels in attendance. The fan also was gifted a signed jersey in the exchange. According to Fanatics Collect, the card is officially the most expensive Jayden Daniels card ever sold. The card was originally found by Joey Carrion, the owner of a sports card store in New York. He reportedly pulled the card in a box that costed $36. Advertisement Serena Williams' husband and founder of Reddit - and long-time Commanders fan - had put a bounty on the card worth $200K, but it was sold to Florida-based store Rothcards, who then sold it to Harris on Sunday. Just like any investment, Daniels' performance will continue to shoot the price for the rare card through the roof. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury can't say enough good things about the new cornerstone of the Commanders franchise. He's excited to watch Daniels' develop even more this season. "You can see the comfort level was there this year," Kingsbury said earlier this offseason. "I mean, just watching him move around, he's not thinking as much, he's playing fast and letting his natural gifts kind of take over, and that's what we want to see. So, I expect him to take a big jump." Advertisement Last year as a rookie, Daniels amassed nearly 4,500 all-purpose yards and 31 total touchdowns. In just two years since purchasing the franchise, Harris - who has a $10 billion net worth, according to Forbes - has orchestrated one of the best turnarounds in sports. He now takes ownership of one of the most valuable pieces of NFL memorabilia on the market. We get the indication that if Daniels keeps this pace throughout his career, his true value to the Commanders organization will be infinitely greater than his trading card ever was.
