Liam Ó hAnnaidh: Kneecap member arrives at court
Kneecap supporters have been protesting outside court this morning, ahead of rapper Liam O'Hanna appearing in the dock to face a terrorism charge.
Protesters began to chant "free Palestine" outside court as Kneecap's Naoise O Caireallain watched on from inside. As the huge crowd gathered, O Caireallain was seen punching his fist in the air in solidarity.
Cops were forced to remove counter-protesters who has appeared among Kneecap supporters outsite London's Westminster Magistrates Court.
Pandemonium reigned as police officers were photographed ordering some away from the official pro-Mo Chara protest, which took place before the hearing The Mirror reports.
O'Hanna, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara but is also known as Liam Og O Hannaidh, is appearing in court over an incident on November 21 last year.
Mo Chara was swamped by protesters as he arrived to face his terrorism charge. Following him soon after and waving to the crowd was bandmate Naoise O Caireallain.

O Caireallain, also known as Moglai Bap, appeared cheerful as he greeted fans and made his way through the throng of fans towards the courthouse.
The 27-year-old's appearance comes after the group were axed from their planned slot at this summer's TRNSMT Festival, in Glasgow, over police fears over safety.
He is appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court today charged after displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah at a gig at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London.
In a statement earlier this year, the Metropolitan Police said the flag was displayed "in such a way or in such circumstances as to arouse reasonable suspicion that he is a supporter of a proscribed organisation".
Rap trio Kneecap shared a joint statement days later denying the offence, claiming it was " political policing" and saying they will "vehemently defend" themselves.
The prosecution told the court the case is not about O'Hanna's support for Palestine or criticism of Israel and he has the right to voice his opinions and solidarity.
They added it deals with a video recording from last year when he wore and displayed a flag from the terrorist organisation Hezbollah.
Wearing a black tracksuit, he walked into the dock at 10.49am with his hands in his pockets before sitting down. The rest of the band and their manager walked into court behind him before entering the public gallery.
The gallery was packed with fans, including some who had flown in from around Europe, including Austria and Ireland. He gave his name as Liam O'Hanna and told the court his home address.
Paul Weller was spotted outside court to support Mo Chara this morning. The pop legend, 67, was pictured wearing a pair of shades as he stood with protesters and posed for a selfie with a fan.
Police Scotland previously said allowing the Northern Irish trio to perform at Glasgow Green on July 11 would require "a significant policing operation".
The Belfast trio were also criticised over 2023 gig footage that appeared to show a band member saying: "The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP."

Pro-Israel hackers drain $90 million from Iran crypto exchange, analytics firm says
Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, was hacked for more than $90 million Wednesday, according to blockchain analytics firm Elliptic. The funds were drained from platform wallets into addresses bearing anti-government messages explicitly referencing Iran' s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, pointing to a politically motivated cyberattack, Elliptic said. Pro-Israel hacking group Gonjeshke Darande, or ' Predatory Sparrow, ' claimed responsibility for the attack and said it would release the exchange's source code. Elliptic said the exchange was offline at the time of its post. Predatory Sparrow also claimed credit for a separate cyberattack on Iran's state-owned Bank Sepah this week. Fighting erupted between Israel and Iran on Friday and the countries have continued to trade missile fire. Iran supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened the U.S. with 'irreparable damage' Wednesday in response to President Donald Trump's demand that the country surrender. Though the stolen assets have not been conclusively attributed to the group, Elliptic noted that the funds were sent to cryptographic addresses the hackers likely cannot control — suggesting the money was intentionally destroyed as a symbolic act rather than stolen for profit. Elliptic's research linked the exchange to Iran's IRGC, a powerful branch of the military designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and Canada. Past investigations have connected the platform to sanctioned IRGC-linked ransomware operatives and individuals close to Khamenei. Blockchain data also shows activity between the Nobitex exchange and wallets associated with Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Houthis.

Kneecap receive rockstar reception after terrorism charge court hearing
Rap group Kneecap received a rockstar reception outside court as a judge heard one of its members faces criminal charges for allegedly supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation and not his support for the people of Palestine. Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, and his bandmates Naoise O Caireallain and J J O Dochartaigh were cheered by hundreds of supporters as they arrived in 'Free Mo Chara' T-shirts at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Dozens surged around the entrance of the court building as they made their way inside, with some also entering the lobby before the hearing, trying to get close to the Belfast trio. O hAnnaidh was charged last month after allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah at a gig in November last year. The court heard the 27-year-old is 'well within his rights' to voice his opinions on Israel and Palestine, but the alleged incident at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London, is a 'wholly different thing'. After the brief hearing concluded, the defendant exited the court building to a festival-like atmosphere, with fans waving flags, playing drums and one supporter setting off a smoke canister. During the hearing, the allegations against O hAnnaidh were summarised by prosecutor Michael Bisgrove, who said: 'It's not about Mr O hAnnaidh's support for the people of Palestine or his criticism of Israel. 'He's well within his rights to voice his opinions and solidarity, as is anybody else. 'The allegation in this case is a wholly different thing and deals with a video recording showing that, in November of last year, Mr O hAnnaidh wore and displayed the flag of Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist organisation, while saying 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah'. 'Of course, support for the one is not the same as support for the other. 'So the issue in this case, and the reason it has come to court, it centres on the apparent support by Mr O hAnnaidh of a proscribed terrorist organisation.' Wearing a dark zip-up jacket and trousers, the defendant spoke briefly to confirm his identity at the beginning of the hearing. Hundreds of fans, along with journalists, crammed against the doors of the court building as they waited for the performer to leave. Outside court following the hearing, O hAnnaidh's bandmate, Mr O Caireallain, led the huge crowds in chants of 'Free Palestine'. Wearing sunglasses and a keffiyeh, Mr O Caireallain said: 'For anybody going to Glastonbury, you can see us there at 4pm on the Saturday. 'If you can't be there we'll be on the BBC, if anybody watches the BBC. We'll be at Wembley in September. 'But most importantly: free, free Palestine.' O hAnnaidh was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing at the same court on August 20.

Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha 'absolutely devastated' as co-star axed from show in ITV cuts
ITV Loose Women star Nadia opened up on her YouTube channel about the cuts. Loose Women panellist Nadia Sawalha has said she's "devastated" after learning that a co-star and friend had been axed from the ITV show. The move comes as the channel announced it was being forced to cut the budget for the daytime TV schedule, hitting Loose Women, Lorraine and Good Morning Britain particularly hard. Nadia spoke about the huge cuts on her YouTube channel, about how the changes were affecting her and how one of her close friends no longer had a job, writes The Mirror. Speaking with husband Mark Adderley, she said: "From next year there will be no Loose Women audience. I am totally devastated by this fact, I can't get over it at all. Not only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.' Comedian Lee Peart has been the warm-up act for the last eight years on Loose Women. ITV's budget cuts were first announced last month, with a number of popular programmes taking a huge hit as the broadcaster battles a mounting financial crisis. The Lorraine Show will lose its long-standing hour-long slot from January 2026, and will now air for just 30 minutes, from 9:30am until 10am. The show, presented by Scots TV legend Lorraine, has seen its airtime been slashed in half and the talk show has also been restricted to being broadcast just 30 weeks of the year. Fears have been circulating that the former journalist may quit her show, which has been running since 2010, as a result of the cuts. Lorraine received the news after returning to work following a surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes last year. The operation was described as "preventative" and performed via keyhole surgery.' As part of the shake-up, Good Morning Britain will have its current 6am to 9am slot extended until 9:30am. During the 22 weeks of the year that Lorraine will now be off-air, Good Morning Britain's airtime has been extended until 10am, adding an extra hour to its original schedule. ITV competitions are also taking a hit. ITV's Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier will reportedly no longer be sent on lavish holidays abroad. Over the past year, the duo have been whisked off to a number of sun-soaked locations to front ITV competitions, appearing on programmes such as Good Morning Britain, Loose Women, This Morning and Lorraine. Andi's enviable locations have included the Maldives, Australia, Cape Town, and Florida while Jeff has been sent to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malta. However, channel executives believe it's in "bad taste" to continue flying presenters to exotic destinations after announcing hundreds of devastating redundancies across ITV as part of their cost-saving measures.
