Rarely do I gasp at the sight of dim sum, but the vibrant beauty of the green garlic, chive and chicken and ruby-red crystal morel trio has us snapping away on our phones. They taste as good as they look – and are not only great value but utterly delicious.
We're seated in the chic Chinoiserie-style dining room, and we indulge in Sichuan Suffolk corn-fed chicken with cashew nuts – its kick of dried chilli is just right. Their vegetarian options are equally special, like the clay pot black bean aubergine.
Each dish is served with olive fried rice and crunchy seasonal vegetables (set menus often get you on the sides). For pudding, the refreshing coco mango vegan sundae felt just like heading into the Mayfair sunshine.
Baskets in Bloom menu, from £34pp. 55 Curzon St, Mayfair, W1J 8PG. Book here.
Best for: fashion meets Chelsea Flower Show
Sticks 'n' Sushi is embracing this year's Chelsea Flower Show theme with a stunning installation of a floral display by the legendary late Alexander McQueen.
The sushi restaurant is drawing inspiration from McQueen's Spring 2001 'VOSS' collection influenced by dusky purple kimonos featuring exotic birds dancing through an oriental garden. To celebrate, they have launched a limited-edition cocktail, Kimono Bloom, made with Akashi Tai Yuzushu, St Germain and strawberry shrub.
Kimono Bloom cocktail, £14. 19-25 May. Sticks'n'Sushi Chelsea. Book here.
Best for: feeling like you're in Bridgerton
Sketch In Bloom isn't technically tied to the Chelsea Flower Show, rather it's a floricultural celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday. Enter through a clematis-strewn pergola fluttering with pages from Austen's novels, and step into the Library, where a giant wisteria tree awaits.
In the iconic rose gold dining room, staff in Regency-inspired dresses serve afternoon tea, while a string trio worthy of a Bridgerton ball plays in the corner. Miniature spring delights on your silver cake stand include a daisy-shaped apricot tart, lavender macaron and an adorable mousse cake disguised as a strawberry. Even the iconic Pod bathrooms are blooming, watched over by a giant topiary Jane on a throne of ballet pink roses and lilac delphiniums.
Afternoon tea, £115pp including a glass of Champagne Pommery Brut Royal. Until June 1. 9 Conduit St, Mayfair. Book here.
Best for: floral fun
London's chicest floral festival is here. It's Chelsea in Bloom, where you can gaze at 115 different floral displays across the streets of Chelsea. It's the perfect way to soak up the floral fun.
Take in stunning installations like giant yellow wellies beneath umbrella canopies in Sloane Square and Elton John-inspired sunglasses on Sloane Street. The Cadogan Arms is joining the celebrations, with a floral installation, a special cocktail menu in partnership with Casamigos and an edible flower-topped dessert.
Chelsea In Bloom, 19-25 May. Find out what else is on here.

Celebrate Chelsea Flower Show with CROSSTOWN'S limited-edition doughnuts. We're eyeing the Lavender Crème Brûlée, filled with silky lavender buttercream and custard, and the Pistachio & Salted Caramel Cookie Cup. The sweetest sip in town… available from all CROSSTOWN stores and online later this week.

Go down the unprepossessing bus stop side of Victoria station and you'll find neighbourhood gem Tozi. It's a poster child for warm Italian hospitality, with complimentary fresh bread and gorgeous Sardinian wine by the glass. It's all very La Dolce Vita… literally. They're projecting the 1960s classic onto the wall above the kitchen.
Share your way through the cicchetti menu: delicate yellowtail carpaccio, fresh and simple salads, and a delicious selection of Italian meats and cheeses. Their springtime special, Rustichelle with peas, asparagus and Tuscan pecorino, is vibrant, green and earthy, but it's not a patch on their signature dish: perfect pasta parcels of buffalo ricotta in a buttery black truffle sauce.
Continue the green theme with Tozi's take on London's trendiest ingredient – a silky, nutty pistachio tiramisu. Bellissima !
Cicchetti from £9.75. 8 Gillingham St, Pimlico, SW1V 1HJ. Book here.
Set in the upstairs area of the cavernous warehouse setting of Big Penny Social in the reliably trendy east London neighbourhood of Walthamstow, Flukes promises enough interactive games, craft beer, and cocktails to make for the perfect birthday celebration or corporate get-together.
It's a bit more expensive than simply putting your pound down at the local pub, but the interactive darts board with a projector, screen, and array of games is a competitor to the likes of Flight Club. The design of the pool table area can make gameplay a little awkward with people coming and going, but the atmosphere and bar food more than make up for it.
Though the private karaoke rooms could use a lock (interruptions mid-warble aren't ideal), the brand-new equipment and proper soundproofing mean this spot is likely to become justifiably popular.
Darts, shuffle and karaoke, £10pp per hour. Pool, £15 per hour. Upstairs at Big Penny Social, 1 Priestley Way, Walthamstow, E17 6AL. Book here.

Horror final moments of TV star before she was gunned down while holding toddler
Reality star Teodora Marcu was shot dead while carrying her toddler daughter in her arms in a horrific street attack Reality star Teodora Marcu was on her way to buy ice cream when she was shot dead while holding her toddler daughter in her arms in a horrific street attack outside the Cosmopolis residential complex near the Romanian capital, Bucharest, on Saturday (31 May). The pregnant star was allegedly fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend, who turned the gun on himself when cornered by police officers. The 23-year-old TV personality, known for her appearance in a Love Island-style programme called Insula Iubirii, was holding onto her daughter, three, when the suspected killer, Robert Lupu, 49, allegedly shot her at close range. It was reported that she left him when she found out he was lying about his marriage and he never accepted the relationship was over. Earlier in the day, Teodora was at a children's party with her cousin and the children, with the duo sharing posts from the party on their respective social media pages. They left the party and went to buy ice cream when Teodora was allegedly shot four times in the chest and abdomen. It's said her cousin helped her on the street and tried to console her young daughter. Meanwhile, the suspect calmly left the scene and was later tracked down by the cops. He allegedly shot himself when he was cornered, as reported by NeedToKnow. The police said in a statement: 'Two lethal firearms were found on the man, one of which he used to commit suicide. "The two weapons were seized by specialists from the Weapons Service of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate, and we are still trying to determine their origin.' Teodora was 26 weeks pregnant with her second child with her partner Alexandru Marcu, a professional illusionist, at the time of her death. Following her shock death, her fans took to her social media page to share their condolences, with one writing under her recent Instagram post: "It breaks my soul.. And I cry with the phone in my hand..." "May God rest you, dear soul! although I have not followed you or followed your evolution from Love Island, I lay here the words that I want to say. "I am sorry that you left us so early and I pray to God that you rest in peace wherever you are!" one fan said.

Lidl shoppers 'obsessed' with new ice cream and can't believe price
People are 'running to Lidl' after spotting a new Italian-style ice cream available in mouthwatering flavours, and some shoppers are saying they are the 'best ever' It's no secret that summer and ice cream go hand in hand. On average, each person in the UK eats around nine litres of ice cream per year. This puts Brits in the top 10 globally for ice cream consumption, according to Little Moons. While all types of ice cream are great, Italians are known across the world for their gelato - which is often handmade with less butter fat and air than other frozen desserts contain, making the flavours more intense with a creamy and smooth texture. Some historians believe gelato was first invented on the island of Sicily in the ninth century, with the recipe having been adapted since then. However, others think the gelato we know today was invented by Cosimo Ruggeri and Bernardo Buontalenti in the 16th century. While 'normal' ice cream is more easily accessible in the UK, there are still ways you can enjoy the Italian version without having to leave the country. And Lidl has now made it even more accessible, selling their version of Italian-style ice cream that has people 'running' to the shops to get their hands on a tub or two. Taking to TikTok, Freya Watkins shared a video clip she took as she was doing her shopping in Lidl on 31 May when she spotted the ice cream tubs in the freezer section. With flavours such as hazelnut praline, raspberry cheesecake, vanilla pecan crunch and banana chocolate caramel swirl, it's easy to see why people have shared their enthusiasm, which is retailing for £3.49 per tub. Another social media user, Lucy Gibb, decided to do a taste test, trying the hazelnut praline, raspberry cheesecake, and banana chocolate caramel swirl flavours, and they all got raving reviews. First up was the raspberry cheesecake which scored an 11/10, with Lucy explaining: "Reminds me of my childhood [favourite] Mr Whippy with raspberry sauce!" Next up was the hazelnut praline, which Lucy said tasted similar to a Kinder Bueno chocolate bar, earning it a score of 8.5/10. And scoring a 9/10 was the banana chocolate caramel flavour, which Lucy said she was surprised by. "Did not expect to like this as I don't enjoy artificial banana but it did not give this at all - really yummy," she wrote on her post. Several people quickly took to the comments of the two videos with many saying they were desperate to try the ice cream. "There are not enough banana flavoured desserts in this world this looks incred," one person said, as another viewer wrote: "seeing this video after buying the vanilla pecan crunch, it's soooo good." "I saw those .. I picked one up then put it down, I'll grab one next time," another viewer shared. A fourth person said: "The best ice cream range ever made." "I want all these, but just done the big monthly shop, so literally no freezer space for them," another person wrote.
