Joe Hand Promotions and Most Valuable Promotions Join Forces to Deliver Two Summer Blockbusters to Commercial Establishments Across North America
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Joe Hand Promotions (JHP), the premier distributor of live sports content to commercial establishments, and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the trailblazing boxing promotion founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, have partnered once again to deliver two of the most highly anticipated boxing events of the summer to bars, restaurants, casinos, and commercial venues across North America.
The partnership extends from the wildly successful Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event last November that set the all-time record for combat sports activations in commercial establishments, with a major boxing event on Saturday, June 28, live on DAZN PPV, as global boxing superstar Jake Paul takes on former middleweight world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. — a captivating matchup for sports fans across generations. The co-main event features Mexico's own Gilberto Ramirez, the reigning WBO and WBA unified cruiserweight world champion, taking on Cuba's former IBF and WBA cruiserweight titleholder and current WBA mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticós—delivering a thrilling night of international action with strong appeal to Mexican fight fans across North America.
Two weeks later, on Friday, July 11, at Madison Square Garden in an historic moment for women's sports, MVP will present undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor versus seven-division titleholder Amanda Serrano in a much-anticipated third fight between the two superstars. The main event matchup will top the biggest all-women's boxing card ever assembled, the first-ever all-women's card at MSG and will air globally on Netflix. In the co-main event, MVP's reigning undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner will face MVP's undefeated WBA Interim world champion, Spain's Jennifer Miranda, in a 10-round undisputed super featherweight world championship fight contested at 130 pounds.
'These are two of the biggest events of the summer, and we're proud to be working with Jake, Nakisa and the entire team at Most Valuable Promotions once again to deliver their excellent events to the commercial marketplace across North America,' said Joe Hand, III, President of Joe Hand Promotions. 'Our goal is to connect fans with unforgettable moments in sports—and this partnership helps us do exactly that. With our support, connected bars, restaurants, casinos and the like will deliver two of the must-see events of the summer for our customers.'
'At Most Valuable Promotions, we're committed to creating world-class events and delivering them to fans wherever they gather," said Nakisa Bidarian, Co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. 'Our expanded partnership with Joe Hand Promotions allows us to bring this summer's blockbuster events—Jake Paul vs. Julio César Chávez Jr. and Taylor vs. Serrano III—to sports bars, restaurants, casinos, and commercial venues across North America. Together, we're setting a new standard for how live boxing is experienced outside the arena.'
Through this agreement, JHP will provide its nationwide network of sports bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues with full distribution, sales support, and marketing materials to help promote and activate around both events. This ensures that fight fans can enjoy these marquee matchups in a vibrant, communal atmosphere.

5 San Francisco 49ers who could win NFL MVP award in 2025
The San Francisco 49ers haven't had an NFL MVP award winner since 1994 when quarterback Steve Young took home the trophy for a second time in three seasons. They got close in 2023 when running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterback Brock Purdy finished No. 3 and No. 4 in the voting, respectively. We were sifting through their chances to snag an MVP winner for the first time in more than 30 years and came up with five players who could bring the award back to the Bay Area: 5. LB Fred Warner It's admittedly hard to fathom a linebacker winning an MVP award. We picked Warner out of respect for his all-around skill set and the fact he was a First-Team All-Pro last year despite playing from Week 4 on with a fractured ankle. If the 49ers have the No. 1 defense and Warner leads the way with a few interceptions, a handful of sacks, and some dominant prime time performances, perhaps an off-ball LB works his way into the MVP conversation. 4. QB Mac Jones Look, at least we're making Jones the No. 4 candidate and not No. 1 like some people did after Sam Darnold signed with the 49ers ahead of the 2023 season. That was actually a thing. While Jones hasn't been particularly good since his rookie season, he's still a quarterback which gives him a major boost in the MVP discussion. If Purdy gets hurt early in the year and Jones steps into head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense, thrives and leads San Francisco to a division title, he would at the very least be in the discussion for the award. 3. DE Nick Bosa Playing a high-profile position where sacks offer a flashy, catch-all stat for voters to cite helps Bosa's case quite a bit over other defensive players. The 49ers would love to get a year from their former Defensive Player of the Year where he leaps into the MVP conversation. If he does, it means he's in the 20-plus sack realm and spearheading a defense that is one of the NFL's most dominant units. 2. RB Christian McCaffrey We don't need to reach very far to make McCaffrey an MVP candidate considering he finished third in MVP voting just two years ago. Despite his recent injury problems, McCaffrey is still the most unique playmaker on the 49ers. Quarterback Brock Purdy may have to rely on McCaffrey a lot as a receiver, putting another season with 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards on the table. If he hits those benchmarks on a high-octane 49ers offense, he'll be back in the MVP mix. 1. QB Brock Purdy The 49ers paid Purdy like a player who can win an MVP, and he played like that in 2023. Last season he took a step back, but if he and the 49ers improve this year, and the 49ers offense gets back to scoring 30 points on almost everyone, he'll be prominent in the MVP discourse.

49ers news: Draft pick praise, free agent spending and more for Cardinals fans to know
A look at what has been going on with the Cardinals' NFC West rival 49ers. We have made it through another week in the NFL offseason, and that means we will check in with the Arizona Cardinals' NFC West rivals. What is new with the LA Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks? Here are a few stories about the 49ers from the last week that Cardinals fans should know. GM praises top draft pick The 49ers selected EDGE Mykel Williams in the first round, a promising player the Cardinals probably would have selected were he still on the board at No. 16. 49ers GM John Lynch spoke about Williams and now it felt like he was a perfect fit. Why the Niners cut back on free agent spending this year Most will look at what the 49ers did in the offseason and consider it bad. They lost a number of starters in free agency. Lynch explained why they took a more measured approach. George Kittle stands up for ex-teammate The Niners traded receiver Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders. Some footage of Samuel came out and many have called him fat and slow. Kittle defended Samuel. Brock Purdy considered dark horse for MVP Purdy was a legitimate MVP candidate two seasons ago. He struggled more last season when his best players were hurt. But one analyst believes that Purdy could be a dark horse for this next season's MVP award. Rookie LB needs surgery, will be ready for training camp Third-round pick Nick Martin, a linebacker, broke his thumb in offseason workouts but did not miss any time. He is expected to have surgery and be ready for training camp. Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. See Kevin Durant react in real-time to the Rockets trading for him
Kevin Durant was on stage at New York's Fanatics Fest when ESPN's Shams Charania broke the news that he had been traded from Phoenix to Houston. Kevin Durant is joining the Houston Rockets via trade, and the moment it leaked to the outside world (via ESPN's Shams Charania) was a bit awkward for the 15-time NBA All-Star. At the time of the midday Sunday leak, Durant just happened to be on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York, as part of a panel discussion with Taylor Rooks. Hundreds of fans were watching and listening in close proximity. Durant smiled and didn't look too surprised, as he likely had some indication that this news was coming. 'We're gonna see man, we're gonna see,' Durant told the crowd, via Arye Pulli. Houston was reportedly among Durant's most preferred destinations, so he's likely pleased with the outcome. A 6-foot-11 forward, Durant averaged 26.6 points (52.7% FG, 43.0% on 3-pointers), 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season, and he earned All-Star honors for the 15th time in his Hall of Fame career. The former NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) turns 37 years old in September, and his current contract runs through next season. As part of the deal, Houston is sending Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the first round of the 2025 draft, and five second-round picks to Phoenix.
