Harvey Weinstein Net Worth: Where does the Hollywood Mogul's fortune stand after being convicted as a sex offender?
Harvey Weinstein's legal saga is all over the internet now. And so is his downfall.
On June 11, after a jury convicted Weinstein of one count of criminal sexual act involving Miriam Haley, a former production assistant, dating back to 2006, and acquitted him of another charge involving Kaja Sokola, a 2002 allegation, the third charge, a third-degree rape accusation from Jessica Mann regarding a 2013 incident, remained unresolved due to the jury's inability to reach a consensus.
On June 12, a Manhattan judge, Judge Curtis Farber, declared a mistrial on the final rape charge against the disgraced Hollywood producer due to a deadlock and intense discord among jurors. This decision followed a mixed verdict in his retrial, which had commenced in April 2025. This time, the jury foreperson reported feeling threatened and bullied by fellow jurors, which contributed to the decision to halt further deliberations.
As a result, the charge involving Jessica Mann has not been adjudicated, and a new trial is being considered. A hearing is scheduled for July 2 to discuss the future of the retrial and potential sentencing.
Despite the partial conviction, Weinstein has maintained his innocence, claiming that all encounters were consensual. He plans to appeal the recent conviction.
To keep up with all these hefty legal procedures, how much of a financial toll is it taking on Weinstein?
Let's take a look.

Harvey Weinstein's net worth:
As of June 2025, Harvey Weinstein's financial standing has experienced a significant decline from his peak net worth of $300 million. Once a powerful figure in Hollywood, his estimated net worth now stands at approximately $25 million, a dramatic reduction, thanks to the legal battles, settlements, and the collapse of his production company.
From Hollywood mogul to financial downfall:
Weinstein's fortune was primarily amassed through his co-founding of Miramax Films and The Weinstein Company, both instrumental in producing critically acclaimed films.
However, the #MeToo movement, ignited by allegations against him in 2017, led to his ousting from the company and a series of legal challenges that have eroded his wealth.
Legal battles and financial strain:
Weinstein's legal expenses have been substantial. Reportedly, he paid some lawyers up to $100,000 per month each, potentially amounting to tens of millions in legal expenses since 2017. Additionally, his 2018 divorce from Georgina Chapman reportedly cost between $15 million to $20 million.
Class action lawsuits by alleged sexual assault victims have resulted in settlements totaling at least $43 million. To fund these legal defenses and settlements, Weinstein sold approximately $62 million worth of property between 2017 and 2019.
Collapse of The Weinstein Company:
The Weinstein Company's bankruptcy in 2018 marked a pivotal point in Weinstein's financial decline. The company, once valued at over $500 million, declared bankruptcy following the scandal.
A private equity firm purchased the studio's assets for a reported $289 million, but this sum did not go directly to Harvey Weinstein. The funds were largely used to settle debts and lawsuits, leaving Weinstein with only a fraction of his former wealth.
Real estate liquidation:
To cover mounting legal expenses and settlements, Weinstein sold several properties, including high-end real estate in New York and Los Angeles. Reportedly, Weinstein sold six homes for a total of $56 million between October 2017 and April 2018.
For example, a townhouse in New York City was purchased in 2006 for $15 million and sold in March 2018 for $25.6 million, yielding a $10.65 million profit.
Remaining assets and income streams:
From a peak net worth of $300 million, Weinstein's estimated worth has plummeted to around $25 million. While his wealth has significantly diminished, he may still have residual income from royalties and residuals from films produced during his tenure in Hollywood. However, much of this income could be claimed by his accusers in future settlements. Additionally, any remaining liquid assets or undisclosed holdings could contribute to his current net worth.

Income tax raids Wazirabad tehsil office, property deals for six years under scanner
Gurgaon: A 12-member team of the income tax department on Friday carried out a search and survey of the Wazirabad tehsil office, which handles registries and other records of some of the costliest property transactions in the city, and across the country. Officials told TOI that high-value property transactions, some amounting up to multi-million rupees, from the last six years are under scrutiny. The Wazirabad office is the largest revenue earner in Haryana and logs annual property registries up to Rs 25,000-30,000 crore. Areas such as Golf Course Road in Gurgaon fall under its jurisdiction. Accompanied by a police team, the I-T department started the survey early on Friday morning and asked the registrar to provide access to documents. Officials went through the records for the next 13 hours. An I-T department official said the tehsil office was not providing full and accurate information related to property transactions, causing financial losses to the department, which could not levy the mandated taxes. During registrations, PAN numbers of those involved in transactions were not properly filled, preventing the department from collecting taxes from buyers and sellers. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo "The income tax department was not receiving accurate information. Information about registrations in the tehsil was superficial, and even when details were sent, PAN numbers were not available," the official, who was involved in Friday's survey, said. According to norms, tehsildars have to share details of registries above Rs 30 lakh with the I-T department. The district revenue department has to share details like the name, PAN card and Aadhaar card details of buyers and sellers too. "The disruption in sharing proper information by the revenue department about land transactions hampers our work," the I-T official said. Officials told TOI the search and survey was carried out on the direction of the I-T department's intelligence and criminal investigation wing in Chandigarh. The Wazirabad office came under the wing's scanner after coming across a case of a builder who had registered a farmhouse for Rs 200 crore there. Other than the Wazirabad office, other tehsils in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Palwal are under scrutiny too, they added. Asked about I-T department's action, deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar said on Friday that the govt agency is doing its job and the revenue department is providing all support required. Constable & her newborn die at Banjara Hills hospital; hubby alleges medical negligence
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old police constable and her newborn daughter died at a private hospital in Banjara Hills this week, prompting allegations of medical negligence and a criminal case against the attending gynaecologist and other staff. The deceased, Poludasu Vimala Kumari, was a constable at Khulsumpura police station. She was seven months pregnant with twins and was receiving treatment at a corporate hospital in Banjara Hills for severe bleeding and abdominal pain. At around 5.30am on June 10, the victim's husband, Sunkara Pradeep Kumar (34), a software engineer, rushed her to the hospital after the bleeding worsened. Pradeep alleged that, despite the emergency, hospital staff insisted on an advance payment of 1 lakh — even though the family is covered under the state's Arogya Bhadratha scheme — and refused to begin treatment until the amount was deposited. Doctors informed the family at 12.30pm that one of the twins had died in the womb. Surgery was performed at 6am on June 11. During the procedure, staff handed Pradeep the body of his stillborn baby girl and informed him that the surviving male infant was in a critical condition in the neonatal ICU. Subsequently, Pradeep was busy with the burial of his daughter until the evening, and at around 7.30pm, doctors announced that Vimala had also succumbed while undergoing treatment. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Urologists: Men With ED - Try This Tonight health-paradise Learn More Undo In his police complaint, Pradeep blamed the consultant gynaecologist and the hospital administration for the deaths, alleging delayed intervention and negligent post-operative monitoring. Based on his complaint, a case was registered under Section 106(1) (causing death due to negligence) of the BNS against the gynaecologist, hospital staff, and others on Thursday. Police have sent the constable's body for autopsy. "The case file and the post-mortem report will be submitted for review by the medical board. Based on the board's findings, we will proceed further with the investigation," said Khairatabad sub-inspector Sandeep Reddy. Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here . Draft engineering matrix for 2025 sees drop in available seats in Karnataka
Bengaluru: With at least eight colleges yet to get their seats approved by the regulatory authorities, the draft seat matrix for engineering for 2025-26 has seen a drop of at least 2,616 CET seats. As per the draft matrix released by the higher education department Friday, there are 1,35,969 engineering seats available in the state. Of these, 64,047 will be filled through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) counselling. In the final seat matrix of last year, there were a little over 1.4 lakh seats available and 66,663 seats to be filled through CET quota. "The decrease is because some of the institutions asked for closure and reduction of some courses. While we have a few proposals regarding an increase, they are still under consideration. The delay is on account of late approval from AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), which we'll update in the final draft," said KG Jagadeesha, secretary to higher education. Around 120 colleges applied for changes. "While those for closure were immediately approved, those seeking an increase need further scrutiny from our side to ensure that the criteria are met," he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo While 145 private colleges were counted last year, this time only 141 are present in the matrix currently. Similarly, two more aided colleges, one govt college, and one private unaided minority college are missing from the matrix at present. There are 133 different engineering streams that are up for grabs. A large majority of these are computer science and allied programmes. In mechanical engineering, there are 4,493 seats, down from 4,844 last year. In civil engineering, there are 4,149 CET seats, as against 4,533 last time. "The increase in computer science seats seems to have stabilised this year. Last year, there was a rampant increase in CS and allied programmes. Some colleges increased it by even 1,000 seats. That trend is missing this time," said a college principal. The state govt is also looking to maintain a limit on increase of CS seats. "It's too late to take any decision on it for this year. But we'll consider bringing some regulations on this from next year," said higher education minister MC Sudhakar. Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here .
