Trump's UFC 316 appearance draws massive ovation in New Jersey, fighter celebrates with him after win
President Donald Trump was back at UFC, and the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, didn't disappoint with the welcome.
A thunderous roar befell the sold-out crowd at "The Rock," as Trump walked into the building with UFC CEO Dana White ahead of a UFC 316 stacked main card.
Trump did his signature dance as he walked along the arena floor, greeting UFC fans as he made his way to his seat ringside.
This was a similar welcome he got at the Kaseya Center in Miami at UFC 314, where he had a large entourage with him, including his granddaughter Kai Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel, among others.
While Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ivanka Trump were among those with him in New Jersey on Saturday night, someone who has been there at past events wasn't.
Elon Musk, who was with Trump in Miami, didn't walk out with him this time as their feud continues. Trump and Musk have spent the past few days quarreling on social media after the feud began after Musk started "wearing thin" on the 47th president for about a month, Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy reported on Friday.
The sparring on social media led many to offer their opinion on the matter, including some in the sports world, like boxer Jake Paul.
"One of the problems with the Republican Party is on display today (As a current Republican) We unfortunately have these Alpha male egos and leaders who aren't mature enough sometimes. They're 50+ years old and diss tweeting each other Elon and Trump are great but they need to work together and not make America look bad," Paul wrote on X.
His older brother, Logan Paul, even teased a WWE-style showdown between Trump and Musk on his social platforms. The elder Paul is a star in WWE now.
Trump was already in New Jersey ahead of Saturday night's fight at his golf course in Bedminster. He also commented on Truth Social about New Jersey's Primary coming up on Tuesday, where he endorsed Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli for governor.
"The Great State of New Jersey has a very important Primary coming up on Tuesday. Get Out and Vote for Jack Ciattarelli, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement! His Opponents are going around saying they have my Endorsement, which is not true, I don't even know who they are! We can't play games when it comes to Elections, and New Jersey is a very important State that we must WIN. The whole World is watching. Vote for Jack Ciattarelli to, MAKE NEW JERSEY GREAT AGAIN!" Trump wrote.
When it was time to watch some fights, California's Kevin Holland defeated Brazil's Vicente Luque by submission, and he jumped out of the octagon to shake hands with a few including Trump. They exchanged some words before Holland continued his celebration.
UFC fighters have been seen shaking hands with Trump after victories in the past.
The main event for this UFC 316 card will be the second chapter of "Suga" Sean O'Malley against Merab Dvalishvili, the latter of whom won by decision in their first bout.

Hall declares victory over Davis for Fort Worth City Council District 6 seat
Dr. Mia Hall declared victory over opponent Daryl R. Davis II to the applause and cheers of friends, mentors and family Saturday night at her election watch party at Bowlounge. Unofficial polling data shows Hall leading with 57.12% over Davis's 42.88% in the race for the Fort Worth City Council District 6 seat. Allof the 19 polling locations are reporting. Hall will fill out-going Council Member Jared Williams's shoes to represent Southwest Fort Worth and Como. In the crowd during Hall's speech of thanks were Council Members Chris Nettles, Michael Crain and Elizabeth Beck and Crowley School Board Members Dr. Nedra Robinson and Chakina Watkins. Because none of the four candidates — Davis, Hall, Marshall Hobbs and Adrian Smith — received more than 50% of the votes on May 3, the top two vote-getters went to a runoff election. On May 3, Hall had 46.8% of the votes, followed by Davis with 28.49%, Hobbs with 21.57% and Smith with 3.14%. Now with early voting results, she leads by nearly 400 votes. There was a 4.47% voter turnout. Hall said she was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the voters. She was formerly a Crowley ISD Board Trustee and a member of the Fort Worth Zoning Commission. 'It's been my pleasure to to have served this community in the capacity of a trustee for the last 10 years,' Hall said, 'and just to see the voter turnout, and the fact that they are going to bestow or that I may have the opportunity to represent them as the District 6 councilwoman, is just very humbling.' Hall has promised safe neighborhoods, improved roads and infrastructure, enhanced city services and the fostering of economic development. 'I made promises to our neighbors, and I plan to honor those promises,' Hall said. 'Among those were to be responsive and to be accessible, and that's something that I want to be day one. The other part will be just getting my bearings meeting the other council men and women and me and my colleagues, and just getting my footing underneath me so that we can take the priorities that our District 6 neighbors have made and put them to work quickly, without delay.' Her opponent in the runoff, Davis, promised well-planned neighborhoods that are safe and affordable to live in.

The letters of the word will turn green if they're correct, yellow if you have the right letter in the wrong place, or gray if the letter isn't in the day's secret word at all. The hint was "teach, formally' and the answer contained three common letters, one somewhat common letter, and one uncommon letter. The answer to yesterday's Wordle was EDIFY. A primer on Wordle basics The idea of Wordle is to guess the day's secret word. When you first open the Wordle game, you'll see an empty grid of letters. It's up to you to make the first move: type in any five-letter word. Now, you can use the colors that are revealed to get clues about the word: Green means you correctly guessed a letter, and it's in the correct position. (For example, if you guess PARTY, and the word is actually PURSE, the P and R will be green.) Yellow means the letter is somewhere in the word, but not in the position you guessed it. (For example, if you guessed PARTY, but the word is actually ROAST, the R, A and T will all be yellow.) Gray means the letter is not in the solution word at all. The best starter words for Wordle What should you play for that first guess? The best starters tend to contain common letters, to increase the chances of getting yellow and green squares to guide your guessing. (And if you get all grays when guessing common letters, that's still excellent information to help you rule out possibilities.) There isn't a single 'best' starting word, but the New York Times's Wordle analysis bot has suggested starting with one of these: CRANE TRACE SLANT CRATE CARTE Meanwhile, an MIT analysis found that you'll eliminate the most possibilities in the first round by starting with one of these: SALET REAST TRACE CRATE SLATE Other good picks might be ARISE or ROUND. Words like ADIEU and AUDIO get more vowels in play, but you could argue that it's better to start with an emphasis on consonants, using a starter like RENTS or CLAMP. Choose your strategy, and see how it plays out. How to win at Wordle We have a few guides to Wordle strategy, which you might like to read over if you're a serious student of the game. This one covers how to use consonants to your advantage, while this one focuses on a strategy that uses the most common letters. In this advanced guide, we detail a three-pronged approach for fishing for hints while maximizing your chances of winning quickly. The biggest thing that separates Wordle winners from Wordle losers is that winners use their guesses to gather information about what letters are in the word. If you know that the word must end in -OUND, don't waste four guesses on MOUND, ROUND, SOUND, and HOUND; combine those consonants and guess MARSH. If the H lights up in yellow, you know the solution. One more note on strategy: the original Wordle used a list of about 2,300 solution words, but after the game was bought by the NYT, the game now has an editor who hand-picks the solutions. Sometimes they are slightly tricky words that wouldn't have made the original list, and sometimes they are topical. For example, FEAST was the solution one Thanksgiving. So keep in mind that there may be a theme. Wordle alternatives If you can't get enough of five-letter guessing games and their kin, the best Wordle alternatives, ranked by difficulty, include: Wheeldle, which lets you play one puzzle after another Dordle and Quordle, which ask you to play two (Dordle) or four (Quordle) puzzles at the same time, with the same guesses. There is also Octordle, with eight puzzles, and Sedecordle, with 16. Waffle, which shows you several five-letter words, scrambled in a grid; you play by swapping the letters around until you solve. Absurdle, which changes the solution after each guess, but needs to stay consistent with its previous feedback. You have to strategically back it into a corner until there is only one possible word left; then you guess it, and win. Squabble, in which you play Wordle against other people with a timer running. You take damage if you spend too much time between guesses; winner is the last one standing. Antiwordle, in which you are trying not to guess the day's solution. You're required to reuse any letters that you (oops) guessed correctly, so the longer it takes you, the better you are at the game.
