Jeremy Scott is reuniting with adidas for another collaboration just in time for Pride Month. While the apparel comes dipped in vibrant hues and all-over patterning, the footwear component of the release appears more subtle at first glance.
The leather-laden Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Samba lands in a 'Core Black' and initially resembles a typical Samba. However, the tongue is equipped with a silver zipper; when unzipped, an adidas x Jeremy Scott logo is revealed. The sneaker's sleek upper is dipped in full black leather, while the three stripes land in all white. Other branding exists solely on the insole and a dark gum outsole rounds out the subtly elevated sneaker.
Arriving alongside the sneaker is a lineup of athletic outerwear, including co-branded tees, tank tops, tracksuits, headwear and accessories.
Take a closer look at the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Samba 'Core Black' above and expect the sneakers to drop on June 1.

Jalen Williams' adidas Harden Vol. 9 PE To Release Amidst NBA Finals

adidas Harden Vol. 9 | Jalen Williams PE adidas PR As the Oklahoma City Thunder attempt to win a championship, rising star Jalen Williams will play a key role. The 24-year-old is Oklahoma City's second scoring option alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and has already earned All-NBA status in just his third NBA season. But Williams' success goes beyond his play on the court. A fashion icon off the court and an adidas athlete, he has been wearing his own Harden Vol. 9 PE since February. The shoe itself features Williams' signature logo on the heel and his jersey number on the tongue. A vibrant colorway inspired by the 90's TV show Pinky and the Brain — Williams' favorite childhood cartoon — it's been a shoe that hasn't been available to the public, until now. adidas Harden Vol. 9 | Jalen Williams PE adidas PR The adidas Harden Vol. 9 'JDUB' is officially releasing on Friday, June 6 for $160, exclusively on adidas' website, select adidas stores, and select retailers. This release will come right after Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Williams first debuted his unique shoe on-court while playing against his brother, Utah Jazz rookie Cody Williams, as both wore a pair while going head-to-head. It was a special moment that was encapsulated by the brothers matching up for the very first time. From there, other players including OKC teammate Lu Dort and even James Harden himself have worn Williams' PE in recent months, which speaks to how significant this milestone is. Williams has been a featured adidas athlete since being drafted into the league. From day one, he's been put in a position to build his personal brand and status which has led to this moment. 'Charisma, personality, fashion sense — that alone drew us to him. But then his measurements were insane,' Cam Mason, Director of Sports Marketing for adidas Basketball recalled when thinking back to initially signing Williams. 'His charisma gives him the confidence, so that's why he's in a place he's at. He has so much influence and so much persona. He can connect with anybody.' Building his brand has been carefully mapped out since Williams joined adidas. There's no skipping steps when it comes to ascending alongside a shoe brand, but the Thunder star has able to do great things off the court. 'It's like, how do you continue to build your brand? First step is getting you into campaigns. We got him in a lot of lifestyle campaigns,' Mason said of Williams' journey. 'What's next? Let's get you a PE. What are you into? What's your persona?' adidas Harden Vol. 9 | Jalen Williams PE adidas PR While this PE isn't a signature shoe, it is a signal of just how quickly Williams is rising among the NBA ranks. Having a PE for any shoe is a significant accomplishment as he works his way toward a potential signature shoe with adidas in the future. Only the best players in the world earn that honor, but with the trajectory the Thunder swingman is on, it's not out of the question. He earned his first NBA All-Star nod and was also on an All-NBA and All-Defensive Team for his accomplishments in the 2024-25 campaign. Furthermore, his status off the court when it comes to fashion and pop culture only enhances his case for being next in line for a signature sneaker in the future.

The '90s icon has had a long and illustrious career, making waves with her music and often, her provocative wardrobe. The 'Hips Don't Lie' songstress tends to perform in anything she can move in — from bedazzled bodysuits and fringy dresses to knee-high boots and sneakers. Whatever silhouette she chooses, she can be counted on to showcase an eye-catching shoe. Stepping on toes: Steve Madden takes Adidas to court over stripe trademark

Footwear mogul Steve Madden has filed a lawsuit against Adidas, challenging the German sportswear giant's trademark on stripes. The legal battle comes after what Madden describes as years of Adidas preventing his company from selling sneakers with two bands on them. Filed in federal court in Brooklyn, New York, the lawsuit coincides with Madden's launch of two new sneakers, Viento, which has two stripes, and Janos, with two bands resembling the letter K. The 67-year-old founder and design chief of the multibillion-dollar Steve Madden Ltd (SHOO.O) brand claims Adidas' lawyers have demanded that Viento sales be stopped because the design is too similar to theirs and could confuse consumers. READ MORE | Motherhood after loss: grieving widow wins legal battle for late husband's sperm 'The use of band designs on footwear is ubiquitous in the fashion industry,' Madden said in court documents. 'Simply put, Adidas does not own all stripes and should not be allowed to claim that it has a monopoly on all footwear that includes stripes, bars, bands or any shape having four sides – parallel, straight or not.' This isn't the first clash between the two footwear companies. In 2002, Adidas sued the American shoe company twice for having shoes with two parallel stripes and four parallel stripes, resulting in a confidential settlement the following year. Now, 22 years later, Madden says he's 'tired' of Adidas' complaints. Adidas hasn't publicly addressed the lawsuit yet, but Madden is standing his ground. He recently gained new fans following a candid interview on The Cutting Room Floor podcast that went viral. During the interview, Madden reflected on his two-and-a-half-year prison sentence, served from 2002 to 2005, after being convicted of stock manipulation, money laundering and securities fraud. During this time, he also had to resign as CEO of Steve Madden Ltd (SHOO.O). 'It was as awful as you can imagine,' he said about prison. 'You're away from your loved ones, the food is awful and you sleep on cots with very little mattresses.' READ MORE | Brain-dead pregnant woman is kept alive until her baby can be delivered due to US abortion law The experience changed his perspective and led to unexpected connections – several friends he made in prison now work for his company. However, he shared that it's very easy to fall into old habits when becoming a free man again. 'In your mind, your fantasy [is], 'I'm gonna get out, I'm gonna read 100 books, I'm really gonna appreciate what I have',' he said. 'Human beings, we have a thing where we take s**t for granted. It goes away when you go to prison and it lasts for about a week. Then you're like, 'Where's my f*****g car?' You're back on your bulls**t.' During the Covid pandemic, Madden published his memoir, The Cobbler: How I Disrupted an Industry, Fell From Grace & Came Back Stronger Than Ever, which detailed his experiences of building his company, going to prison and recovering from drug addiction. 'People think my life is interesting because of prison, because of my success. I started a company with one shoe and now it's a multibillion-dollar company,' he reflected. 'The ups and downs, the disappointments, people being left behind, not going along for the entrepreneurial ride. It was hard work. It wasn't romantic. It was showing up. All that corny s**t. Keep going. Do the next thing.'
