Former Lakers' champion guard Danny Green spoke out recently about the James and Doncic duo. He does not envision a championship coming to Los Angeles with the two superstars leading the way.
"I think they're explosive offensively. I think they lack a lot defensively," he said. "I don't know how many years he (James) has left longer, and it's think it's just really hard to win a championship when your best player is 40 years old... Next year, LeBron is going to be 41....He can still average 30, 20-something, but I just don't see them winning a championship with that formula right now."
No matter what the 2025-26 NBA season has in store for the Lakers, James will take hold of another big-time record assuming he does return for another year.

So far this offseason, it looks as if Doncic is already changing those bad habits. He looked noticeably slimmer at a recent Real Madrid game, and at least one report has indicated that he has at least changed his mindset as far as his fitness and conditioning. He has a player option for the 2026-27 season that he can decline in order to become a free agent next summer. But he did indicate in a recent interview that he would like to remain with the Purple and Gold long term.

Olympics get Honda as auto sponsor for 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES — The organizing committee for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles signed Honda as a 'founding partner' Monday, giving the upcoming Summer Games their sixth new sponsor this year and their first tier-one sponsor since 2021.
