How Stephen Curry, veteran game changer, hopes to change golf

Washington Post07-05-2025

Stephen Curry has made a career out of finding gaps in a defense and using what little space is available to get off thrill-inducing shots, including in his most recent Game 7 triumph. To find a niche in a sport that has become his passion away from his profession, Curry has used a similar approach — by recognizing a void in golf and pulling up.

Money in the Bank 2025 date: WWE Money in the Bank match card and predictions

Want to see two WWE wrestlers become future champions in 10 easy steps? Even less if they're tall. It's Money in the Bank weekend and the men and women of WWE are ready to put on a show full of bumps, bruises and falling off ladders. Advertisement This year's show has four matches featured, including a huge tag team all-star match, a Women's Intercontinental championship match and the two Money in the Bank clashes. It should be fun. Here's everything you need to know about the show. When is Money in the Bank? WWE's Money in the bank will be held Saturday, June 10. What time does Money in the Bank start? Money in the Bank starts at 7 p.m. How to watch Money in the Bank In the United States, WWE Money in the Bank will air live on Peacock. It will also be available on traditional pay per view for $44.99. Where is Money in the Bank? WWE's Money in the Bank will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Does Money in the Bank have a kickoff show? A kickoff show will begin at 6 p.m. Eastern, one hour before the show. It will likely begin after WWE Worlds Collide. It will air on WWE's Youtube page and on Peacock. How long is Money in the Bank? While it's impossible to say, it looks like the card will be about three hours. It's starting at 7, and TKO won't have Money in the Bank air the same time as UFC 316. Will Steve Austin be at UFC 316? If he's not, he should be. WWE Money in the Bank match card Men's Money in the Bank match: Solo Sikoa vs. LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins vs. Penta vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano Women's Money in the Bank match: Giulia vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Naomi vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Rhea Ripley Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch, Women's Intercontinental championship match Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul Money in the Bank predictions There are four matches on the card, which is one less than normal, but that could be thanks to the length of the ladder matches. Here's how we see it playing out. Men's Money in the Bank match Everyone has Seth Rollins as the favorite, but I think he has too many enemies to win this. Sure he has friends, but so many are out to get him. He's a longshot, but I'm sticking with my boy Solo Sikoa to grab the briefcase. He needs it. He's done a lot to make other people look good, he's built other guys, he's been everything WWE could want. Put the belt on him and let him go toe to toe with Jacob Fatu. I'm predicting Solo Sikoa wins. Women's Money in the Bank match Once again, I'm going with the wrestler who deserves it the most. All are deserving, all are capable of big things, but Naomi is who I'm going with. She helped Jade Cargill look great at WrestleMania, and while she held up her end of the bargain, Naomi was the veteran leading that match. She's been a pretty entertaining bad girl, and I'd like to see her with some gold. Naomi wins. Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch Becky Lynch has helped make Lyra Valkyria a star. And Valkyria is doing her best to hang right there with one of the best women in the world. Guess what? She doesn't at all look out of place. Not in the ring, not even on the microphone where Lynch is one of the best. I thought Valkyria was the star last month and she was great leading up to this rematch. I think she does it again. Valkyria wins. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul This match has two of my favorites (Jey Uso, Logan Paul) and two of the biggest stars in the world. But I have little interest in it. It will be fun, and I'm looking forward to what this match leads to, so that will be cool, but I have little interest in who wins. I'm banking on the bad guys winning, and I think Uso and Paul will make the match fun. Cena's matches haven't been good during this championship run. I hope he somehow wins without kicking someone low. Prediction: Logan Paul and John Cena win. Game 2: Thunder will try to tie up the NBA Finals, while Pacers will seek complete control of series

Associated Press OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will almost certainly reach a milestone on Sunday night. The reigning NBA MVP from the Thunder enters Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers just two points away from 3,000 for the season, including the regular season and playoffs. That's a total that has been reached 24 other times in league history — 10 by Michael Jordan, five by Wilt Chamberlain and once by nine other players. Gilgeous-Alexander would be the 12th to reach the milestone. But there's a bigger milestone that Gilgeous-Alexander would like to get Sunday as well: His first finals win. That'll be his only priority in Game 2. 'I said this so many times, I don't play for the individual stuff,' Gilgeous-Alexander said. 'I don't play for anything else besides winning. I never have in my whole life.' The Thunder, the NBA's top overall seed entering the playoffs after going 68-14 in the regular season, lost Game 1 to the Pacers on Thursday night 111-110 — and with it, lost the home-court advantage in this series as well. If the Pacers win Game 2, they'll likely become overwhelming favorites. Only two teams — the 1993 Chicago Bulls and 1995 Houston Rockets — won the first two games of a finals on the road, and both went on to win the NBA title in those seasons. And teams that open the finals with a 2-0 lead go on to win the series 86.5% of the time (32 times in 37 chances). 'The journey to get here all year has not been about getting to the finals,' Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton said. 'It's a day at a time, especially after the start of the year. And it's hard — we have social media and friends and family that tell us all the numbers of if you can win the two games at home, whatever it will look like, or on the road or whatever the case.' The series will shift to Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday. ___ AP NBA: recommended

Shaquille O'Neal once found David Beckham's wallet, and his reaction was 'surprising'

David Beckham once had an unexpected message after losing his wallet. By a lucky chance the iconic footballer's wallet was picked up by none other than basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal. But the basketball player wasn't going to let the opportunity to joke around with Beckham pass by, the Mirror reports. The pair have been for a number of years since they met when Beckham was with LA Galaxy in Los Angeles, California. Shaq shared that it had crossed his mind to keep the cash in the wallet, but once he realised who it belonged to he changed his mind. "I was walking one day in Beverly Hills and I found a wallet," the 53-year-old recalled during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. "Usually when I find wallets, I just take all the money out and I just throw them," he joked. "But this was a nice wallet." Shaw then noticed Beckham's ID inside the wallet, and decided to play a prank on his friend. "First I played a joke," the American said. "I was like, 'I have your wallet, it's going to cost you a million dollars to get it back'. But he knew it was me. [Beckham said] 'Shaq, stop playing'. I was like 'Dave, I found your wallet'. The funny thing is he [Beckham] said, 'There was some money in this wallet, you know what happened?' And I was like, 'Nope.'" Shaq retired from elite basketball in 2012 and is recognised as one of the greater players of the sport. Towering at 7ft 1in, he helped the Lakers to secure four NBA titles including three with the Lakers during the Kobe Bryant era, and one with the Miami Heat. Beckham retired from professional football in 2013, and has recently been finally confirmed as receiving a knighthood in the king's birthday honours list.
