Victorian Metro receives $489 million payday from taxpayers
Sky News host Peta Credlin discusses how privatised Metro Trains in Victoria had a $489 million payday to shield the company from fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.
'Metro Trains, this is the train network that was privatised in Victoria, it has just had a payday of $500 million from taxpayers,' Ms Credlin said.
'Because in their contracts if passenger revenue drops, the poor old taxpayer is on the hook to pay them out.'
