On May 22, however, that will change with the announcement of his all-time favorite goal in a special event held by the
Inter Miami CF Foundation
. That revelation is a revealing one for Messi, giving fans a little bit of insight into the personal meaning of perhaps his most prized on-field accomplishment.
Refik Anadol to create AI-generated artwork for charity auction
After Messi has made the selection, one goal will be commissioned as a groundbreaking new work of art by Refik Anadol, a trailblazer in the field of AI and data-driven art. Anadol's practice, which is often called 'data paintings,' processes massive datasets to create dazzling visual experiences. For this project, he will use stats about the chosen goal, including match statistics, player distance covered, and fan emotion, to generate a dynamic and abstract representation of the goal. The piece will be revealed at New York auction house Christie's on June 11, with Messi autographing the work himself to give it a personal touch.
