DeKalb police looking for person who fired shots at house
Police are looking for the person who opened fire on a house in a DeKalb County neighborhood.
No one was hurt at the home on Katelyn Park in Lithonia, but the gunfire put neighbors on edge.
Patrice Daniels had a peaceful walk with her dog on Sunday morning after being awakened by gunfire the previous night.
'I heard a bam, bam, bam, bam, bam. And then I said, 'That was gunshots!'' she told Channel 2's Bryan Mims. 'It woke me up. It was very, very loud. I thought it was on my street.'

Three other neighbors told Mims they heard 15 to 20 shots.
A man with two children said the shooting has him worried about his family's safety.
Neighbors said the residents of the house recently moved in and often get rowdy.
Daniels said she's had to pick up beer cans tossed on the street.
DeKalb County police have not yet identified any suspects.

5 hospitalized after car submerges into pond, OSHP says
Several people were hospitalized after a vehicle went into a retention pond Thursday night. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Officers, state troopers, and medics responded at around 6:25 p.m. to the area of U.S. 40 and Park West Drive on reports of a vehicle into a pond, according to West Jefferson Police Brandon Smith. The driver reportedly got out of the vehicle, and a trooper rescued a child before the car sank. Lt. Thompson told WBNS that another person was rescued before the car was fully submerged. It is currently unknown when the other two people got out of the vehicle, according to OSHP. 'Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, providing critical assistance with rescue operations and the transportation of victims to area hospitals,' said Chief Smith. Medics transported three people to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus with 'non-life-threatening injuries,' WBNS said. Who were Olivia, Evelyn and Paityn Decker? Community mourns amid manhunt
A Washington state community is grieving the deaths of three young sisters who police believe were killed by their father, whose whereabouts are unknown. Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5, were reported missing by their mother on May 30 after failing to return from a planned visitation with their father, 32-year-old Travis Decker. Authorities found their bodies on June 2 near their father's unoccupied vehicle near the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County. Local, state and federal officials continue to search for Travis, who is wanted on charges of kidnapping, first-degree murder and custodial interference. Authorities released new photos and videos of the suspect and are asking for the public's help as the manhunt continues. Since the tragedy, the community of the Wenatchee Valley has rallied behind the girl's mother, Whitney Decker. A GoFundMe page has raised nearly $1 million in financial support for Whitney as of Thursday, June 5. "We ask for grace at this time. Whitney is grieving the unimaginable," said family friend Amy Edwards, who organized the GoFundMe page, at a news conference June 5. "When one mother cries, we all cry and hold her in our heart. Thank you for holding Whitney in your hearts now." Olivia Decker, 5; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Paityn Decker, 9 were three sisters in the Wenatchee Valley. In addition to playing sports and attending school in the city of Wenatchee, the three girls were involved in the local art scene through performance and dance. They performed at the Music Theatre of Wenatchee through a children's program known as "Short Shakespeareans" and practiced dance at the city's Fabulous Feet Dance Studio. Edwards, the director of the "Short Shakespeareans" program and whose daughter was on the dance team with Evelyn, said the community will forever ache with the love for the girls. "This valley helped nurture the creativity, confidence and joy that Paityn and Evelyn and Olivia shined so brightly," Edwards told reporters. "Their laughter, curiosity and spirit left a mark on all of us. They were the kind of children that everyone rooted for, looked for, looked forward to seeing and held close in their hearts. They are cherished, not just by the family, but by our entire community who watched them grow, perform, learn and love." Fellow organizer Mark Belton thanked the generosity shown for the family adding that "compassion has been a source of light in this dark hour." The Music Theatre of Wenatchee held a candlelight vigil on June 3 at Wenatchee's Memorial Park. Dozens of children attending the vigil knew the girls either through the dance program, sports or other programs, according to Seattle station KING-TV. "She was really nice. She was a really good dancer. I really think she was a really good friend," 8-year-old Lilly Jones, who danced with Evelyn, told the outlet. "I really miss her and I just think it was too early." Missy Jones, Lilly's mother, told the outlet she became friends with Whitney after meeting in college and reconnected last fall because of their daughters. "Those girls were her whole world. She did everything for them," Jones said. "Obviously it's hard. I've been really proud of the girls being really supportive of each other and giving each other hugs and talking about their memories of their friends." Drugs, cheeseburgers: Raid inside Fulton County Jail reveals contraband operation, officials say
Deputies and detention officers conducted a raid Thursday inside the main jail in northwest Atlanta and uncovered a contraband operation at the jail annex in Union City. Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Mark Winne got exclusive access to the raid. The shakedown was a rapid response to something discovered outside the jail that alarmed the Fulton County Sheriff's Office – a large hole cut in the fence. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] 'Just doing regular security rounds, I got on the shift and came back here and discovered this,' said a law enforcement official. In all, three holes were found in three levels of fencing surrounding the complex. Chief Jailer Jarrett Gorlin says they found makeshift fishing line in a cell already closed because someone had burned a hole in the window. He said they were using it to reel in the contraband from outside. Gorlin says inmates commonly use wires in lighting fixtures and pieces of metal ripped from the jail interior to melt holes in cell windows. 'More than likely from last night's load, these are cigarettes that they pack in socks, copious amounts of what appears to be marijuana, cell phone, more homemade shanks, and what they use to burn the windows out,' he said. The sheriff's office says the main jail on Rice Street was not the only facility affected. On Wednesday morning, a deputy assisted by Union City police arrested three people laying down by a hole in the fence at the jail's south annex with bolt cutters nearby. They had a bag containing cigarettes, marijuana, cell phones, candy, vapes, phone chargers, cheeseburgers and more.
