Storm place injured G Nika Muhl on suspended list
April 22 - Seattle Storm guard Nika Muhl will miss the 2025 season after being placed on the suspended list Tuesday.
Muhl, 24, sustained an ACL tear in October for Turkish club Besiktas. WNBA players who are hurt playing for other leagues are eligible for the list if they will be sidelined for more than six weeks.
Muhl played just 57 minutes over 16 games last season as a rookie and scored two points on 1-of-14 shooting. She was a second-round pick (14th overall) in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
The Croatian-born Muhl was a popular college player at UConn and was twice named Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
She averaged 5.8 points and 5.2 assists and racked up 187 total steals in 131 games (109 starts). Muhl averaged 7.9 assists as a junior and 6.5 as a senior.

Juventus respond as Andrea Berta puts Kenan Yildiz on summer transfer shortlist
Arsenal are interested in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, but they do not want to sell the 20-year-old winger and are set to open talks with him over a new contract Juventus are reportedly planning to offer Kenan Yildiz a new contract in a bid to ward off interest from clubs like Arsenal. Yildiz enjoyed an impressive campaign for Juventus this season, producing 16 goal contributions in 48 appearances across all competitions. The 20-year-old is attracting interest from a number of sides across Europe and Arsenal are among them, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his forward line this summer. Italian outlet Tuttosport are reporting that Arsenal are the club who are 'most interested' in Yildiz. The Gunners are said to have a longstanding interest in Yildiz and are ready to spend between €50million (£42m) and €60m (£50.5m) on a new winger. It is claimed that Yildiz and Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams are Arsenal's top targets. However, Juventus believe Yildiz is worth closer to €100m (£84m) and they are ready to open talks with the Turkey international over a new deal which could see him double his salary. Juventus endured a disappointing campaign as they finished fourth in Serie A, but they finished the season strongly after Igor Tudor replaced Thiago Motta as manager in March. Juventus have lost just one game under Tudor and Yildiz has spoken highly of the Croatian. "He gave us energy, it was important for us," Yildiz told DAZN last month about Tudor's impact. "Since he arrived, we've been happy, we've been working hard. I'm happy with this season, but I want to improve in everything. "I'm always looking ahead. The No.10 shirt doesn't add any pressure. I play as usual and I'm happy to be wearing it." Arsenal, meanwhile, have yet to make any new signings but Arteta has told fans that this summer's transfer window will be a "big one" for the club. "It's going to be a big one and we are very excited about it," he said. "When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step. "Every summer is big because it is an opportunity – and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now, that is necessary. "But it's a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team." Burning Rangers transfer updates Matija Frigan claim catches fire and the truth about Dor Turgeman is made clear
The Croatian striker scored 14 goals in 41 matches for Belgian side Westerlo last season Westerlo frontman Matija Frigan is being tracked by Rangers and we can reveal a move for Dor Turgeman remains on. Russell Martin is only in the door at Ibrox but knows his squad will need a bit of revamp in order to compete on all fronts next season. Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have pledged a £20million investment into helping Martin and new sporting director Kevin Thelwell in football department, and links with several players around Europe are already starting to swirl. Record Sport revealed Rangers are in the hunt for £4 million-rated Israeli striker Turgeman. Despite reports in his homeland claiming an Ibrox bid had been rejected, talks are still ongoing with Maccabi Tel Aviv as Gers try to land the 21-year-old hit-man. Record Sport also broke the news over the weekend that talks with Leicester City have begun over a potential deal for England international Conor Coady. The former Liverpool and Everton defender will command a high salary but could be willing to accept a pay cut following the Foxes relegation from the Premier League. And another name who has been floated on the rumour mill is Croatian striker Frigan, who according to 24sata, is under Rangers' watchful eye. The Croat - who arrived in Belgium from Rijeka for around £4.6million two years ago - netted 14 goals in 41 matches last season. The 22-year-old has represented his country at U21 level and was called up for the Croatian senior team in August 2023. Gers fans will be dreaming of a permanent deal for wide man Vaclav Cerny following his successful loan spell last season. However, the Czech Republic international is also said to be wanted by Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, who are reportedly willing to pay £9million for the Wolfsburg player. A raft of players are also expected to leave Rangers this summer in order to balance the books. Defender Robin Propper has been heavily linked with a return to FC Twente less than 12 months on from his £2.5million switch to Ibrox. New boss Martin has hinted that he will be giving every member of the squad a chance to prove themselves under the new regime but the futures of the likes of Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies and Kieran Dowell are very much up in the air. Number nine Cyriel Dessers is said to be target for AEK Athens and Olympiacos in Greece but recently declared his happiness with the Light Blues. Speaking to SportsBoom, he said: "I still have two years left on my contract with Rangers. It's a fantastic club, and I'm happy there. "When you score that number of goals, it's normal for other teams to show interest. I've seen the links with Olympiacos, but I don't know anything specific about that. "These kinds of rumours are normal, but for now, I'm staying focused and looking forward to enjoying my holiday in a few weeks."

Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea handed boost as Victor Osimhen rejects £63m offer
Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have been given renewed hope of signing Victor Osimhen after he rejected a £63m summer move. Osimhen has been linked with a number of top Premier League clubs after his successful loan spell at Galatasaray. Effectively banished from Napoli last summer by Antonio Conte, Osimhen made the switch to Galatasaray and helped the Turkish club win the league title with 37 goals in all competitions. Osimhen only joined Galatasaray after a deadline-day move to Stamford Bridge fell through, much to the frustration of the Chelsea delegation that had travelled out to Naples to agree a deal. Chelsea have again been linked with Osimhen this summer despite already spending £30m to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. The Blues are keen to bolster Enzo Maresca's attacking options with at least one more forward and have internally discussed a fresh move for Osimhen. More Trending The 26-year-old has also emerged as a potential target for Manchester United and Arsenal but it appeared as though the Premier League sides would all miss out as he edged closer to a move to Saudi Arabia. Napoli agreed a £63m deal with Al Hilal but Osimhen has now rejected the Saudi giant's proposal and the move has fallen through, according to Fabrizio Romano. That will be welcome news to potential suitors for Osimhen, who scored more than a goal every two games for Napoli before being exiled by Conte.
