WWE Smackdown: John Cena gets called ‘balding b****' as Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk set their eyes on his title
WWE Smackdown: It is all-out 'war' on the 17-time world champion John Cena. The wrestler, who is currently on his farewell tour in the WWE and will be retiring from in-ring performances in December, was challenged by every big name in the roster for his undisputed WWE title. Verbal battles, sneak attacks, and the King of the Ring tournament – this episode of Smackdown had it all. John Cena walked in front of a sold-out Kentucky crowd as half the crowd supported him, while the other half was against him. Cena, who turned 'heel' (negative character) after the last Elimination Chamber, started explaining his plan that has been in motion for over a year. He explained how he joined the Royal Rumble, and even though he didn't win, he used his seniority in the company to get himself a spot in the Chamber. He was listing out the flurry of opponents he had beaten on his way when Rhodes walked out to make a statement of his own. ALSO READ: John Cena on setting up his own gym, training wrestlers who later challenged him in WWE ring: 'I was just sick of… Rhodes warned Cena, 'I am not a part of your plan; you're a part of mine,' and declared that he was coming for Cena's championship. Meanwhile Orton walked in to the ring to address his problems with Cena. Cena beat Orton at Backlash, and Orton pointed out the fact that if he hadn't been interrupted, he would have beaten Cena for the title. Although this already superstar-heavy segment did not need anyone else, LA Knight made an appearance and told all three men (Orton, Cena and Rhodes) that he is willing to go through all of them to become the undisputed WWE champion. He said, 'I will take down a viper (Orton), a nightmare (Rhodes), and a 'genius' balding b**** (John Cena) to become the champion.' At this point Cena had heard enough from his challengers and he decided to walk out and just as he was about to disappear to the backstage, Ron 'Truth' Killings (R-Truth's alter ego) attacked him from the behind. Killings felt betrayed after Cena, his long-time hero, attacked him after Backlash, an event where he helped him secure the win over Orton. Later that night, Punk also warned Cena that he was coming for his title, and Ron Killings again attacked him and put him in Cena's own submission hold STF. As Night of Champions closes, the number of people gunning for the title is increasing, and the number of people who have a problem with Cena is rising even faster. Punk will have to beat Cena at the Night of Champions to win the WWE title, and it will be an uphill task, as the new Cena does not care about rules or what the audience thinks of him and will do whatever it takes to hold on to the title.

King of the Ring heats up as Randy Orton books semifinal spot
Image via WWE WWE veteran Randy Orton made a thunderous return to Friday Night SmackDown this week, marking his first appearance since his loss to John Cena at Backlash. And in classic Orton fashion, he made an immediate impact - both in the ring and in the King of the Ring tournament. The Viper strikes again The Viper was slotted into a high-stakes Fatal 4-Way match alongside LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Aleister Black. With a semifinal spot on the line and a potential title shot at SummerSlam hanging in the balance, Orton entered with fierce intent. His path, however, wasn't entirely smooth. Randy Orton advances in King of the Ring Tournament: SmackDown highlights, June 13, 2025 During the chaotic bout, interference from WWE Raw stars Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker tipped the scales. Reed shoved LA Knight off the top rope, allowing Breakker to deliver a brutal spear. Seizing the opportunity, Orton caught Carmelo Hayes mid-air with a vintage RKO before pinning Knight for the win. With this victory, Randy Orton moves on to face Sami Zayn in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. The winner of the prestigious bracket will receive a world title opportunity at SummerSlam, setting up a possible rematch between Orton and his longtime rival, John Cena - provided Cena retains against CM Punk at Night of Champions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? Before the match, he had a brief but tense moment with Cena during a segment also involving Cody Rhodes and LA Knight. While Cena eventually walked away, the tension between the two legends was hard to miss - and perhaps a sign of things to come. FULL SEGMENT: Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and LA Knight call out John Cena: SmackDown, June 13, 2025 Fans have been vocal online, with many divided over LA Knight's early exit. Comments under WWE's announcement of Orton's victory ranged from frustration over Knight's loss to support for Orton's comeback story. One fan posted, 'Randy will go all the way! He will win this year!' while another noted, 'Orton vs Sami will be gold.' Orton, a multiple-time world champion, has shown no signs of slowing down despite the recent setback at Backlash. If he manages to win the King of the Ring, it could set up one of WWE's most anticipated summer clashes. With storylines heating up and the King of the Ring tournament nearing its climax, all eyes are now on SmackDown's next chapter - and whether Orton's resurgence leads him back to the very top. Earlier tonight, on the June 13 episode of SmackDown, the 53-year-old veteran assaulted the Undisputed Champion on two occasions. His actions were met with cheers, a clear indication that he is a hit with the WWE Universe. R-Truth has earned a lot from his career in wrestling, which started in the late 90s. Here is a look at his net worth and sources of income What is R-Truth's net worth? R-Truth is a respected name in the pro-wrestling business, who has rubbed shoulders with the likes of The Rock and The Miz. According to a Times of India report, he has a net worth of $3 million. A large chunk of this comes from his work for the WWE. He used to earn $550,000/year under his old contract. However, he recently signed a new deal with the promotion. Its terms are said to be 'different' from the earlier one. R-Truth also earns money from royalties, merchandise sales and his appearance in WWE 2k25. He also has a clothing line that adds to his wealth. R-Truth is currently feuding with John Cena Earlier this month, Truth announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that his contract with the WWE would not be renewed. This sparked outrage on social media as fans slammed the company and the higher ups for letting him go. Amid this, Truth returned to WWE programming at Money in the Bank and nailed John Cena with a spear and the title belt. This gave Cody Rhodes the chance to hit Cena with Cross Rhodes and get the win. His actions were his way of punishing Cena for humiliating him at Saturday Night's Main Event. Truth will now take on 'The Franchise Player' on the Blue Brand next week.
