Wales face a crucial encounter with Italy as they bid to halt their losing run in the second round of the Six Nations.
Warren Gatland's woe continued with a predictable opening night defeat to France in Paris, with former fly half Dan Biggar subsequently declaring this fixture as the most important in two decades after a run of 13 straight losses.
Their last win in this competition came two years ago in Rome but Italy are an improved side since then, as they showed in threatening a comeback against Scotland in their first fixture.
While they ultimately faded to fall short, Gonzalo Quesada will see this as an opportunity to get their campaign up and running ahead of sterner tests to come.

Italy vs Wales is due to kick off at 2.15pm GMT on Saturday 8 February at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live on ITV1, with coverage on the channel from 1.30pm GMT. A live stream will be available via ITVX.
Italy make minimal changes to the side beaten in Scotland. Niccolo Cannone replaces Dino Lamb in a like-for-like alteration in the second row, while Simone Gesi's injury brings about a recall for versatile back Jacopo Trulla on the bench.
Wales are able to recall Taulupe Faletau after injury, with the number eight brought back into the starting side as Aaron Wainwright drops to the bench after suffering a nasty gash to the face in France. Owen Watkin suffered a more serious problem in that game, so Eddie James steps in to the midfield alongside Nick Tompkins.

Gennaro Gattuso named Italy head coach after Spalletti exit
Italy have confirmed the appointment of the former AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso as head coach of the national team. The move follows the departure of Luciano Spalletti, who announced his own sacking in a press conference after Italy's 3-0 defeat by Norway last Friday. Gattuso joins the Italy set-up after a mutual agreement to leave Hadjuk Split, the Croatian club he had managed for a year, who finished third in the league and two points off the title. The 2006 World Cup winner has previous experience managing at the top level in club football, having been in charge at Milan, Marseille, Valencia and Napoli, leading the team from Naples to the Coppa Italia in 2020. The 73-times capped Italian became accustomed to winning trophies during his playing career. Along with the international success, Gattuso twice lifted the Scudetto with Milan. The tough-tackling midfielder also won two Champions Leagues with the club, starting in the side that beat Liverpool 2-1 in the 2007 final. 'Gattuso is a symbol of Italian football — the blue jersey is like a second skin for him,' Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian football federation (FIGC), said in a statement. 'His motivations, his professionalism and his experience will be fundamental to best face the upcoming commitments of the national team.' Italy sit third in their 2026 World Cup qualifying group, with a 2-0 win against Moldova in Spalletti's final game having provided their only points of the campaign. Despite their success at Euro 2020, Italy have failed to qualify for the past two World Cups and have not reached the knockout stage of the tournament since their 2006 triumph. Gattuso will be tasked with guiding Italy's ageing squad to the world stage for the first time since 2014. Tel joins Spurs for £30m from Bayern Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of the French forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich in a deal worth £30million. Tel joined Spurs on loan in January, playing 13 games in the Premier League and scoring twice, and will sign a contract that runs until 2031 when his loan officially ends on June 30. Tel was an unused substitute in Spurs' Europa League final victory over Manchester United that ended the north London club's 17-year wait for a trophy. Retiring Mentor upbeat about future of netball
Netball legend Geva Mentor says she is positive about the future of the sport after playing the final game of her career on 40-year-old retired after Leeds Rhinos' last game of the Netball Super League season - an 80-61 defeat by Nottingham Forest."I'm excited to see where netball goes over the next few years," the former England international told BBC Sport."We are looking at the improvement of the game and making it a real product that everyone can get behind." Mentor, who is now based in France, has been a trailblazer of the sport - playing more than 310 games at club level and twice being named the World's Best spent 16 seasons playing in New Zealand and Australia and played 175 times for her country, competing at six World Cups and six Commonwealth Games, winning gold in 2018 thanks to the famous win over joined the Rhinos for the 2024 season and, although she was unable to end on a winning note, received a warm reception at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham - which included being given a guard of honour after the game."We probably haven't had the results or performances we wanted this season," she added. "But there is a brilliant culture here and it's pushing and building."I wish them all the best for the future and I will be in the crowd cheering them on."This is all a bit surreal but it is so nice to be playing in a big arena and good to be up against Forest, who have had a stellar first season and have grown into it."
