Love Island confirms new pairings as four couples swap in chaotic twist
Love Island's girls were given a chance to choose their partners for the first time tonight, and the results were chaotic after two stars snuck out to the Hideaway
Love Island 's first recoupling ceremony of season 12 aired tonight (June 12), and things got a little spicy around the firepit after not one but four women ended up swapping partners.
The girls in the villa were given the opportunity to choose what men they wanted to be with this time around, after the power was left in the boys' hands during the last recoupling incident when Toni came in as a bombshell and Shakira had to get her graft on. Surprisingly, a lot has changed in the past two days, and the women are feeling attracted to very different men than they were when they arrived on the scene in Mallorca.
After sneaky link-ups in the Hideaway and cheeky games around the firepit, here is who this year's Islanders have recoupled with:
Toni and Conor
Toni gave Ben 'the ick' after she jokingly said that he was making this recoupling ceremony all about him, which led to him storming off from the group conversation they were in. He wasted little time in making his feelings known, telling other people in the villa that ever since that remark, he felt annoyed by everything Toni did.
She later confronted him, and he claimed there was "nothing there" romantically between them, adding that she was "p*****g him off". After this outburst the American bombshell wasn't finding him too hot either, and decided to couple up with Conor instead.
Alima and Remell
Alima hinted at wanting to recouple with Remell shortly after he came into the villa as a bombshell, telling the smooth-talker from Essex that she was 'just friends' with her original partner Blu and even giving him a kiss during a game where she was asked to express who she was most interested in. She later admitted that she felt that "initial attraction" towards him, and he responded similarly, saying he was "feeling a vibe".
However, things appeared to go downhill when he was asked to share a juicy secret with the group, and revealed that he had once slept with five women in one night. At the time Alima seemed shocked, and in a confessional said: "This is the first time that he's walking into a villa like with new people. You then go and say that you've slept with five people in a night. I'm like why would you say that?" Despite this bump in the road, it seems she's decided to give him a second chance.
Helena and Harry
Harry has had a wild ride in the villa, going from being paired up with Sophie Lee to being snatched up by Shakira, to now recoupling with Helena. Although Harry tried to reassure Shakira that he only had eyes for her 'til the cows came home, his actions spoke louder than words, and he ended up getting some grief from his partner for stroking Helena's leg while they sat by the firepit last night (June 11). He promised Shakira he meant nothing by it, but he also gave Helena a lap dance during the group's game of dare or dare last night and asked if she would be keen to go to the Hideaway later.
Once he saw Shakira was not all in on him either, he snuck off for some shenanigans with Helena in the middle of the night. Harry did his best to try and schmooze Shakira back in the cold light of day, apologising for not telling her about his overnight Hideaway plans, but the damage was done. Now he is free to fall asleep in the arms of Helena every night - if his wandering eye doesn't come out again.
Shakira and Ben
Perhaps the most controversial coupling in the villa tonight, Shakira and Ben were originally paired up on the very first day of Love Island but got split up by Toni who came in as a bombshell right away. Ben seemed overly pleased about this, and went on to tell the Vegas waitress that he was glad she picked him because Shakira "needed to be humbled".
Shakira and Ben even appeared to be rowing before the bombshell twist, as Maya noticed that they were "bickering" already when she first came to check up on the couples. Ben also described their bond as a "love hate relationship" on day one, leaving viewers wondering if there were any unaired scenes that could explain why there was so much animosity between them. Despite all of the drama, it seems the old adage of 'treat them mean keep them keen' somehow worked on Shakira, as she ended up going back to Ben tonight.
Meanwhile, the only couples who have been going strong since episode one and decided to stay together were Meg and Dejon, and Megan and Tommy. Dejon has frequently reassured Meg that he is serious about her, particularly after Shakira tried to make moves on him when she was single, and she seems more than ready to take him into the next chapter of her Love Island journey.

The This Morning presenter appeared on Loose Women on Friday (13 June) where she shared that Aiden, her 20-year-old son, has successfully auditioned for the popular ITV2 dating show in the past. She said: 'I advised him to do it later on. You've got to remember he was only 19 at that time. I just think it's too young.' Hammond then joked that she turned into 'mum of the house' and put her foot down to stop him from participating, before stating that she is happy for him to enter but only when 'he has a bit more experience'.

Love Island's Toni calls co-star over unexpected exit claim amid brutal dumping
Blu was left single and vulnerable to being dumped from Love Island after the latest recoupling ceremony, and in an attempt to defend his position in the villa he made a claim that shocked Toni Tensions have flared in the Love Island villa in a preview clip fans watched ahead of tonight's (June 13) episode of the reality show, where Toni can be seen clapping back at Blu for dragging her name into the high-stakes row between him and Shea. Following a brutal recoupling that left both Blu and Shea single, the boys were forced to go head-to-head and decide which one of them would leave the island immediately. Both Islanders scrambled to justify why they should be the one to stay, and Blu's attempt to name drop Toni as a potential romantic connection did not go down well. In an attempt to defend his place in the villa, Blu told Shea: "Obviously I've been here a bit longer and I feel more of a connection with the people in here." Shea wasn't impressed, firing back: "You've been here longer, and that means you've had more of a chance than me to get to know these people. That says a lot in itself." When Shea asked who Blu was supposedly still exploring connections with, Blu confidently replied: "Toni." This comment raised eyebrows, especially from Toni herself, who wasted no time in calling Blu out in front of the whole group. The unimpressed American bombshell shot back: "I think my name got pulled up out of someone's a**." Viewers were quick to weigh in on the drama on social media, with one joking: "Toni gagged Blu. I love that." Another chimed in: "The way Toni silenced Someone else exclaimed: "BLU GET OUT OF MY VILLA!!!!!!!!!" This confrontation comes after a turbulent week for Blu, who has been shooting his shot with Shakira and failing. Although he stepped forward for her at the firepit recently, she decided to couple up with Harry instead. Blu later snuck in a kiss with Shakira in the Hideaway, only for her to feel guilty and end things, leaving him back at square one. His former partner Alima also made it clear there was no romantic chemistry between them, and both agreed they were in more of a friendship couple. This left Blu scrambling for a connection when it came to the recoupling ceremony. Meanwhile Shea, who only arrived in the villa two days ago, has made it clear that he is looking for something real. The single dad told producers that he is ready to find a serious relationship with someone who understands the importance of family ahead of touching down in Mallorca. Despite being new to Love Island, Shea was not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Blu after the recoupling ceremony. In the promo clip he can even be seen taking a savage swipe at his co-star during their standoff, saying: "I think if a girl walked in, I could definitely take it somewhere." This dig seems aimed at Blu's string of failed connections.

Watch moment villa girls scream in horror as they spy on boys' night in show-first twist
LOVE Island bosses have pulled another twist out of their hat just days into the new series. For the first time in the show's history the girls have been given a live stream to watch as the lads head out of the villa - and meet three new bombshells. 5 5 5 And not surprisingly it looks set to cause some serious friction in the villa. The drama kicks off when Harry Cooksley gets a text, which reads: 'Boys, clear your schedules and get ready to leave the Villa! #BroTime #BeersAndBants' The boys don't hold back their excitement about having some time with the lads - despite only being in the villa a few days. But all is really not as it seems, as later that evening after the boys head out, the girls are shocked to find that they won't be without plenty of entertainment. Walking into the garden, the girls are stunned to be greeted with a big screen. And for the first time ever the girls will be getting to watch exactly what the boys are up to, as it's being streamed straight into the Villa… and the boys have no idea. As they catch on that they can see and hear the boys talking, a stunned Meg says: 'F*** off!' Alima Gagigo adds: 'We'll get to see how they act!' As the boys discuss their current pairings, bro code in full force, the girls aren't entirely thrilled with what they hear. And the surprises don't stop there, as all of a sudden the boys are greeted by not one, not two, but THREE brand new bombshells. Emily, Malisha and Yasmin crash the boys' night and waste no time in getting to know the group. Megan sees them and shouts: 'There's three of them!' A stunned Meg adds: 'You're joking!' Harry asks the new bombshells: 'Are you coming back with us?' Malisha says: 'Of course I am!' Yasmin adds to the boys: 'Tell us what your situation is in the Villa at the moment?' They fill them in on their current situations and how they're feeling, but as they're blissfully unaware that their every move is being watched, they don't hold back with their answers - sparking fireworks back in the villa. 5 5
