BCC shifts e-Khata applications to Belagavi One centres following corruption concerns
Belagavi: In a bid to streamline the property registration process and curb irregularities, the Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has introduced citizen-friendly reforms for e-Aasthi enrolments. Property owners can now apply for e-Khata registrations through designated Belagavi One centres in the city. Previously, applications were accepted manually at three divisional BCC offices. However, after corporators raised concerns over corruption, BCC commissioner Shubha B conducted a surprise inspection. She discovered that files submitted through middlemen were being prioritised, while genuine applications with complete documentation faced unnecessary delays. Taking immediate action, the commissioner suspended manual submission of applications and transferred the process to Belagavi One centres. "Currently, two centres are operational, one at Ashok Nagar and another at Goaves. Due to increasing workload, we have requested two additional centres at the BCC office building and Konwal Galli. We are expecting those to become operational in a week," she told the TOI. There is no need to approach agents or middlemen," she said, adding that login credentials have been issued to the centres for direct uploading of applications. Commissioner Shubha said BCC successfully cleared a backlog of 3,854 e-Khata applications, some pending for over six months, in just two days recently. However, the pace has slowed due to server issues. "The urban development department informed us that the server would be down for four days; three have already passed. We're hoping for resolution soon," she noted. To raise public awareness, BCC installed a cantilever board at Channamma Circle, listing required documents for obtaining A-Khata and B-Khata certificates. Although a helpline was launched to assist residents with e-Khata queries, it is currently facing challenges. "Most calls are unrelated to e-Khata, making it difficult to resolve actual queries," the commissioner admitted.

Iran's nuclear facilities 'intact' after US attack? White House says 'top secret assessment' 'flat out wrong'
Iran's Fordow nuclear site after US attack. The core components of Ira's nuclear program are intact, and they can be set back by months, a top secret assessment of the US intelligence revealed, CNN reported. The report said the assessment was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, based on the battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command. CNN quoted two people familiar with the assessment who said Iran's stockpile of uranium was not destroyed. One said they were "largely intact". The White House reacted to the CNN report and said there was a "top secret" assessment which was classified but was leaked to CNN by "an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community". White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the assessment has been rejected by the administration as "flat-out wrong". "The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran's nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration," Leavitt said to CNN in her statement. Earlier, Donald Trump named CNN and slammed them for questioning the ability of the B-2 bomber pilots who flew for 18 hours, entered Iran and dropped the bunker-busters, and drove home back for another 18 hours -- without being attacked. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villa For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Villas in Dubai | Search ads Learn More Undo Where is Iran's uranium stockpile? Vice President JD Vance's statement hinted that the stockpile remains with Iran. On Fox News, the vice president said the location of the uranium is not the question before the US now but the question is whether Iran can make nuclear weapons from what they have. The Iranian stockpile of uranium was believed to have been located mainly at Isfahan, which houses a conversion facility that turns uranium into the form that can be fed into centrifuges for enrichment. 'The goal was to bury the uranium, and I do think the uranium is buried,' Vance said. Vance dismissed the possibility that Iran moved the stockpile before the attack and said the Midnight Hammer mission was successful.

Now, residents can complete land mutation online from JDA's portal
Jaipur: In a major technological leap to curb land-related fraud, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) successfully integrated the 90A Portal, the e-Registration Portal, and the e-Dharti Portal. The integration helps residents complete the process of land mutation entirely online. Soon, JDA will roll out the e-mutation services on its portal. "This step has been taken with property management and transparency in mind. People will get relief from the service of auto mutation through the 90A API on the e-Dharti portal," said JDA Commissioner Anandhi. Officials said to facilitate this service, JDA has integrated its portal with the state govt's e-Dharti portal, 90A Portal, and the e-Registration Portal. This means all details related to a particular piece of land under JDA's jurisdiction are now available on the JDA's portal. "Now, under the present system integrated on the JDA's portal, residents and landowners can transfer land ownership immediately after the conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural use under Section 90A. Previously, after obtaining a 90A order, applicants often waited for land mutation for years, during which time the land technically remained under the name of the former owner, leading to a heightened risk of fraudulent sales," an official added. The new system ensures that once JDA issues the 90A order online, the application for mutation is automatically generated and sent to the respective tehsildar. After the tehsildar completes a brief verification process and inputs the required details, the mutation is immediately recorded in JDA's name on both the e-Dharti and Apna Khata portals. "If the tehsildars and other officials don't raise any objections, e-mutation shall be completed within a month. Another advantage of this system is that for every official involved in the process, there's a specific timeline. No official can sit on the application for days and must accept the application or raise objections," added the official .
