"It would be fantastic if I could reach 1000 games," the veteran said [RecordSport].
"You could say it would be a special milestone because not many people manage to play as many games as that.
"I'm the type who doesn't see limitations, but rather opportunities. I enjoy what I do immensely.
"I look forward to training every day and to all the matches. I know it will end one day. That's also why I live very much in the present.
"I don't think several years into the future, but as I feel today, my plan is to continue my career for several years.
"The only thing that can stop those ambitions is if there is a serious injury.
"It has been one of the best seasons of my career. A new standard has been set for what we can and want.
"We lost one cup final against Aberdeen, were eliminated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League after a game where we had enough chances to win the game.
"I was really impressed with the atmosphere we had in the dressing room at the Allianz Arena. We had drawn against Bayern Munich, but we were very disappointed that we didn't progress.
"It shows me a lot about how mature we are as a team and not least about how much we have moved on.
"For me, it was the right time to end up at Celtic. Because I got exactly what I was looking for. I wanted more pressure and a big, traditional club. I got that at Celtic."

The US legend – who has been a fan of Celtic for over two decades –wants to personally serve up cheese and bacon beef burgers to fans at Parkhead. In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mail, he said: 'There has always been the opinion that food at sports stadiums is never good but that ain't got to be the case. 'People know that Snoop is a cook and I would love to bring a pop up burger to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. 'It's got to be Celtic Park man, I mean where else am I going to bring it. 'The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. Arsenal release statement as Benjamin Sesko vs Viktor Gyokeres decision made
Arsenal appear to have finally made a decision between RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyokeres after lengthy deliberations Arsenal's number one priority in the summer transfer window is to sign a world-class centre-forward - and they are now getting close to making that wish a reality. The Gunners know they need to spend big on a striker after finishing second in the Premier League for the third straight campaign, while also coming up short in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Mikel Arteta has been assured by the club's hierarchy that there is money to spend on the right player. "We plan to invest to get behind winning and doing better next season," co-chairman Josh Kroenke said recently. "We're delighted we have our sporting director, Andrea [Berta], who will play an important role in this. He is part of a unified and strong team, supported by the board, who are crystal clear on exactly what we need to do and the way in which we want to do it. The right way. The Arsenal way." Arsenal moved closer to signing a back-up goalkeeper on Saturday by agreeing a deal to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for £5million. Kepa spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and now appears set to join the Gunners as a back-up to David Raya. And the club now seems to have settled on another right player for their Arsenal way. Read on to find out the latest in their search. Talks over £60m Sesko deal Arsenal appear to have chosen Benjamin Sesko over Viktor Gyokeres this summer, with talks ongoing over a £60million transfer. The Gunners were interested in signing Sesko from RB Leipzig last summer, but he decided to stay another season. Now it seems he's ready to move. The German club are willing to sell the Slovenia international for the right price. And they have asked the Slovenian Football Association to omit Sesko from their friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday in a clear sign that a deal could be struck soon. The 22-year-old has lots of fans at Arsenal, who believe his performance stats are more impressive than Gyokeres', due to the higher level in the Bundesliga, compared to the Portuguese top flight. Arsenal release Jorginho statement The Gunners have confirmed that Jorginho is departing the club early in order to join Brazilian club Flamengo in time to feature in the Club World Cup in the United States. Jorginho was due to leave when his deal expired on June 30, but has left earlier. Arsenal said in a statement: "The club can confirm that we have reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect. Thank you for everything and all the best, Jorgi" The Gunners are set to say goodbye to 17 players at the end of the month, with Jorginho's replacement already lined up in the form of Martin Zubimendi, who is expected to join from Real Sociedad for £51m. Man Utd lead Gyokeres race Arsenal going for Sesko over Gyokeres has helped Manchester United take the lead in the race for the Swedish striker. Gyokeres worked with Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon and could be reunited with him next season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe's drastic cost-cutting at Old Trafford could help them get to the front of the queue for Gyokeres, who is expected to demand in excess of £200,000 per week to join. The 27-year-old is likely to cost around £65m - around the same figure as Sesko, who is five years younger. Gyokeres could lead the line alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo at United next season. Cunha is joining for £62.5m from Wolves, while United have offered Brentford £55m plus £5m in bonuses for Mbeumo. Thomas Tuchel unhappy with lack of quality in England win against Andorra
Harry Kane finally gave the 6,950 travelling fans something to cheer about when he broke the deadlock early in the second half, turning in lively Noni Madueke's cross, but the expected goals onslaught did not follow. 'I am not happy with the performance, of course,' German coach Tuchel said on ITV1. A 1-0 win for the #ThreeLions in Barcelona 👊 — England (@England) June 7, 2025 'We started quite well in the first 20-25 minutes, which was the only part where I had the feeling it was only a matter of time, we created a lot of half-chances and from set-pieces, that we will score and keep on going. 'But we lost completely the momentum and couldn't get it back through the whole of the first half. 'We got a little bit of it back in the first 15 minutes of the second half and then ended up in a period which was by far not good enough – lack of urgency, lack of quality and lack of energy.' England play a friendly against Senegal in Nottingham on Tuesday night and Tuchel is expecting a much-improved display. 'We can just admit it that it's not what we expect from us and we need to do better,' the England boss added. 'We need a bit of time to look at it in detail and address it clearly and directly to be better on Tuesday.' Tuchel was also not happy with how England finished the match. 'We have to play until the 93rd minute. I didn't like the lack of urgency in the end,' he said. 'It did not match the occasion at all, it is still a qualifier away from home, I didn't like it at all. 'The players know all I said to you, because I said it in the dressing room, but it is also necessary to have a look in detail, watch the match again, and then we will let them know tomorrow what we want from them.' England captain Kane accepted it 'wasn't the greatest performance'. The Bayern Munich forward added: 'I don't think many people will remember this one but we can learn from it. 'It is very hot here, a dry pitch, probably similar conditions to maybe next year at the World Cup, so we will go away and analyse. 'We had good spells in the game but we couldn't have attack after attack. We take the three points and we move on.' "Some of the players looked bored" 🥱 Roy Keane and Karen Carney reflect on an underwhelming England victory against Andorra #ITVFootball | #ThreeLions — ITV Football (@itvfootball) June 7, 2025 England's listless display did not sit well with former Republic of Ireland international Roy Keane, who offered a scathing post-match analysis. 'We try and make excuses for England with the end of the season and it's been tough on the players,' the former Manchester United midfielder said on ITV1. 'I thought the first half was okay but when they scored the goal it felt it was job done. 'I was really disappointed with England's attitude after the goal went in. The manager can't be happy with that effort in the last half an hour. 'I felt like some of the players looked like they got bored in the last half an hour and I don't like to see that.'
