) continues to remain the pinnacle of the pro wrestling world, entities like AEW and TNA can equally be credited for grooming young wrestlers.
Mercedes Varnado, aka Mercedes Moné, is one such wrestler who continues to take giant strides in pro wrestling.
The 33-year-old pro-wrestler also appears in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and its sister promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom.
Mercedes Moné creates history
The female pro-wrestling superstar left the WWE in 2022, and since then, she has refused to look back. After she departed from the WWE three years back, Moné has continued to work hard and has taken her success to new heights.

recently defeated Zeuxis to win the CMLL Women's World Championship in a special show presented by All Elite Wrestling.
Mercedes Varnado is now the only female wrestler to emerge victorious in five different wrestling promotions at the same time. Varnado, aka Moné, is also officially the first woman in history to have competed at Madison Square Garden, Tokyo Dome, Wembley Stadium, and Arena Mexico. Moné is holding six title belts with the likes of TBS, Undisputed Rev Pro, Owen Hart, and the EWA Titles.

Born on January 26, 1992, Mercedes Varnado is also a professional actress apart from being a pro wrestler. The female pro wrestler started her career in 2010 and like all the big superstars in the industry, she started to perform in the independent circuit. The WWE signed her under the name of
Sasha Banks
and she continued to perform in the developmental territory NXT.
Varnado later went on to win the NXT Women's Championship.

Varnado, aka Banks, was later promoted to WWE's main roster, and she cemented her place in the locker room by winning the WWE Raw Women's Championship five times. The year of 2016 was a pathbreaking one for Banks as she, along with Charlotte Flair, became the first woman to compete in a Hell in a Cell match. Varnado is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Though she has had her fair share of critics, she continues to prove them wrong.
