'Fauji's daughter' Preity Zinta on Bollywood stars not condemning Pahalgam attack
Actor Preity Zinta on Wednesday responded to an X user asking her to comment on the actors who didn't condemn Pahalgam Attak on social media. The popular Bollywood star posted a long note, calling herself a 'Fauji's daughter', and sharing how terrorist attacks and anything that questions the country's sovereignty hit her 'close to heart'.The actor didn't take any names, but maintained that her reality can never be changed, irrespective of how the rest of the film industry chooses to express their concern or not.advertisement"@realpreityzinta #pzchat what's your opinion & take on so many co-stars & celebrated Bollywood stars not condemning the #Phalagamattack? Zinta replied, "I cannot speak for everyone else, as people process things differently. Being a fauji kid and coming from an army background, these things hit close to my heart, so I am very vocal about how I feel. I have seen the grit, the sweat, the blood, the tears up close. Sometimes I feel Fouji families are a little stronger than the Fouji's themselves (sic)."She added, "Have you seen those mothers that give their sons up for our country, those wives that will never see their husbands smile again and those kids that will never have their fathers or mothers guide them through life? This is their reality & this will never change irrespective of others' opinions or comments, so god bless them all (sic)."

Amid falling earnings, the fifth instalment of the successful Housefull series recorded 11.71 percent Hindi occupancy on Day 8. As per Sacnilk, Housefull 5's week 1 worldwide earnings stand at ₹ 186 crore gross. A total of ₹ 43.50 crore gross collection came from the from the overseas market. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the star cast features Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever and Nikitin Dheer in pivotal roles.

Javed Akhtar had ‘massive ego', was dismissive and patronising towards first wife Honey Irani: ‘Tum nahi samjhogi'
In a candid interview with Filmfare, veteran writer and former actor Honey Irani opened up about her time with acclaimed screenwriter Javed Akhtar during the peak of his legendary partnership with Salim Khan. The iconic duo was known as Salim-Javed. At a time when they were ruling mainstream Hindi cinema, Honey had a front-row seat to both their creative genius and the power dynamics that came with success. When asked if Javed Akhtar had any sort of ego during that period, Honey didn't hesitate. In fact, she pushed back at the question itself: 'Any sort of? He had a massive ego.' Reflecting on those days, she said, 'Massive, massive ego. He used to say, 'You don't know what you're talking about,' or 'Tum nahi samjhogi (You won't understand)'.' She continued, 'He was patronising with other people too. When someone would try to advise them saying, 'Sir, aapko aise baat nahi karni chahiye… ya aapko yeh kar lena chahiye…' (Sir, you shouldn't speak like this, or you should do this instead). They would respond like, 'Don't tell us what to do, we know.' So they had that, they had arrogance. And I have seen that.' Films such as Immaan Dharam and Shaan, didn't particularly appeal to her. Still, she recognised the immense stature the duo held in the industry back then, noting that offering them feedback wasn't really an option. Their influence and pride left little room for critique. Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani were married for 11 years before parting ways in 1985. In past interviews, Javed Akhtar has openly spoken about how his struggle with alcohol addiction strained their relationship. He admitted that he was heavily addicted to alcohol for nearly 20 years, which took a toll on both his personal and professional life. In the same interview with Filmfare, Honey Irani reflected on their marriage, saying they were very young and, in her words, 'extremely foolish' at the time. She admitted she knew early on that the marriage wasn't going to work. Irani also clarified that their separation had nothing to do with Javed's second wife, Shabana Azmi.

Its sequel is slated for June 11, 2027, release. According to Hollywood Reporter, the movie amassed a whopping $11.1 million from preview shows in the US. A massive $8.6 million earnings came from regular Thursday previews while the rest $2.5 million came from June 11 early access screenings. The movie received 99% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. Amid a massive $82.5 million projected earnings on Day 1 across 4,356 theatres in North America, the movie is expected to record the best opening ever in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, Deadline reported. The official description of the movie states, 'On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup stands apart.
