Nintendo sells out of Switch 2 consoles - 3 places you can still buy

The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 has finally landed, with the latest gaming console now available for purchase at various retailers. The console is currently sold out on the Nintendo website, but the following three retailers are still have stock at time of writing. Firstly, Amazon is offering the Nintendo Switch 2 for €470.34. For those keen on getting their hands on Mario Kart World as well, Amazon is selling a bundle of the console and the game for €510.72. Very is another retailer where the Nintendo Switch 2 is available, however they will only ship to the UK and Northern Ireland. The console on its own costs £395.99, while the Mario Kart World bundle is £429.99. As an added bonus, Very is also providing 12 months of free insurance, giving gamers some extra peace of mind. As reported by the Mirror, for those who'd rather spread the cost over time, Currys offers a monthly payment option. The retailer is selling the Nintendo Switch 2 for €19 per month over a 36-month period. Alternatively, shoppers have the flexibility to pay as much or as little as they wish for six months, provided they clear the full amount by 5 December 2025 to avoid any interest charges. Currys is also selling the console upfront at a slightly lower price than other retailers, at €469. Amazon is offering a bundle comprising the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World game. The Switch 2 is an enhanced version of the original Switch console. It boasts a larger screen, new features, and a host of exclusive games to immerse yourself in. The upgraded device comes with a 7.9-inch LCD display offering 1080p resolution. It also has a bespoke Nvidia chipset and the capability to output in 4K. The console is bundled with a new Pro controller and Joy-Con, along with a Game Chat camera that allows gamers to interact with their mates. A range of Switch 2 games is now available for purchase from the above retailers. Games designed for the original Switch console can still be played on the Switch 2. However, there's a cost to upgrade them before they can be played. This includes titles such as Super Mario Party: Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Third-party games like Cyberpunk: 2077 and Star Wars: Outlaws are also compatible with the Switch 2. This is made possible by its advanced custom chipset, which enables games to be upscaled from a lower resolution, courtesy of the AI-powered DLSS. Ahead of the Switch 2 launch, Nintendo issued a cautionary note to gamers. They are advised not to peel off the protective film covering the console's screen, as it's designed to ensure the device is shatterproof.

‘Game's gone' – Fuming fans just realising how much it costs to watch Nations League despite having Prime Video

FOOTBALL fans have been left fuming after realising how much they will need to pay to watch the Uefa Nations League. Fans would have hoped to tune in tonight to watch Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal take on Florian Wirtz's Germany in the first of the Nations League semi-finals tonight. That is because on top of needing to have an Amazon Prime Video subscription - which costs £95 per year or £8.99 a month - fans are also being forced to pay an extra cost. Amazon announced in March that viewers would be able to watch Nations League games from £2.49, and they could be viewed without a subscription. But coming to the matches this week, fans were left furious to learn the pay-per-view policy was active, even if you already had a subscription to the streaming platform. A third added: "I can watch it on a stream but the fact Amazon Prime is charging £2.49 to watch a Nations League match is absurd." Another said: "£3 pay per view to watch the Nations League on Amazon Prime, a platform you already have to pay for.
