The LIV Golf Dallas event teed off at the Maridoe Golf Club on Friday, featuring a 54-hole competition with a $25 million purse. But before the event could start, LIV announced sad news about golfer.

The event took an unfortunate turn for RangeGoats GC, as Matthew Wolff, golfer with $22 million in career earnings, has officially withdrawn from LIV Golf Dallas. The early exit comes amid mounting concerns over an injury.
Wolff previously exited LIV Golf Virginia after eight holes due to a muscle strain, an incident that prompted his replacement by Ollie Schniederjans, who shot an impressive 4‑under to help RangeGoats top the team leaderboard.
Now, in Dallas, Schniederjans is once again taking Wolff's spot for the remainder of the tournament. Official sources have not yet confirmed the exact nature of Wolff's injury.

The sad part is RangeGoats GC tweeted on Thursday, with an excited message welcoming Wolff to the course.

"Wolff is back and ready to bring the heat in Dallas! 🐺🔥" they posted. Even Wolff himself was excited to be back.
'I'm feeling pretty good, actually — some much‑needed rest," Wolff said on Thursday. "I've been working on my body, trying to recover, doing some physical therapy and getting in the gym a little bit."
"I'm feeling a lot better and pretty optimistic about the week. I'm continuing to work on my body as well as my game to keep on feeling good.'
But disaster struck on Friday. Meanwhile, RangeGoats will lean heavily on players like Bubba Watson, Peter Uihlein and Ben Campbell — plus Schniederjans — as they look to maintain momentum in the team race.

Buccaneers' Pass Catcher Predicted 'League-Winning WR' in Fantasy Football

Buccaneers' Pass Catcher Predicted 'League-Winning WR' in Fantasy Football originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans has been underestimated throughout his entire pro career. All he's done is exceed expectations each and every campaign since being drafted by the Bucs. Advertisement Even after missing three games last season with a hamstring issue, Evans continued his record streak of 11 straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving. This season, while many may be once again undervaluing his season at the age of 30, he's expected to excel in your fantasy football league. Derek Brown of Fantasy Pros thinks Evans will once again surpass expectations in your fantasy league. "Mike Evans has finished no lower than WR13 in fantasy points per game over the last four years, and he didn't show any signs of slowing down last year," Brown wrote. "While he has dealt with hamstring issues in each of the last three years, he has never played less than 14 games in any season. Last year, Evans ranked 23rd in target share, fifth in yards per route run, 16th in receiving yards per game, fourth in route win rate, and second in separation (per Fantasy Points Data). Evans is primed to produce as a WR1 again in 2025." Advertisement Evans has tallied at least 11 touchdowns in four of the past five years while finding the end zone 57 times during that period. The former Texas A&M Aggies pass catcher has never caught less than 70 passes in a season and has been targeted at least 110 times in 10 of the last 11 years. The last time he averaged less than 14 yards per catch was in 2016. You can continue to underestimate Evans' value in your fantasy league, but it'll be your own fault if you don't draft him early. Seattle Mariners Slip 2 Spots In MLB Power Rankings

Seattle Mariners Slip 2 Spots In MLB Power Rankings originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the Seattle Mariners are trying to stay relevant in the American League West Division race, they look to Cal Raleigh to help lead them to some postseason play. Advertisement Sure, it might be early to talk about AL postseason spots. But Seattle needs to have more than just Raleigh to help make it a reality. The Mariners slipped from No. 11 to No. 13 in the latest MLB Power Rankings released by The Athletic. What's the current situation revolving around Seattle? Grant Brisbee of The Athletic offers a big-picture look at the situation that the Mariners find themselves in right now. "The Mariners didn't do much to address their offensive woes in the offseason, getting Donovan Solano and Miles Mastrobuoni and little else," Brisbee wrote. "Their biggest offseason acquisition might have been Rowdy Tellez, both literally and figuratively, but he's since been designated for assignment. Cal Raleigh's great season is playing a big part in keeping Seattle Mariners in the hunt "If you pointed this out before the season, nobody was going to retort with, 'Oh, yeah? Well, maybe Big Dumper hits 60 homers this season, you ever think about that?'" Brisbee wrote. Seattle fans, of course, know that "Big Dumper" is Raleigh's nickname. Advertisement "It's a valid response now, though, as Raleigh's nonsensical power surge is carrying the Mariners and single-handedly keeping them relevant in the division," Brisbee wrote. "They'll need others besides Raleigh (and J.P. Crawford) to contribute, but the biggest reason the Mariners still have a shot at winning the AL West is a catcher doing things that catchers shouldn't do." Raleigh is currently hitting .278 with 32 home runs and 68 RBIs. The Mariners' offense revolves around him. As Brisbee pointed out, though, Seattle needs more from his teammates. Tellez was supposed to provide a big bat for the Mariners' offense. Obviously, that did not work out. Seattle stormed to the AL West lead early this season, only to see it gone after some losses piled up. Guess who's back leading the division again? None other than the Houston Astros. For the Mariners to keep pace, Seattle manager Dan Wilson needs to get a functional lineup out on the field every game. It's going to take some work for Seattle to get the job done this season. Brooks Koepka Turns Heads With On-Course Meltdown Before Withdrawal

Brooks Koepka Turns Heads With On-Course Meltdown Before Withdrawal originally appeared on Athlon Sports. To say that Brooks Koepka's recent form on the golf course has been unpredictable is an understatement. Advertisement On the LIV Golf Tour, Koepka has had a mixed bag of results this season, with a pair of top-10 finishes, and four finishes outside of the top 30. Meanwhile, in the major championships, Koepka has not been up to his usual form, missing the cut at both the Masters and the PGA Championship before finishing in a tie for 12th at the U.S. Open. So to see Koepka struggle once again this week at the LIV Dallas tournament didn't come as a surprise. To see him melt down on the course, whack a tee-marker into a crowd of people, and then withdraw from the tournament due to "illness" in the first round, certainly turned some heads. "PGA to LIV to fall from grace," another added. "Bro must have hungout with Rory and Wyndham last week," one fan commented. There were no reports of any injuries from the tee-maker smash, but it is undoubtedly a bad look for Koepka, who has been struggling to get his game into form after being such a dominant force on the PGA Tour, winning five major championships, before moving over to LIV in 2021. Koepka has been open and honest about his recent frustrations, admitting this past month at the U.S. Open that he was aware of his struggles, and working hard to fix the. Advertisement 'From the first weekend in April until about [the beginning of June], you didn't want to be around me,' Koepka said after the first round of the U.S. Open. 'It drove me nuts. It ate at me. I haven't been happy. It's been very irritating.' A top-12 finish followed at the Open, but it appears that the frustrations have returned for Koepka.
