Cloudy Thursday morning followed by temperatures rising towards record levels to end week

Yahoo03-04-2025

(PINPIONT WEATHER) — Showers and storms popped up as a warm front was lifting through the region Wednesday evening. After they gradually weaken and move out overnight, we'll be left with clouds and areas of fog for Thursday morning.
In the wake of the front, temperatures get warmer Thursday afternoon, rising into the 80s. We'll break out with some sunshine, but that could lead to more spotty showers or a thunderstorm late in the afternoon and evening.
Friday and Saturday are when the heat gets cranked up even more, with mid- to upper-80s in the forecast! This will get the Charlotte area into record territory, with forecast highs coming awfully close to that mark. The weather looks mostly dry if you're heading out to the Carolina BBQ Festival in Uptown!
Sunday will bring another good chance of showers and storms with the next cold front. Behind it, we'll go from abnormally warm temps to abnormally cool! Watch for some frost potential in spots by mid-week.
Tonight: Areas of showers & storms. Low 66.
Thursday: Partly sunny and warm. Spotty showers/thunderstorm possible. High 82.
