Tennessee Titans' supporting cast ranked among NFL's worst
Tennessee Titans' supporting cast ranked among NFL's worst Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Bogonzi was tasked with rebuilding an organization that has struggled to remain relevant. Since moving to Tennessee from Houston, the Titans have made 10 postseason appearances, including a Super Bowl appearance in 1999 when they lost to the St. Louis Rams. Borgonzi is the next guy tabbed to take this franchise to the next level, but first, the rebuild. To that end, the Titans made many impactful moves during the offseason. They bolstered the offensive line during free agency and added other offensive weapons through the 2025 NFL draft. One of those weapons is Cam Ward, the rookie standout from Miami who is expected to start for the Titans in Week 1. But how did Borgonzi do with Ward's supporting cast? FOX Sports ranks the Titans' supporting cast near the bottom of the league at 29th overall. It feels like a big deal that Cam Ward is going to start his NFL career behind an offensive line that should give him a chance. Maybe the Titans overpaid for a couple pieces there, but it still looks like it's going to be a much better unit than what you'd expect from the team picking first in the draft. Calvin Ridley is still a solid enough receiver, and Tony Pollard still managed 1,000 yards on last year's terrible team. The options behind them aren't as exciting, but you've got to admit this isn't an awful starting point. It's interesting that with such a low ranking, there wasn't much negative to say about the Titans' offensive weapons. There are no big names outside of Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard, but they are all very capable players. Rookies Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, and Xavier Restrepo are already turning heads, and it wouldn't be surprising to see one or more of them take a starting spot before the season ends. Add to that the lack of talk about Tyjae Spears and what he brings to the table, that he held down the ground game while Tony Pollard battled injury in 2024. He has his own injury issues, but he's a multi-faceted player who can be used to disguise plays of all kinds. So, while FOX Sports ranks the Titans' supporting cast near the bottom of the league, it's mostly because it's an untested group in a new regime. How they perform this season will show us where things truly stand.

Argentine Ustari, not Messi, shines for Inter Miami and earns MVP in first FIFA Club World Cup game
An Argentine not named Messi was the MVP for Inter Miami in the Club World Cup on Saturday night. The star in the tournament opener was goalkeeper Oscar Ustari. Ustari made eight saves, including on a penalty kick and a goal-line intervention, as Miami played Egypt's Al Ahly to a scoreless draw in the Group A tournament opener. Ustari's save of a header in the 33rd minute was second only to stopping Trezeguet's penalty just before halftime and making sure danger was averted when the ball bounced back to Al Ahly's forward. Inter Miami's goalkeeper Oscar Ustari saves a penalty during the Club World Cup group A soccer match between Al Ahly and Inter Miami in Miami, Fla., Saturday, June 14, 2025. Lynne Sladky / AP The 38-year-old Ustari returned to a World Cup stage in this new Club World Cup format for the first time since winning the U-20 World Cup in 2005 — with none other than Messi, Inter Miami's captain. Before joining Inter Miami, Ustari was captain of Pachuca, also in the tournament, but faced controversy because Grupo Pachuca also owns Club León, which was removed by FIFA and had its appeal rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Ustari made 124 appearances with the Tuzos before playing briefly for Audax Italiano in the first division of Chile. He was signed as a free agent in September 2024 by Inter Miami. He has played 22 games, including eight in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. "I don't like to talk about myself. The team did a great job defensively and that is what I most care about." "I remember being retired and knew that my return would come on a field, so I'm very happy about it (being back)." "I thought we were superior, that's what I think. The game left me with good feelings, but our next rival is very different." "We didn't think their keeper would make so many saves, he was the key player in the game along with Oscar in the first half, but that shows that goalkeepers can earn you points as well." — Luis Suárez, Inter Miami forward.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice anticipates 'explosive' 2025: 'Excited to put on a show'
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice anticipates 'explosive' 2025: 'Excited to put on a show' Show Caption Hide Caption Greg Olsen believes Travis Kelce 'controls how he leaves the game' Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen has high praise for Travis Kelce and shares when he believes Travis Kelce will eventually retire from the NFL. Sports Seriously The Kansas City Chiefs fell just one win short last season of becoming the first NFL team to secure three consecutive Super Bowl titles. Despite losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, Kansas City's historic fifth appearance in the big game in the last six years marked an incredible feat by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Kansas City finished the regular season with a 15-2 record, even though the offense struggled at times to score touchdowns, finishing 22nd in red zone efficiency. A significant reason behind the offense's floundering was perhaps the absence of wide receiver Rashee Rice, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. He appeared to be quickly becoming the No. 1 receiver for Kansas City and the playmaker the offense had been searching for since trading Tyreek Hill during the 2022 offseason. Rice appears to be rejuvenated and excited for what lies ahead in 2025. "Wide receiver group, we're going to be explosive this year," Rice told KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson. "We're just excited to put on a show to be honest. We know it's gonna be a show. Only thing in the way right now is time, so we're just waiting patiently." Rice had accumulated a team-high 288 receiving yards on 24 receptions and two touchdowns before his injury. His absence was a significant blow to the offense. The Chiefs finished 16th in yards per game, marking the first time since Mahomes took over they finished outside of the top ten in that category. Justin Watson (Texans), Mecole Hardman (Packers) and DeAndre Hopkins (Ravens) all departed in free agency. Travis Kelce will lace them up for a 13th season, although he will turn 36 later this year. Alongside Rice in the wide receiver room is 2024 first-round pick Xavier Worthy. Additionally, the reigning AFC champs re-signed veterans JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown to one-year contracts. Rice has been feverishly focused on his recovery as he looks to be a key cog in the offense. "It's a hard process," Rice said. "If you love the game enough, it's nothing that can really take you away or discourage you that you can't get the job done." The Chiefs' offense has the potential to bounce back, and their first opportunity to do so in 2025 will come against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, Sept. 5 in Brazil.
