Byrne and Walsh six shots off the lead at the Hulencourt Women's Open
Cork's Sarah Byrne and Kildare's Lauren Walsh are six shots off the leader Germany's Helen Briem at the Hulencourt Women's Open in Belgium.
Byrne and Walsh are both tied for 16th after round two. Byrne hit six birdies and two bogeys during her round to finish on four under 68 while Walsh hit four birdies and a bogey for her three under 69 to leave the duo two under for the tournament and in a good position heading into the weekend.
Walsh will be hoping for a better performance over the weekend after she was a 36-hole leader last week in Tenerife before falling back at the weekend.
Breim hit an eight-under par dropping just one shot on the fifth hold to take the outright lead. The 19-year-old rolled in five birdies and sits just one shot ahead of 18-year-old Avani Prashanth. The rookie closed her second round with a birdie to sit on seven-under par for the tournament.
Australia's Kelsey Bennett is in third on six-under par. She dropped just one shot on the second hole but hit birdies on the sixth and seventh in what was a solid second round.

Meath battle past Kildare and the elements to progress to last eight
Meath booked their place in the TG4 Ladies All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals with victory over Kildare in a low-scoring game at Manguard Park. It was a game of two halves. For most of the first half weather conditions were poor with lashing rain and there were, understandably, plenty of mistakes made by both sides with spilled balls and loose passing. The rain stopped just before the break and dry conditions followed for the second half, but the football was still quite poor. Meath upped their performance and that was the difference in the end. Kildare's Lara Curran opened the scoring in the second minute and six minutes later Roisin Byrne hit over a lovely point to put two between the sides. Emma Duggan pointed a free in the 11th minute for the Royals to get them off the mark. In the 15th minute Marion Farrelly's effort was blocked, while at the other end Byrne had a shot blocked down by Mary-Kate Lynch. Just before half-time, Duggan fired over a free to level matters at 0-02 apiece. Meath kicked four wides in the opening half too. Roscommon v Cork LIVE updates from All-Ireland Football Championship clash
Roscommon take on Cork this afternoon in the final group game of the round robin portion of the All-Ireland football Championship. Today's game throws in at 4.15pm, with Laois Hire O'Moore Park hosting the contest. It's a straight shootout between these two sides to determine who makes it through to the knockout rounds. Table toppers Kerry will secure their place in the quarter-final with a victory against Meath - who have already guaranteed a preliminary quarter-final berth for themselves. Cork have zero points, so they need a win in order to move ahead of Roscommon and secure third place and a preliminary match-up. The Rossies have one point to their name, so a win for them and defeat for Meath would see them finish second and set-up a home preliminary quarter-final. A draw would still see them through. So, Cork need a win, while the Rossies need only a draw.
