Nowhere else Kirsty Morrison would rather be than at champions Hibs

Kirsty Morrison has signed a two-year contract extension with Hibernian Women and there is nowhere else she would rather be.
The 23-year-old has signed on with Hibs until 2027 after winning the first Scottish Women's Premier League title of her career.
Morrison played a key role in Hibs push for the title, scoring four goals in 23 appearances – including a crucial last-minute winner against Glasgow City in the first post-split game of the campaign, as well as starting at Ibrox on the final day.
A Hibs Girls Academy graduate, Morrison has been with Hibernian for over a decade and was awarded her senior debut versus Spartans in February 2019 by Grant Scott.
The forward showed her class at a young age, netting her first goals for the Club in a convincing win over Forfar Farmington just two months after making her debut.
In her first season in senior football, she started the SWPL Cup Final in May 2019 and played 95 minutes as Hibs defeated Glasgow City on penalties in Airdrie to earn her first winners' medal of her career.
She now has 136 appearances for the Club and is excited to continue her career in Leith: 'I'm really happy to extend my stay at the club, I've been at the club a long time now and there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
'I'm really excited for what the future holds. After having such a successful season we have a great opportunity to build on that. We also have the opportunity to play in the Champions League which will be a special experience.'
On Kirsty's new deal, Hibs Women head coach Grant Scott commented: 'I'm delighted that Kirsty has committed her future to the club. She's another talented academy graduate who brings great experience to our squad despite only being 23.
'Kirsty has developed into a consistent performer over the years and played a key role in this season's title win. On and off the park, her attitude sets a great example for the other young players coming through.
'She's not only a quality footballer but another great person to have in our squad.'

Scots OnlyFans teacher who sold x-rated pics slams 'Victorian values' of education bosses

Kirsty Buchan faces being struck off following an educational watchdog hearing next week. A teacher who was sacked for selling X-rated photos online has blasted education bosses for their 'Victorian values'. The General Teaching Council (GTCS) for Scotland has scheduled a hearing that may ban Kirsty Buchan from the classroom. ‌ But the physics teacher has told the education bosses she is too busy to attend – as she is doing a photo-shoot for her OnlyFans site. ‌ She said: 'The way I've been treated in the school and the education system has been very one-sided and unfair. 'They have applied Victorian values to behaviour that is socially acceptable in 2025 and written it up as though I am suffering from poor morality. The Daily Record interviewed Kirsty in 2022 after it emerged she was running the saucy sideline and made £60,000 in a month. Pupils at Bannerman High in Baillieston, Glasgow, got wind of the full-frontal content and some parents were furious. But despite accepting a no-show at her GTCS hearing will probably mean being struck off, Kirsty is unrepentant. ‌ She said: 'The reality is that I live my life according to proper values. I'm loyal and decent and I treat people properly. And I know I was a very good teacher because I really cared about the kids I taught. 'I'd have loved to have carried on with both but that was taken away from me. They can do what they like at the GTCS but I won't be there.' Kirsty, of Coatbridge, said she was forced to step away from the modelling site after various setbacks, including the loss of a close family member. ‌ She added: 'I put a few things to the side to concentrate on being a mum and dealing with family things. But I am now up and running and I have hundreds of fans who are signed to my account and I am back on the modelling beat. I have been doing a range of new photos and videos and I'm looking forward to building up my portfolio.' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! It was revealed earlier this week the ex-teacher – who uses the handle Jessica Jackrabbitx on the site – faces a hearing with the GTCS on Monday, where she is charged with three offences. ‌ Kirsty, 34, is accused of bringing the profession into disrepute by selling the photos. The GTCS says she failed to ensure they could not be accessed by under-18s without the need to log in to the X-rated subscription service. She is also being carpeted for speaking to the Record, which caused a huge stir at the time, with pupils coming forward to say such modelling should be acceptable in 2025. ‌ In the interview, Kirsty told how her wages were docked by the school for time off she took off to look after her son. In her first month – after the Record story – she made £60,000, which is more than a year's wages as a physics teacher. Her employer, Glasgow City Council, referred her case to the GTCS. ‌ Kirsty said: 'I've already lost my job but they are determined to drag me through this hearing to ensure I can never teach again. It really just makes me feel sad, to give me a life ban and make out that I'm a bad teacher when opposite is true. 'It's just a lot of backward thinking, Victorian attitude rubbish and it says more about the GTCS and Glasgow City Council than it does about me.' Kirsty added: 'I loved the job and I loved the pupils, many of whom I'm still in touch with. I have also still been able to help a few younger kids out with their maths homework, just as a favour, and that gives me a buzz.' ‌ Kirsty believes the GTCS case is vindictive. She said: 'People just need to get over it. What I do is not hurting anyone.' The GTCS claims her actions were 'lacking in integrity', failed to take steps to stop her being identified and risked bringing the profession into disrepute. It is said she is unfit to teach. The GTCS hearing will be online, last up to three days and evidence will be led by lawyers even if Kirsty does not turn up. A panel could issue a reprimand and/or apply conditions to her work. The ultimate sanction would be the removal of her name from the teaching register.

Man Utd submit final Bryan Mbeumo transfer offer as Viktor Gyokeres drops hint

Manchester United are pushing to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, who they want to lead the line next season for Ruben Amorim alongside £62.5million arrival Matheus Cunha Manchester United are beginning to gather momentum in the summer transfer window - and are wasting no time in trying to get deals done. The club knows the importance of their business this off-season, after a dreadful debut campaign for Ruben Amorim, and are determined to get it right this time. United finished 15th in the Premier League and will not play in the Champions League next season after losing the Europa League final against Tottenham. They are recruiting from a position of weakness, which makes their decisions even more important, amid the financial difficulties spelled out by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. ‌ The Red Devils have made a positive start to the window by agreeing a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves. United will pay his full £62.5million release clause - and hope that his addition will encourage others to follow suit. ‌ In the meantime, they are negotiating the departures of some first-team players, knowing that offloading unwanted players will be just as important as recruiting new ones. Everyone in the squad is considered fair game, meaning there will be lots of incomings and outgoings this summer. Here are the latest pieces of news involving United. Final Mbeumo bid sumitted Manchester United have made one last attempt to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. An initial bid of £55m, comprised of £45m up front and £10m in add-ons, was rejected by the Bees, so United have upped their offer. They have now offered £55m plus £5m in add-ons for the Cameroon international, who banged in 20 Premier League goals last season. The offer appears to match Brentford's stated £60m valuation for Mbeumo. It would appear the final stumbling block in the move, given that the 25-year-old forward is keen to move to Old Trafford and has already agreed personal terms of around £200,000-a-week over a five-year contract with an option for an extra year. Gyokeres drops transfer hint Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with a move to Manchester United, due to his relationship with his old Sporting boss Amorim, and he has now ruled out on summer transfer. When asked about moving back to Sweden, the 27-year-old striker told Swedish Vogue: 'After living in a warm country, it would be difficult." ‌ Gyokeres is understood to be available for £60m from Sporting this summer, but Arsenal are considered to be front-runners, because they can offer Champions League football. However, the Gunners are still considering RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, so Gyokeres' move to north London is far from certain. Hojlund's future on hold ‌ Inter Milan are waiting to get their new manager in place before deciding on a potential move for Rasmus Hojlund. Inter boss Simone Inzaghi left the Italian giants to join Al-Hilal after their defeat in the Champions League final and his replacement isn't through the door yet. Cristian Chivu is poised to leave Parma to take over from Inzaghi and he will be given a say over a potential move for Hojlund. The Danish international has a good reputation in Serie A following his spell at Atalanta and could be offered a way out of Old Trafford. Inter will need new attackers, with Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic set to depart. And Hojlund could fit the bill for Chivu, although there are suggestions he could prefer Parma star Ange-Yoan Bonny instead.

Reece James hoping to make it a family affair on the England scene this summer

The Chelsea defender wants to pin down his place in Thomas Tuchel's side in the upcoming games against Andorra and Senegal while his sister Lauren has overcome injury to be named in the Lionesses squad for Euro 2025 in July. James is delighted for his younger sister and knows the siblings are making their parents proud. Reece James is hoping to nail his position down in Thomas Tuchel's side (Bradley Collyer/PA) 'I'm delighted for her,' the right-back said. 'She obviously got injured with England at the back end of the season, and I'm happy she got selected to represent England going into another Euros. 'I've spoken to her briefly yesterday, I know she's focused on training and trying to get her body right for the tournament. 'The family are very much happy. Both of us representing our country, they're proud.' James has some competition if he wants to make the right-back position his own for next summer's World Cup, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker also in contention. The 25-year-old has had an excellent campaign for Chelsea, leading them to Europa Conference League glory and Champions League qualification, with the chance of more silverware to come with the start of the Club World Cup later this month. He believes he is going in the 'right direction' and is not fazed by competition for places. 'I had a difficult two or three seasons, always being injured and coming back and breaking down again, and it was tough,' he admitted. 'It takes a lot out of you when you have so many setbacks. 'This season, I feel like I've come on leaps and bounds, playing on a consistent basis, getting selected for England again. I'm feeling strong, and for sure, I'm moving in the right direction. 'It's something I'm used to, playing or competing with world-class players. 'They're two phenomenal players in my position. 'And yes, of course, it's going to be tough. But we all have different capabilities and different strengths, just whichever one the manager wants to play.'
