French designer is one of the hottest names in handbags right now- and we've found £20 supermarket version
One of the hottest names in handbags right now is undoubtedly Polène. I hadn't even heard of the Parisian leather goods company this time a couple of years ago; now I have a list as long as my arm of their designs that I would love to buy, if only I could afford the £350-plus price tag.
From the squishy little Numéro Neuf Mini to the softly-sculptural Béri bag, the uber-chic brand has plenty of covetable options – and even the Princess of Wales is a fan, having worn Polène bags to a number of royal engagements. But there's one option that would be particularly great for summer, and that is the boat-shaped Cyme tote, which offers just about the most stylish way to cart your belongings round on holiday that I can imagine.
When travelling with my two kids recently, I felt rather embarrassed of the decade-old black backpack I was using for hand luggage. The most stylish women on the flight were boarding with practical but chic tote bags; perfect for all your bits and bobs on the plane but also brilliant when doubled up as a beach bag. If I had one of these, no one would need to know that it contained arm bands, baby wipes and various crumbled-up kids snacks inside – the overall effect would still be elegant.
Unfortunately, the £390 for this gorgeous piece of arm candy is slightly beyond my means. However, there's a Polène-inspired piece from – wait for it – a UK supermarket that has caught my eye, and I feel it might fill the Cyme-shaped hole in my life.
Enter Tu at Sainsbury's with its two-tone, canvas tote bag. It has a similar A-line shape and refined colour palette, plus (crucially) loads of room for the endless stuff I find myself ferrying about.

£20 Shop
I am surprised this bag hasn't sold out already, given its designer inspiration and amazing price tag at just £20. With all that money I've saved, I can treat myself to another holiday – except this time solo, with just a stack of novels and a beach towel in my lovely new tote. The dream.

I took a risk & bought a £73 dupe of the £2k cloud couch from SHEIN but I'm obsessed, it's so comfy I could sleep on it
A YOUNG woman has shared how she transformed her home on a budget using Shein buys. While many buy home decor from the site, this young woman decided to take a risk and order furniture. 4 The woman who goes by organizemyoasis online took to social media to share her budget-friendly find. She said: "I bought a couch on Shein so you don't have to." In one clip, she lay down on the stunning white sofa to measure its length, estimating it was 6ft 2 inches long. "I think it's a dupe of the cloud couch," she said, adding, "I would not eat on this couch." The white sofa came with a huge footstool that can be added to the end of the sofa to make it a corner one. The original cloud couch by Opaliving has four sections that can be moved to create a sofa to suit your space, as did the Shein version. However, the original is an eye-watering £1,999 to purchase. The young woman revealed in the comments she was able to grab the dupe of the luxury sofa for a shocking £75 as it was on sale. Six months on from buying the sofa, she shared what she thought of it and how well it held up, and it didn't disappoint. "I'm obsessed with my new couch. Like seriously obsessed. I've been through a lot of couches in my day," she said. 4 Shein have outdone themselves!' shoppers rave over customisable neon signs for under £40 & they're ideal for weddings "Some good, some bad. But this one? This one's a game changer. I'm officially in my white couch era." "The cushions are so soft and supportive. I could literally live on this couch," she added. As she purchased the sofa over six months ago it is no longer available on the site, but Shein is selling a similar version of the sofa for £425 which has lots of storage underneath. The clip has since gone viral with over 160k views and people were stunned by the quality of the furniture. One person wrote: "I love the set up!" What is Shein and is it legit? Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world. The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M. The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu. Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam. But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews. There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag. Another commented: 'Thanks for the review! They LOOK comfy so maybe once they are 'broken in' more they will get more comfy." "I'm blown away. I had no idea you can order a couch from Shein and have it delivered in a box," penned a third. Meanwhile a fourth said: "That couch is nice!" "Did not disappoint,' claimed a fifth. Someone else added: 'YDid not disappoint."
