BGT champ Harry Moulding has very casual plan to spend huge prize money

Magician Harry Moulding was a surprise winner of Britain's Got Talent, but now he has revealed he has big ideas on the future
Magician Harry Moulding has set his sights on landing his own TV show after he was a surprise winner of Britain's Got Talent 2025. The illusionist fell to his knees with joy as presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly declared him champion, having been only the 5-1 third favourite to win with bookmakers beforehand.
Speaking to the Mirror after his victory which saw him land a £250,000 prize and a spot in the Royal Variety Performance, he seemed unlikely to let success go to his head.

Asked how he would spend the money Harry said: "I cannot even think about the money, I don't have any extravagant plans to spend it yet. When I get back to Blackpool, I'm going to go to the chippy, get myself some fish and chips and just sit and take in everything that's happened. "Because right now, it doesn't feel real. I'd like to be able to spend some of it on a holiday with my family, because they've been my rock. But I can't even think of the money, because I feel like I am still dreaming."

He added: "I look at the likes of all of the other incredible magicians that have come before me and paved the way for magicians in the world of entertainment and I hope to follow suit. The ultimate dream would be to have my own show."
Harry also looked back on a pivotal moment at St Aiden's Church of England High School growing up. He explained: "My love of magic started when I was 11-years-old when a magician came to my school to perform.

"I cannot thank him enough because that day changed my life. The magic blew my mind and I would not stop talking about it. Although, my teachers probably wouldn't thank him, because my magic caused them headaches!
"It was as far from Hogwarts as you could imagine! But I thought I was Harry Potter, and they would say I was more of a class clown. I used to get my cards confiscated in class, because I constantly wanted to perform my magic tricks to school friends. I credit that day in school, seeing that magician perform, changed my life.
"I also loved drama at school, and I'm so thankful to my teachers who celebrated me for who I am, they've helped me to become the performer I can be today. I'm sorry to the teachers who had to deal with my magic antics, but I hope they can see it was all worth it now."

When Harry left school, he joined the cast of the Award-Winning House of Illusion Magic and Mystery Theatre Show in Spain. Since then, he has performed in thousands of sold-out shows and returned to the UK to work on his act full time in 2022.
Harry, 24, wowed the judges with his card trick act which featured a video of him skydiving out of a plane. He was fast-tracked to the final after guest judge KSI hit the golden buzzer in the semi-final, which also saw him propose to his girlfriend.

Harry added: "The Judges have been nothing but amazing. When I won, we had the most incredible moment on stage where we all huddled together and jumped around the stage. It was like a bit of a BGT Rugby scrum, where we just locked arms, and became the best ball of BGT chaos as we jumped around the stage. It was such a beautiful moment I got to share with them. As we bounced around, each of them was saying the most amazing things."
On the second part of his prize, he said: "To perform for the King will be such a great honour it means the absolute world. He is a part of the inner Magic Circle, and so I cannot wait to show him my act.
"I hope I will get to meet him so he can show me his infamous cup and ball routine that gained him entry into The Magic Circle as I know he is the original sleight of hand pro. I hope I make His Majesty proud.

"Even though I know the amount of pressure that comes with performing for the King, above all this is the greatest honour I could ever imagine and such a dream come true." The final of Britain's Got Talent peaked at 4.8 million, down on the 5.2 million viewers who watched 2024's final.
Dance group The Blackouts were this year's runners-up after performing a light show to hits by Robbie Williams and Take That. In third place was nine-year-old gymnast Binita Chetry.
Choral group Hear Our Voice, made up of people impacted by the Post Office scandal, were the bookies' favourites heading into the final, but finished outside the top three.

Ammanford business owner wins prestigious Welsh award

Connor Strange won Event Production Service of the Year at the Wales Prestige Awards for 2025/2026. Despite opening Connor Strange Tech just five years ago, Connor will be presented with the award at the ceremony on July 17 at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol. Connor started his business in January 2020. (Image: Connor Strange) Connor said: 'I set my business up in January 2020. Receiving this award is something I never thought would happen. It's something I never imagined occurring but it's nice to get recognition and it is testament to the journey I have been through. 'I do everything from my own home and I'm able to run my business the way I like it. It's also a great feeling to put Ammanford on the map. There is still a lot to work on, but Rome was not built in a day. 'My mum is really proud of me as are my friends and colleagues. I've received nothing but love from them because they know how hard I have had to work to get to this point. 'My plan for the future is just to keep going. I've got plans to get more freelancers involved, bring in a business development manager and break into new markets. But my primary purpose is event organisation.' Connor has worked with a range of stage companies, including Starquest at the Ammanford Miners Theatre. (Image: Connor Strange) Connor realised he wanted to work in the event industry full time when working in a pantomime for the first time in 2019. Since then, he has worked with a range of stage companies, including Starquest at the Ammanford Miners Theatre. Connor feels 'satisfaction' when helping a production flourish. (Image: Connor Strange) He continued: 'Before I started this venture I worked in retail and sales and stuff like that, but I wasn't happy. I wasn't satisfied with my life. When I was first offered a role to be a light manager on stage, it gave me a new lease of life. 'For my own business I am a sole trader. I am not a limited company. I've never had government funding. There were a lot of barriers before I started my own business. Working in event production gave Connor a 'new lease of life.' (Image: Connor Strange) Connor worked for the first time in a pantomime in 2019. (Image: Connor Strange) 'Helping to bring a show from pre-production to performance has given me a lot of satisfaction, especially when knowing that I am helping someone to flourish into something even bigger. 'The event industry has a big impact on the UK economy. People don't realise how stuff like the Olympics and live broadcasts like Britain's Got Talent helps to generate money. I'm proud to be part of that jigsaw puzzle with my business.'

Doctor Who icon favourite to play Lucius in controversial Harry Potter show

The Muggle world has been set alight with rumours and fan favourite picks for who could play who in the upcoming TV adaptation of Harry Potter. HBO has already selected three young actors from the sorting hat to play Harry, Hermione and Ron, with Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout now on the precipice of international fame. They will be joined in the wizarding world by John Lithgow as headmaster Albus Dumbledore, I May Destroy You star Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as Hagrid. The casting news has been met with a mixed reception, given how contentious JK Rowling has become in recent years amid her anti-trans views. A number of actors have ruled themselves out entirely. There are still several key players from Hogwarts who have yet to be cast – with the cruel Lucius Malfoy among them. The current favourite to sport the straightened blonde wig and do terrible things to Dobby is none other than the Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith. Senior TV Reporter Rebecca Cook shares her take… It's obvious where the thought behind this came from. Take one look at Matt Smith in House of the Dragon and you'll think 'Now who does this hair remind me of…?' Between that and his fiery yellow mohawk in Darren Aronofsky's new film, Smith has proven he's willing to put the hair transformation work in to get the results on screen. But would he be any good as the Death Eater? His wolfish part in House of the Dragon would suggest he could – but it's hard to argue with some of the other (perhaps better) names in play here. Tom Felton would be a wink and a nod to the original films (if he would want to return) while a gender flipped Lucius with Streep would provide a fresh dimension to the Draco relationship. Although, given that the Thrones spin-off is another HBO title, casting Smith would certainly save the props department a wig-sourcing job. The 42-year-old is currently top of a bookmaker's list of favourites to take on the character from Jason Isaacs' portrayal in the films, sitting with 6/4 odds. However, he's closely followed by Potter alum Tom Felton, who played Lucius's similarly peroxide blonde son Draco, and has 13/8 odds to reprise a Malfoy role in the TV show, according to Unlike his co-stars from the original films, Felton has not completely disavowed JK Rowling over her anti-trans views. Instead, he acknowledged the author was responsible for the franchise while also saying he is 'pro-human rights across the board' in an interview with The Independent. The next person in the list might have something of an edge, because not only do they have Isaacs' approval, but several Oscars on at home to boot. Isaacs said the Death Eater should be played by Meryl Streep, telling Variety: 'She can do anything, that woman. There's literally no limit to what she can do.' Who would make the best Lucius Malfoy? Plus, we know Streep has a villainous role in her arsenal after her terrifying turn as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, with 2/1 odds for the role. More Trending Isaacs was also asked if he had any advice for whoever is next to take on the role and questioned whether he needs to bother offering pearls of wisdom. 'I know some of the people they're casting already,' he said. 'They're brilliant actors. It's going to be fantastic, and the last thing they need is advice from some old fart like me.' There's every possibility Lucius won't be cast anytime soon, as the character doesn't appear in the first film. Although given that the TV show plans to be a more detailed adaptation, Lucius might be bumped up a season. View More » The Harry Potter TV show will air in 2026. Got a story? Harry Styles catches everyone's eyes as he strolls around London in tiny shorts

Harry Styles has sent fans into a frenzy with his latest look – not that it takes much, of course. The One Direction heartthrob was snapped on a stroll around London, displaying his gym-honed physique in a pair of teeny tiny shorts. Harry, 31, is famous for his bold fashion choices, whether it be covering Vogue in a lace dress or performing in stadiums wearing sparkly jumpsuits. But in his daily life away from the glitz and glam of showbiz, he's clearly a bigger fan of casual attire. Seen in the capital on Sunday, the As It Was hitmaker ran errands in the sporty bottoms and a comfy black sweater. The shorts showcased his very muscular legs as well as the array of tattoos Harry has on his thighs, from a tiger to French and Spanish writing. Adding to his vibrant yet chilled ensemble, he threw on a purple baseball cap and yellow tote bag, completing the look with some eye-catching footwear. Teasing what could be a huge trend for summer – let's be honest, if Harry Styles is wearing it, we're all wearing it – he strolled leisurely in a pair of Prada suede sneakers, which set him back £720. Well, we say 'set him back,' but Harry recently celebrated making it to The Times 40 Under 40 Richest UK celebrities list, with his net worth estimated at a staggering £225million. But, in true Harry style, his generosity was also noted, as he was named too on the paper's Giving List, recognising his charitable donations. The latest photos of the Grammy-winning star show him in his own world, wearing shades in an attempt to go somewhat incognito and with AirPods in his ears. However, when the pics started doing the rounds on social media, people were anything but calm. 'how am i supposed to focus on anything rn when he looks this beautiful', declared X user @flowerrysue. 'If I had those legs I would also walk around in shorts every day', wrote @ugo___________. 'i'm serious when i say men should start apologizing for not being harry styles', said @axlsugar. Fans are also anticipating the pop star releasing new music at any moment, with his last release being the mega-successful Harry's House album in May 2022. Following his multi-million-pound-grossing Love On Tour shows, Harry retreated from the spotlight for a while, specifically when his former bandmate Liam Payne died unexpectedly last October. In recent months, though, the Watermelon Sugar singer has been a busy bee, spotted here, there, and everywhere, leaving fans unable to keep up with his whereabouts. Early last month, people got quite a shock when Harry appeared in the crowd in Rome to witness the announcement of the new Pope. Having made his love for Italy known, the 1D alum blended into the spectators at Vatican City as a bell marked the election of Robert Francis Prevost, who will be known as Pope Leo XIV. Declaring his love for Italy when he took his tour there a few summers back, Harry even spoke Italian, revealing he was learning the language 'very slowly,' asking fans to 'please be patient' with him. 'Some of the happiest and most special moments of my life have been in Italy, and I'm very grateful for everything this country has given me,' he said sweetly. More Trending He continued: 'So, my love goes to every single one of you. Thank you for being here. Tonight, I want you to be free to be whoever you want to be.' Shortly before his recent roamings in Rome, he was seen in Berlin, and he even made a stop off in Tokyo to run a marathon… as you do. Regardless of his coordinates, fans are certain that a single announcement is imminent, what with Harry making quite the return to the public eye and with sources previously speculating that tunes could land this summer.
