Armagh GAA fan selling ‘county passports' for fans ahead of the Ulster Final
A Co Armagh man has taken his county pride to the next level in an effort to raise money for charity ahead of Armagh's clash with Donegal in the Ulster Final.
What started as a TikTok joke has led to popular sweet shop owner, Charlie Guy, creating his own Armagh passports for fans seeking to show their support for the boys in Orange in Clones tomorrow.
In a video published in April — which has amassed over 105,000 views — Mr Guy said a chief immigration office was needed to deal with and restrict an 'influx of people from Tyrone' into Armagh following the Orchard County's All-Ireland win.
'It was all just a big joke, really it was tongue in cheek after all that stuff Trump was saying, we said we were going to put a border around Armagh and put tariffs on everything that was being brought into Armagh,' he said.
Mr Guy, who runs the popular confectionary brand Sweet Guyz, has now dubbed himself head of passport control for the county.
'We have all these people coming from Tyrone or Down that are leaving and working in Armagh, just taking advantage of our hospitality,' he said.
'We need someone in charge of passport control to take control of it.'
But despite all the joking, Mr Guy is raising money for a very serious cause following a family tragedy just after Christmas.
'My cousin lost her son and husband in a crash late last year on the Killylea Road, so I always said if I was going to raise money for charity it would be for the air ambulance on her behalf,' he said.
Peter Devlin (63) and his son Loughlin (28), who were both from the Tynan area of Co Armagh, died following the collision which happened on December 27.
Mr Guy's cousin, Ursula, was also involved in the crash and was airlifted to the hospital where she recovered from her injuries.
The family privately donated to the air ambulance following their deaths, but now Mr Guy is hoping everyone in Armagh can get behind the good cause.
'To run the air ambulance for a day costs £7,000 and that's really my goal with the passports, it's to raise enough money for the air ambulance to run for a day,' he said.
'People are really interested in the passports, so I do think it's something we can do.'
The passports are available in a variety of shops across the county, but Mr Guy and his border control team will be selling the spoof travel documents to fans at the Ulster Final.
'They are in the Sweet Guyz shops and then we have them in shops in Portadown, Lurgan, Armagh and Newry,' he said.
'We have got a wee stall down in Clones for the match, so hopefully we can get a lot of fans to support the air ambulance — we will be selling sweets for the air ambulance too — they're for Armagh and Donegal fans.'
The passports can also be bought online ahead of the double-header showdown with the Ulster Ladies final between Armagh and Donegal also being played in Co Monaghan.
The Ladies game will throw-in at 3pm before the men's final at 5:25pm in St Tiernach's Park.

Air play Fairview Park in Dublin on Tuesday, June 17th. Are there any tickets left? Thankfully for you, some tickets are still available on from €77.45. By car: Concert-goers are advised not to travel to the event by car, as there is no public parking at the event. Promoters have asked attendees not to park illegally or in residential areas and to use public transport instead. However, if you must drive to Dublin for the concert, it would be worth looking into park and ride options or asking someone you know who lives in the area in advance of the concert if you could park your car at their house for the evening. No queuing is allowed before the gates open, and concert-goers are advised to allow sufficient time to travel to the event and pass through security checks. Anyone who does turn up early will be turned away. Under 16s must be accompanied to the concert and at all times by someone over 25, and strict age monitoring will be in place. Unaccompanied people under 16 will be refused entry to the event without a refund. The promoters have recommended that nobody under the age of five attend. No camping or collapsible chairs are permitted on site. Security checks will be in operation, and everyone will be subject to a search as a condition of entry. Additional searches may take place once inside the venue. No bags larger than A4 size are allowed inside the venue, and attendees are strongly advised not to bring big bags or backpacks as they may experience delays or be refused entry. Tyson Fury's next fight options including Anthony Joshua grudge match
The former two-time heavyweight champion has hinted at a return to the ring despite calling it quits after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk Tyson Fury has plenty of options on the table should the former two-time heavyweight champion make a retirement U-turn. Back in January, the 36-year-old shocked the world after officially calling it a day. "Hi everybody, I'm going to make this short and sweet," he said in a video uploaded to social media. "I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing. It's been a blast, I've loved every single minute of it. I'm going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up!" His announcement came just weeks after losing to long-time rival Oleksandr Usyk for a second time. Over the last few weeks, though, the 'Gypsy King' has hinted at a return to the ring. Recently, the Brit he uploaded a short video in the gym alongside trainer SugarHill Steward. Fury, 36, who was sweating slightly after potentially wrapping up a workout said: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know." He then shifted the camera towards the direction of an energetic and happy SugarHill - who replied: "You know what time it is!" The 'Gypsy King' had the last say before ending the story: "You know what's coming," he said - seemingly teasing a return to the ring. Despite back-to-back defeats to the Ukrainian, the Brit has several fight options on the table should he make a stunning comeback - including a stunning trilogy fight with Usyk. Back in April, Fury revealed he was ready for a third fight with the 'Cat.' The Ukrainian has said that he will have one more fight after taking on Daniel Dubois next month, with plenty of fight fans hoping to see him in the ring with Fury one more time. Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Usyk was asked about fighting Fury again and said: "Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe it's Anthony Joshua." He then added on Fury: "He's not retired. I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he's a great man. Yes, Tyson Fury... a lot of speak - blah blah blah blah - but it's good. Great man, wow." Responding to an Instagram post of the interview, Fury wrote: "Beat the f***er 2 times the world knows the truth. Any time, any place. sucher (sic) UK next time 100k people." Another fight that could be on the cards is an all-British showdown with Anthony Joshua. Following Fury's defeat to the Usyk in December, many had hoped to see the 'Gypsy King' and Joshua go head-to-head this year. Joshua has not fought since suffering a knockout defeat to Dubois last September. The 35-year-old is aiming to return to competitive boxing before the end of the year, following elbow surgery. Eddie Hearn - Joshua's promoter - recently confirmed that 'AJ' is in discussions with Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh over a new multiple fight deal. Joshua has not given up hope of finally realising a bout with Fury. The Brit is not convinced that his rival's retirement is final and appears confident that a fight could still materialise. The British pair agreed a two-bout deal in 2020 but saw plans scuppered when it was ruled Fury had to permit Deontay Wilder a trilogy fight. In a recent post uploaded to Snapchat, Joshua shared an image of himself watching Fury fight, saying: "One of these days I'll be standing in the opposite corner. Ready and fully charged spiritually." Hearn himself is still holding out hope that Fury will make a retirement U-turn and fight his star client. The Boxing promoter told DAZN: "It's probably three fights away. For me, if I'm advising AJ, we're back this year, we have two Tyson Fury fights, what else is there to do? Maybe fight a Daniel Dubois, but for me once AJ fights Tyson Fury, he's kind of done it all. I'd love him to have another crack at Daniel Dubois and I'd love him to have another crack at Usyk but you just keep going on and on and on. Now, if we get to next year and he's still firing on all cylinders then 2026 won't be his last year. But for me, something feels right about coming back this year, beating Tyson Fury twice and then sailing off into the sunset."

Taoiseach unveils Rory Gallagher Avenue as name of main entrance to Cork Airport
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has officially unveiled Rory Gallagher Avenue as the new name for the main entrance road at Cork Airport. At an event held at the airport on Saturday, and in the presence of the members of the Gallagher family, local political, business and civic representatives and other invited guests, the main roadway leading to and around the airport was dedicated to the memory of Rory Gallagher. Advertisement Gallagher was one of Cork's most famous people and one of the world's most renowned guitarists. Guests in attendance at Saturday's event were treated to a rendition of some of Rory Gallagher's most notable works by well-known Belgian guitarist, Jacques Stotzem, who travelled to Cork especially for the occasion. In close cooperation with the Gallagher family, Cork City Council, and Universal Music, the main entrance road to Cork Airport was renamed to commemorate Rory Gallagher on the anniversary of his passing 30 years ago. Rory Gallagher grew up in Cork and rose to international fame as a masterful blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
