Lenovo launches AI-powered PCs & monitors for modern offices

Lenovo has introduced a new range of business-focused, AI-powered desktop PCs and monitors designed to adapt to changing workplace requirements.
The new offering includes the ThinkCentre M Series Gen 6 desktops and ThinkVision T Series Gen 40 monitors, which are intended to support organisations of varying scales. The ThinkCentre desktop lineup spans tower, compact, and all-in-one form factors, while the ThinkVision monitors are designed for flexibility and centralised management.
Johnson Jia, Senior Vice President of Intelligent Devices Group's Global Innovation Center at Lenovo, highlighted recent findings from a global survey and outlined the company's vision. "Nearly half of businesses believe that AI-powered devices boost employee productivity, and 90 percent of those are already piloting, planning or exploring AI-powered PC rollouts, according to a recent Lenovo and IDC global survey of IT decision-makers. AI has and will continue to reshape the future of work, and Lenovo is proud to lead the way with a new generation of AI desktop PCs and monitors that meet the changing needs of businesses in this new era," Jia said.
"Our latest ThinkCentre M Series Gen 6 desktops and ThinkVision T Series Gen 40 monitors power businesses of all sizes with scalable performance to unlock next-gen AI productivity and creativity." he added.
The ThinkCentre M Series Gen 6 desktops are engineered to deliver power for demanding scenarios such as AI model training, three-dimensional design, and data analysis. The tower models, including the ThinkCentre M90t Gen 6, feature up to Intel vPro Enterprise with AI-capable Intel Core Ultra 9 Processors (Series 2), DDR5 memory support, and eight expansion slots for future upgrades. Connectivity is enhanced through a range of ports suitable for various business setups.
For environments with limited space, the ThinkCentre series also offers a 1-litre design that can be placed discreetly behind monitors or within desk drawers. These smaller desktops, such as the ThinkCentre M90q Gen 6, are equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and support up to four displays. Optional discrete NPUs with 30 TOPs are also available for protected, on-device AI processing.
The ThinkCentre M Series Gen 6 all-in-one desktops are intended for businesses requiring tidy workspaces and AI performance, with features appropriate for sectors such as healthcare, creative industries, and education. Select models, such as the ThinkCentre M90a Gen 6, provide a 23.8-inch near-edgeless Full HD anti-glare display, 99% sRGB colour accuracy, a 120Hz refresh rate, and certifications for EyeSafe and IP55 water and dust resistance.
Lenovo's new desktops are supplied with proprietary AI tools. These include Lenovo AI Now, an on-device personal assistant, and the Lenovo AI Turbo Engine, which dynamically adjusts system resources to suit current workloads.
The desktops are also supported by ThinkShield security solutions, comprising both hardware and software elements to protect data. Features include a dTPM 2.0 chip to encrypt passwords, BIOS-based Smart USB protection, and individual USB port disablement to guard against unauthorised access.
The ThinkVision T Series Gen 40 monitors are intended to offer professionals a combination of display quality and practical connectivity. The lineup includes WQHD and UHD IPS displays with a 99% sRGB and BT.709 colour gamut. These monitors feature variable refresh rates (from 48-120Hz), which adjust automatically to match on-screen content, supporting both smooth visuals and energy efficiency.
Connectivity on the new monitors is facilitated by a one-cable USB-C solution for docking models and in-built modular VoIP conferencing technologies with AI features on selected units. Several models can provide up to 100W device charging through proprietary technology.
Lenovo stated that sustainability was a key consideration in the monitor lineup, with the ThinkVision T Series Gen 40 monitors comprising 95% post-consumer recycled plastic and plastic-free packaging. The monitors also hold ENERGY STAR, TCO, and EPEAT Gold certifications, reflecting compliance with rigorous environmental standards. IT departments benefit from centralised remote management capabilities via Lenovo Display Fleet Manager, enabling asset management, firmware updates, and configuration changes to be conducted in batches, which helps reduce end-user disruption.
Pricing for the ThinkCentre desktops and ThinkVision monitors varies across the models. The ThinkCentre M90t Gen 6 has an expected starting price of USD $1,039, the M90q Gen 6 starts at USD $989, and the ThinkCentre M90a Gen 6 starts at USD $1,399. For monitors, the ThinkVision T24-40 begins at USD $268, the T27QD-40 at USD $483, and the T34WD-40 at USD $623. Other models within both lineups offer various configurations and pricing tiers to address different enterprise needs.

The studio reported a 20% performance increase thanks to Lenovo's Neptune liquid cooling, which has improved render speeds and allowed for faster iteration in production pipelines. Additionally, the adoption of ThinkStation P620 workstations has produced a 25% performance gain for animation programmes compared to previous systems, resulting in reduced loading times and a more responsive experience for artists. In terms of infrastructure utilisation, DreamWorks experienced 98% data centre usage while generating 300 million compute hours for the production of The Wild Robot, underscoring the capability of Lenovo's infrastructure to support resource-intensive projects. Lenovo's portfolio supporting DreamWorks includes ThinkStation and ThinkPad P Series Workstations, designed to deliver performance required by artists and technical directors, as well as ThinkSystem servers and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for rendering and animation pipelines. Lenovo's TruScale Infrastructure as a Service allows DreamWorks to scale compute resources as needed while avoiding large upfront capital expenditures. The service is tailored to align infrastructure capacity with production timelines and supports proactive monitoring, managed services, and expert support around the clock. In parallel, Lenovo assists DreamWorks with sustainability goals by helping transition to more energy-efficient technologies and retiring outdated systems. DreamWorks also utilises Lenovo Premier Support Plus, which offers 24/7 support, rapid problem resolution, and guidance to keep creative workflows on track and minimise production delays. The Lenovo service model is intended to ensure operational agility for DreamWorks at every stage of production, from daily support needs to critical compute deployments. DreamWorks has relied on Lenovo's computing solutions during intensive productions, notably making use of Neptune liquid cooling for increased data centre performance and energy efficiency. The technology enabled faster workflows and real-time iteration for artists, enhancing both speed and system stability. Lenovo's services have also enabled rapid deployment during scaling processes. For example, an HPC deployment was completed in 1.5 days, instead of the anticipated one week. Custom hardware integration and support were cited as key factors in meeting the studio's production-readiness requirements. This technology infrastructure supports DreamWorks' upcoming film projects, including The Bad Guys 2 scheduled for release in August 2025, Forgotten Island announced for September 2026, and Shrek 5 planned for December 2026. Lenovo's role spans across these projects, supporting both creative and technical demands. Looking to future developments, DreamWorks is working with Lenovo to streamline operational and infrastructure processes, making use of predictive analytics and intelligent workflows supported by AI-optimised infrastructure. The studio clarified that while it does not use AI for imagery generation, it is exploring its potential for improving production pipeline efficiency to provide more opportunities for artists to focus on creative work. Perforce Software has announced the launch of Perforce Intelligence, a new tool designed to integrate artificial intelligence across its DevOps product lines and bridge gaps between security, development, and operations teams. Perforce Intelligence is embedded within the company's continuous testing, infrastructure automation, and diagramming solutions, aiming to help customers save time and costs, expand test coverage, and address data silos that typically exist in technology teams. The integration of AI within existing Perforce products challenges the effectiveness of generic AI approaches. The company is also announcing enhancements to Puppet Enterprise Advanced, which are intended to help teams learn, optimise, and better understand their infrastructure changes without requiring specialist skills in the Puppet language. Jim Mercer, Program Vice President, Software Development, DevOps & DevSecOps at IDC, commented on the complexity of implementing AI successfully in technology teams. He said, "AI is not easy to implement among teams, and we've seen pockets of success but also still a ton of confusion and need for understanding of how and where to embed AI within the DevOps lifecycle. It will be important for companies and institutions to partner with organizations that provide them with high value and low risk when it comes to AI." Perforce Intelligence claims to differentiate from other testing tools by eliminating the need for scripts and frameworks, aiming to simplify the process for teams to deliver secure applications across various platforms or devices. The tool uses visual and contextual validation to ensure applications adapt dynamically without requiring human intervention, reportedly providing customers with 50% efficiency gains and a 20% increase in test coverage, according to the company. Byron Chan, Digital Delivery Quality Assurance Lead at Servus, commented on the product's potential: "We are excited about where this can go. I see tremendous potential because eventually you could come up with test cases in this prompt format before development even starts, and then once developed/deployed, you could potentially avoid manual testing and automation test development because it's already done." Puppet Enterprise Advanced, part of Perforce's infrastructure automation portfolio, will include a new feature in June 2025 called Puppet Infra Assistant. This is a chat interface that enables users to interact with their infrastructure in natural language, providing visibility into configuration, compliance, and operational status without needing specialist skills. Margaret Lee, Manager of Product Management for Perforce Puppet, highlighted the role of natural language AI: "Puppet has a trove of data to help customers make smarter decisions, but we haven't previously had the means to make it readily accessible for Puppet stakeholders or adjacent teams – like security and development teams - who would really benefit from it. Natural language AI unlocked this potential." "Teams can quickly and easily understand what's happening, make meaningful decisions, and take action to align with their desired business outcomes. Early customers have responded very positively, with one noting that a task that used to take three hours now takes seconds with Puppet Infra Assistant." Perforce Puppet is positioned as an infrastructure automation solution designed to streamline operations, improve security and compliance, and enhance visibility across varying infrastructure environments. For software diagramming, Gliffy, Perforce's diagramming platform for Confluence, now incorporates AI to accelerate the creation of sequence and class diagrams, with the company stating this makes the process three times faster and helps teams represent complex concepts more efficiently. Looking ahead, Perforce outlined several upgrades planned for 2025 as part of the broader Perforce Intelligence roadmap. These include advances for creative workflow acceleration, the provision of compliant and masked data for AI and machine learning projects, maintenance-free testing automation approaches that remove legacy scripting, and agent-to-agent orchestration for infrastructure change management and ongoing compliance.

According to Nintex, Solution Studio is intended to streamline operations by reducing reliance on multiple disconnected software applications, giving IT and business teams the ability to centralise their workflows using AI-powered low-code automation technology. In addition to the new portal, Nintex also introduced its latest pre-built solution, Nintex Employee Onboarding, designed to automate the coordinated tasks carried out by hiring managers, HR, finance, and IT to support the integration of new employees. Industry observers emphasise the potential impact of such solutions on workplace efficiency. Maureen Fleming, Program VP, Worldwide Intelligent Process Automation Market Research and Advisory Service at IDC, said: "Organisations continue to manage many business processes manually or with a mix of disconnected software solutions, which is hindering their ability to drive efficiency and productivity. Custom solutions built on top of a process automation platform provide mid-market businesses and departments within enterprise organisations with a simple interface that allows them to easily solve complex business challenges without manual processes and multiple pieces of software." With organisations focusing on improving operational efficiency, there has been an increased demand for IT teams to consolidate technology investments and replace standard software with bespoke, business-specific applications. Historically, developing such solutions proved to be costly and resource-intensive. Nintex states that Solution Studio provides several features aimed at simplifying the development and management of automation tools. We see a lot of opportunities and business cases in the marketplace for Solution Studio since it accelerates implementation of solutions to complex processes." Automating critical, cross-functional business processes such as employee onboarding can present challenges relating to limited IT resources, development costs, and lengthy deployment. Nintex argues that pre-built solutions are a viable approach to overcome these hurdles, facilitating faster and more tailored implementations for specific use cases. The Licensing and Permitting solution focuses on digital transformation for the public sector by streamlining complex permitting processes, thereby improving experiences for citizens and businesses, and reducing manual tasks for government staff.
