An apple-barrelful of controversy surrounds this amiable live-action version of Disney's animated fairytale. There's a revised plot that gives the sleeping princess more agency; the casting of Rachel Zegler, an outspoken advocate for Palestinian rights, as the lead alongside the Israeli actor Gal Gadot as the evil queen; and those seven dwarves. Instead of casting actors, the dwarves are CGI versions of the originals, and the songs from 1937 are still wonderfully whistle-worthy. Simon Wardell

Nov. 12, 1996 A Saudi Arabian airlines Boeing 747 taking off from the airport in Delhi collided in midair with an arriving Kazakhstan Airline flight, killing all 349 people on both planes. It was one of the deadliest crashes in aviation history. April 26, 1993 An Indian Airlines 737-200 hit a truck beyond the runway while taking off and crashed soon after in the city of Aurangabad, killing 55 of the 118 people on board.

Race Across the World sisters 'happy' with finale

The duo finished their 8,700 miles (14,000km) journey from China to India just 19 minutes after the Season Five winners, mother and son pair Caroline and Tom said: "We really pushed ourselves towards the end and we were so determined. We're really happy with the result anyway. " She added: "We are just proud of ourselves and it was such a big accomplishment."The programme saw five pairs of contestants race from Great Wall of China, north of Bejing, and Kanniyakumari, the southernmost tip of India, in a bid to win £20, pair had to pass seven checkpoints on a £1,140 budget and were banned from using air the sisters say they are going to celebrate the experience by travelling at an entirely different pace. Elizabeth said: "We'd like to take a holiday, just relax, something chill, not in race mode." Elizabeth and Letitia say their adventure has helped them grow closer as sisters. Elizabeth said: "Being in the experience and being in different countries - you need someone to share that with. "I'm glad I was able to share that with my sister." Despite narrowly missing out, the five couples still stay in touch via group chat and meet up said: "We're looking forward to another reunion."

Dreamliner planes had clean safety record until Ahmedabad crash
No Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft had crashed until the Ahmedabad incident. The aircraft type, which entered service in 2011, is described by the US manufacturer as 'the bestselling passenger widebody of all time' with more than 2,000 orders from 89 customers. The planes have carried more than one billion passengers on nearly five million flights. Air India has 34 of the aircraft in its fleet, according to aviation analysts Cirium. The jet is flown by a number of other airlines serving the UK, such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Tui Airways. It increases fuel efficiency by up to 25% compared with the planes it replaces, largely because of modern engines, using lightweight materials and improved aerodynamics. Recent concerns over the safety of Boeing aircraft have generally related to its 737 Max aircraft. A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Ethiopian Airlines caught fire while parked at Heathrow airport with no passengers onboard in 2013. An investigation found the fire was probably caused by a short circuit. India is one of the world's fastest growing markets for passenger flights. The country has witnessed a number of deadly crashes. Pilot error was blamed for a crash involving an Air India Express plane carrying 190 people in the southern state of Kerala in August 2020. Twenty-one people were killed. In May 2010, some 158 people died when an Air India plane flying from Dubai overshot the runway and crashed into a gorge while attempting to land in the southern city of Mangaluru.
