Trump's New Streaming Service Truth+ Is a Conspiracy Theorist's Dream Come True
No one would fault you for not knowing that Donald Trump's 'technology' company, Trump Media and Technology Group, has a streaming service. But now that you do know that, aren't you curious what is on it? Lucky for you, a recent report from Talking Points Memo dug into the content over on Truth+ and it is every bit as batshit as you were probably imaging.
Truth+ appears to be big on two things: religion and conspiracy theories. That seems like it is right in line with the MAGA crowd's hobbies, but these conspiracies seem to be less of the 'Trump had the election stolen from him' variety and more of the 'Jesus Christ was a secret alien' kind. No, really.
Per TPM, one of the films on the platform is called 'Conspiracy Chronicles,' and it throws some incredible claims out there, including the possibility that Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna were all from a different planet. It also apparently claims that the Moon is 'hollowed out' and serves as a base for aliens. Are they the same aliens sending us our most revered religious figures? Hard to say. What is clear, per the film, is that the US government has been covering all of this up. Luckily, the guy who runs the streaming service spewing these theories now has the power to debrief all that information! Surely he will, right?
It's only one of many films on the platform that are all in on out-there claims. Another, titled 'Lizard People: Rulers of Time and Space,' claims that there is a race of lizard-like aliens who created humans and developed religious systems to control them. Frankly, it's kinda wild how close these things get to acknowledging some form of reality (organized religion being used as a means of control, for instance) only to swerve and blame it on aliens instead of like, people who desire power and wealth. There are actual explanations for these things, but the only way for them to be digestible to a certain crowd is for those explanations to have some sort of otherworldiness sprinkled on top.
Now, it would be fair to say that every streaming service has its fair share of bonkers titles that end up available through wide-reaching rights deals, and no one is actually watching them. And there are likely very few people watching Truth+ in general. But those who do are apparently eating up these conspiracies. TPM reported that the 'Lizard People' movie was in the top 10 on the platform this week.
That programming doesn't exactly seem in line with the 'news, Christian content, and family-friendly programming that is uncancellable by Big Tech' that Trump's company promised when it launched the streaming platform last year. But maybe the Bible had more to say about serpents than just that snake in the Garden of Eden.

A shadowdrop could be arriving tomorrow, or our eternal vigil may never end. It's either the final 24 hours, or time has no meaning anymore. One thing's for certain: SteamDB has some updates. In addition to the updates released earlier this week, which included achievement data for multiple languages, Silksong has had support for Windows, Mac, and Linux added, visible via SteamDB. At the time of writing, Silksong's minimum requirements don't list Mac or Linux as possible platforms, however, Steam does provide support for them, and developers can prep their store pages to send out platform-specific packages. As always, the Silksong subreddit is being delightfully normal about the news. In one thread, you can even see the ever-cynical doubters (we're well past the point of tribalistic factions) starting to crack. "FUCK MY FLAIR SILKSONG TOMORROW," roars one frantic switcher. "I... CANT... DENY... IT... ANY... LONGER!" writes another, with the tone of the Incredible Hulk swelling out of his shirt. On one hand, it is mighty suspicious that the games' Steam page would receive such a ferocious flurry of updates—seven in total, including this one—before Summer Game Fest. With a bevvy of announcements to come, the idea that Team Cherry's doing some preparatory updating before finally releasing the dang thing isn't entirely out of the question. On the other hand, a few SteamDB updates aren't substantial proof of anything if you aren't scrabbling for every scrap of hope you can. Almost no game since Elden Ring has had this much feverish hype built up behind it and, in a way, the cultish chanting is outstripping what Silksong is likely bound to be: A very good metroidvania. Which, given I've played several since Hollow Knight, is only saying so much. If Team Cherry does do the funniest thing it can and shadowdrop Silksong in a manner of hours, it'll mark the end to all doubting and hoping, all coping and copium. No more daily Silksong news, no more crossed fingers, no more Silkposts. Bait used to be believable, but if it's the dawn of the final day, it shall be absent entirely. Billy Bob Thornton Reflects on Reuniting with 'Hero' Sam Elliott for ‘Landman'
Filming for Landman Season 2 is well underway, and Billy Bob Thornton can hardly contain his excitement, not just for the plot, but who he gets to work with in the latest installment of the fan-favorite Taylor Sheridan series. In a May 2025 interview with Gold Derby, Billy Bob, who plays Tommy Norris on the show, revealed that he hopes to be working with Taylor and co. for the foreseeable future. "[Landman] is a show I'd like to work on for a while; I told Taylor, I said 'As long as you want me around, I'm here for this,'' he shares. 'I really love the show. I love doing it, I love playing this character, and I love the people I work with. Not only the cast, but the crew also is just stellar.' One Season 2 castmate, in particular, stands out.
