The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 4 for admission in medical colleges across the country. Around 22 lakh students from all over the country took part in NEET (UG) exam 2025. According to students, this year's paper was completely different. The level of questions in Chemistry and Physics was difficult. While some students described the paper as easy, while many described it as difficult compared to previous years and completely different from the sample paper.
According to media reports, the result of NEET UG 2025 will likely be announced in the second week of June. Looking at past year trends, in 2024, the exam was held on May 5 and the result was declared on June 4. While in 2023, the medical entrance exam was conducted on May 7 and results were out on June 13.
Meanwhile, due to rain, power went off in many areas of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, after which the candidates gave the exam in emergency lights and candlelights. Candidates also protested outside some centres regarding this. Power went off during the NEET exam in Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Indore, after which about 600 candidates had to give the exam in candlelight. Due to darkness in the rooms, many students had difficulty in reading the questions.
A student, Kinjal Gupta, told the media that she missed answering many questions due to darkness in the room. Power went off three to four times during the NEET exam in the government school located in Scheme 78. After which the candidates protested against it, then emergency bulbs were arranged by Principal Shabana Sheikh, but due to low charging, these bulbs could be lit only for 10 minutes and here too, the applicants had to give the paper in the dark.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, NBEMS has released revised schedule for NEET PG 2025 exam. Candidates who want to appear for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test can download the revised schedule on the official website of NBEMS at As per the revised schedule, the NEET PG examination will be held in a single shift on August 3, 2025, as directed by the Supreme Court. To accommodate all the candidates in Single Shift, NEET-PG will now be conducted in more cities. Therefore, all the candidates will have to re-submit their choice of exam city. The application form for choosing the exam city will be available from June 13 to June 17, 2025. During submission of the online application form, candidate will be able to see only those cities where testing seats are available. The allotment of venue in the chosen Exam City will be done by exact venue will be informed to the candidates through admit cards. The Candidates shall make their own arrangement for travel/boarding etc. However, the selection of exam city by the candidates will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The edit window will open on June 20 and will close on June 22, 2025. The exam city details will be informed to the candidates on July 21, 2025 and the admit card will be issued on July 31, 2025. The NEET PG exam will be held on August 3 from 9 am to 12.30 pm. The result for the same will be announced on September 3, 2025. UGC NET June 2025 exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the exam dates for the UGC NET 2025 June session and released the subject-wise schedule for the NTA UGC NET 2025 June session on its official website According to the official release, the exam will begin on 25 June 2025 and will conclude on 29 June 2025. Earlier, it was supposed to start from 21 June. The notice further mentioned that NTA will notify about the City of Exam Centre on its website prior to 10 days of the UGC NET June Exam 2025. The exam will be held in two shifts- first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will begin on 25 June 2025 and will conclude on 29 June 2025. As per the details, the Test paper will consist of two sections, both of which will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. During the exam, there will be no break between the papers. Paper 1 will comprise 100-mark questions, and Paper II will comprise 200-mark questions. Except for language papers, the medium of the Question Paper shall be English and Hindi only.
