A delegation representing Kurdish forces which control northeast Syria is to meet the new administration, Syrian media reported on Saturday, a day after the Israeli enemy launched strikes targeting Latakia and Trtus in the Arb country's northwest.
Kurdish media reported that Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) delegation is en route to Damascus to discuss the future of northern Syria with head of the new administration Ahmad Al-Sharaa's government.

Abdi in March signed a deal with Al-Sharaa to incorporate the semi-autonomous administration of northeast Syria into the main state institutions based in Damascus.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation army carried out airstrikes in Latakia and Tartus in northwestern Syria late on Friday, targeting alleged 'storage facilities' containing 'missiles,' resulting in one fatality and property damage.

One civilian was martyred in the strikes that targeted an area between the villages of Zama and Burj Islam in southern Latakia, while another targeted the outskirts of Tartus port, causing property damage.
The Israeli enemy has attacked sites in Syria multiple times since the ouster of former President Bashar Al-Assad in December. Occupation forces have taken large swaths of Syria's south including the Syrian controlled Golan Heights which also includes the strategic Mount Hermon.

Egypt, Qatar Reaffirm Intensive Efforts to Reach Ceasefire in Gaza

Egypt and Qatar issued a joint statement Sunday reaffirming their commitment to advancing ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, based on a proposal put forward by US envoy Steve Witkoff. 'The Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Qatar continue their intensive efforts to bridge gaps and overcome sticking points to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, based on the US proposal,' the statement read. Both countries, in coordination with the United States, expressed their intention to intensify efforts to resolve obstacles facing the talks. They also called on all parties to act responsibly and support the mediators' efforts to end the crisis and restore stability to the region. The statement expressed hope for a swift agreement on a 60-day temporary truce, leading to a permanent ceasefire. Such a step would allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, ease the suffering of Palestinians, and pave the way for full reconstruction in line with the emergency Arab summit plan approved in Cairo on March 4, 2025 – per the statement. Nearly 20 months into the war, negotiations for a ceasefire and a deal to free the captives have failed to produce a breakthrough. Since the last brief truce collapsed in March, 'Israel' has intensified its aggression on Gaza. Hamas said on Saturday it had responded positively to the latest US-backed truce proposal, but US envoy Steve Witkoff criticised the response as 'totally unacceptable', an assessment echoed by 'Israel'. Senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mardawi said Sunday that the 'amendments we requested are identical… to what had been previously agreed upon with the American mediator'. Witkoff had urged the group to 'accept the framework proposal we put forward'. At least 49 Palestinians were killed and over 305 others wounded Sunday morning in a new massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces near an aid distribution center west of Rafah in southern Gaza.

General Saree Announces Missile Strikes on Ben Gurion Airport, Enemy Targets in Tel Aviv, Ashdod and Eilat

The missile force of Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a specific military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied area of Jaffa (Tel Aviv) using a hypersonic ballistic missile, according to a statement read by the military spokesman General Yahya Saree. The operation comes in the context of supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and their Mujahideen, and in rejection of the crime of genocide perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against the people in the Gaza Strip, General Saree said. The operation has successfully achieved its objective, causing millions of herds of usurping Zionists to flee to shelters and halting airport operations, General Saree added. The UAV force of Yemeni Armed Forces carried out three military operations targeting three vital Israeli enemy targets in the areas of Yaffa, Ashdod, and Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) in the occupied Palestine using three drones, he noted. The Yemeni Armed Forces, after successfully imposing a partial ban on air traffic at Lod Airport, are working, with Allah's help, to impose a complete ban on air traffic at the aforementioned airport during the coming period, Saree warned. General Saree warned the remaining airlines that have not yet complied with the ban to take this into consideration to preserve the safety of their aircraft and customers. 'Our operations, with trust in Allah and reliance on Allah, will not cease until the aggression against our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip stops and the siege on them is lifted.' Israeli media outlets had reported on Sunday that sirens sounded heavily in occupied Al-Quds and Tel Aviv after a ballistic missile fire from Yemen, pushing millions of settlers into the basements.
