ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man was arrested after a traffic stop led to a drug bust on Wednesday, according to the Anne Arundel Police Department.
Police said officers pulled over a gray Toyota Tacoma for displaying a stolen license plate at 2 p.m. on Tanyard Springs Lane near Mockingbird Circle in Glen Burnie.

During the stop, officers seized seven grams of suspected crack cocaine packaged for distribution, 22 grams of suspected powder cocaine packaged for distribution, over $400 in cash, and the stolen license plate.
The driver, Oscar Armando Guardado-Garcia, 38, was taken into custody.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A search at a Franklin County apartment in May led to the seizure of multiple 'ghost guns' and drugs, charging documents show. Charges were filed Wednesday against Giovanie Alvira-Garcia, 33, of Chambersburg, after detectives searched an apartment in the 1000 block of SummerBridge Court in Guilford Township on May 20, according to charges filed by the Franklin County Drug Task Force. 400+ bags of marijuana seized after high-speed I-78 chase The charges show two 9mm 'ghost gun' pistols that had no serial numbers were found inside the apartment, along with cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy pills, marijuana, and packaging material. 'A 'ghost gun' is a homemade firearm assembled from unfinished gun frames and receivers, often purchased from companies that sell gun parts or parts kits that buyers can use to construct firearms at home, according to Brian Zeiger's firm's website. Alvira-Garcia was sitting inside a vehicle on the property when he was taken into custody after the apartment was searched, the criminal complaint shows. He faces four felony charges of manufacture, deliver, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, and two felony charges of possession of a firearm prohibited. WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a series of armed robberies that prosecutors said targeted construction workers in the Trinidad neighborhood. The U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia said that Franco Rawlings Jr., 24, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He pleaded guilty in August 2024 to the charges. He stole the victim's wallet, which had $700 inside. On May 30, 2023, Rawlings and the co-conspirator approached two victims installing a deck in the 1300 block of Montello Ave. NE. They 'forced the victims into the basement, then to the ground at gunpoint.' The pair robbed the victims and then left. On June 27, 2023, Rawlings and the co-conspirator once again approached construction workers in Northeast D.C. Prosecutors said that they confronted three workers who were remodeling a home in the 1100 block of Owen Pl. NE. Rawlings was armed with a gun and ordered the victims to raise their hands. The duo stole money from the victims before escaping. HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A Dubois County man was arrested following a road rage incident. A release from the Indiana State Police says troopers were called to I-64 near the 21 mile-marker in Vanderburgh County at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The release goes on to say a driver was traveling east on I-64 in a utility truck and was passing a black Toyota Tacoma when the driver of that Tacoma allegedly pointed a handgun toward the other driver. Troopers in the area say they were able to the driver of the Toyota Tacoma near the 45 mile-marker in Warrick County. The driver was identified as 69-year-old Allan Mesmer of Dubois County. Troopers say Mesmer had a 9 mm handgun in his possession. The magazine for the handgun was full, but it was not loaded. No one was injured in the incident.
