She was eventually found slumped on a pavement by local Piero Villanueva, who briefly met her in Lima and managed to track her down.
Posting a smiling selfie of the pair overnight, Piero confirmed he found the Brit from Grimsby.
In an interview with a local TV station, he described how Hannah recognised him and broke down in tears before agreeing to leave with him.
He said: "I have just found her. She is safe and well. I'd like to thank the authorities and the people who contacted me so I could help her.
"Hannah recognised me and approached me crying and I asked her to leave with me. Thanks God she's safe."
Piero had been liaising with the British Consul and Hannah's friends in a WhatsApp group, coordinating efforts to track her down.
He searched late into the night on Saturday after she was last seen near Cusco's San Pedro market.
He said: 'We searched from 7pm until 3am, and again on Sunday.'

Piero added that one of Hannah's friends was flying into Cusco from the UK to support her as the Brit is too terrified to trust anyone offering help.

A GoFundMe page set up to help bring Hannah home confirmed she had been found thanks to the massive online effort.
A friend wrote: "Due to the help of everyone sharing the story, Hannah has thankfully been found and one of her friends is on the way to Cusco to persuade her to accept support and come home.
"We know she has been refusing help due to the complexity of her mental health, so it is most likely that she will need to be placed into psychiatric care before getting a flight back.
"This is an ongoing process but we are doing all we can to bring her back safely."
Pal Sophie Wallace revealed the fashion graduate had travelled to Peru in March "hoping for an adventure" but ended up in a "terrifying and heartbreaking situation".
She said: "She was robbed and assaulted, losing her passport, phone, and all of her money.
"Since then Hannah's mental health, something she has long struggled with, has severely declined.
"She is now in the midst of a mental health crisis, living under a bridge with a homeless man she befriended — the only person she currently trusts."
Attempts to get her help through the embassy or police had failed, with Sophie adding: "She is extremely vulnerable, isolated, and not safe living on the streets of Peru."

Fears for her safety deepened after she had her belongings burned and was evicted from her makeshift shelter under the Belén Bridge.
Mark Atkinson, the British Consul in Peru, said Hannah had arrived in Cusco in March and had not intended to overstay her visa.
He revealed her immigration status was now "in limbo".
He said that before she vanished, the embassy had offered support — including hotel stays and food — but she kept returning to sleep under the same bridge.
Local media reports say she is now 'being cared for and accompanied' and that repatriation procedures are underway.
Piero had spoken just hours before finding her about why he felt compelled to act.
"I met Hannah in Lima where I come from," he said.
"I decided to travel to Cusco at the request of her friends and family after seeing her situation online — she was sleeping under a bridge."
He added: 'She didn't have money or documents after being robbed.
"She was a victim of the insecurity in Cusco."

Brothers deny killing commuter as he walked home from tube station 41 years ago
Two brothers accused of murdering a man as he walked home 41 years ago in North London have denied accusations of murder. Anthony Littler, 45, died from 'catastrophic' head injuries after he was found in an alleyway near East Finchley Tube station in north London onMay 1, 1984. Police and ambulance services were called at around 12:15 am, but Mr Littler died at the scene. Michael Stewart, 56, and Anthony Stewart, 59, appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday through video link at HMP Belmarsh and denied murder. Prosecutor Abigail Husbands earlier said: 'Mr Anthony Littler left East Finchley tube station at just after quarter past midnight. 'Having left the station, he set off on a short walk to his nearby home address, where he lived alone. 'His route took him along an enclosed alleyway. Just over three-quarters of the way along that alleyway, he was violently attacked and sustained a fatal head injury.' Mr Littler suffered two blows to the head. He was discovered lying on the ground a few minutes later by passersby who called emergency services. Ms Husbands added: 'By the time of the paramedic's arrival, he had already died, his head wound having bled profusely at the scene.' The prosecutor said there have been four investigations, with the first investigation in 1984 and 1985 leading to no suspects or arrests. The current investigation began in 2019. Michael Stewart, of Station Road, New Barnet, and Anthony Stewart, of Old Farm Road, Finchley, deny murder. DCI Neil John, leading the investigation, said the case was reviewed in 1993, 2013 and in 2023. More Trending Their six-week trial will begin on April 14 next year Mr Littler's cousin, Tricia McClure, previously said: 'Anthony was a lovely, kind and gentle man who wouldn't have hurt anyone. 'It is heartbreaking to our family that this happened to him. After all this time, we hope this new investigation puts those responsible behind bars. Body of missing UK hiker found in Italian Alps after vanishing on New Year's Day
Aziz Ziriat, 36, vanished during a hiking trip in the Italian Dolomites with pal Samuel Harris, 35 - Samuel's body was found back in January but Aziz's remains were found on Saturday The body of a Brit who went missing on New Year's Day while hiking in the Italian Dolomites has been found. Aziz Ziriat, 36, from London went missing alongside his friend Samuel Harris, 25, at the beginning of the year. A massive search was launched after the pair were not heard from since January 1, reports the Mirror. His body was found this morning and the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue team are now working to recover his remains. The pair were known to have been near the town of Tione Di Trento, near Riva Del Garda, on Lake Garda, before they vanished. The alarm was raised after the pair stopped responding to messages and failed to get on their flight back to the UK on January 6. Samuel's body was tragically found back in January, after his body had been buried under metres of deep snow. The search for the pair was complicated by poor weather conditions and heavy snow at high altitudes. Search teams discovered items belonging to Aziz, including his mobile phone and a card, not far from his friends body, in January. Despite this, the dozens of rescuers involved in the search were not able to find the 36-year-old at the time. Rescuers were hopeful the snow melting in the spring and summer would aid the search for Aziz. The operation to find his body is being coordinated by the Italian Guardia di Finanza and is ongoing. The pair had travelled to The Dolomites to hike between huts in the mountain range for a New Year's trip abroad. After the initial search for the friends began, Aziz's girlfriend described the pair as "experienced hikers", but revealed she had last spoken to her boyfriend at around 10am on New Year's Day. Rebecca Dimmock also shared her boyfriend's last messages to her before the pair were not heard from again. In January, she said: "He sent some photos of the mountains and a couple of himself. He said his phone was about to die but he would write back to me properly soon." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! She also revealed more details about the friends' hiking plans. Rebecca added: "I know they made it to the hut, and they were drinking red wine, but he said it was freezing." A video, at the time, showed Aziz preparing to hike the mountain range on New Year's Day with Samuel. He filmed the mountain range he planned to scale and a shelter it was believed the pair stayed overnight. Aziz had worked for Crystal Palace at the club's official Palace For Life charity. The Premier League club put out a post to appeal for information when he initially went missing.
