Fans are now concerned that Isabella Brown, the young actress who plays Lexi, has left the show.
Lexi is the daughter of Ben Mitchell and the late Lola Pearce and is approaching her 13th birthday in EastEnders.
Die-hard soap fans are now wondering if Lexi will return "with a different head", as many of the child stars have over the years.
Writing on Reddit, one EastEnders viewer said: "Anyone know what's happening with Lexi? She hasn't been seen since the 40th anniversary and was rather absent prior to that too.
"Lexi is 13 next month. The same age as Lily was when she gave birth."
They added: "With only 9 appearances this year I wouldn't be shocked to see her return with a new head."
Replying, another fan agreed: "Looks wise the actress reminds me a lot of the old Amy Mitchell so I wonder if they'll recast her soon to someone more older/ older looking."
A third chimed in: "I think as Lexi is nearly 13 she should be part of the friendship group with Tommy, Ricky, Denzel, Nugget, Avani , Amy, Lilly and Will.
"Also they seem to have forgotten Amy, Ricky and Barney are her cousins so it's weird they hardly hang out and a while back they were developing a friendship between her and Amy too."
And a fourth added: "I hope she doesn't get recast. She's a great actress and it's nice to see a realistic looking teenager.
BBC EastEnders fans break down in tears at Lexi Mitchell's gesture to dying mum Lola Pearce
"Most of the teens are played by adults and even the likes of Lily who is only 16 irl I feel always looked a bit older (which obviously isn't her fault, some teens do look older which is realistic but not literally all of them.)."
This is not the first time fans have been left scratching their heads over Lexi's lack of on-screen appearances.
In December last year, EastEnders viewers raised identical concerns following another long absence.
It came after a huge storyline, which saw Lexi's mum Lola - played by Danielle Harold - tragically die from an untreatable brain tumour.
Lexi's dad Ben - Max Bowden - then ended up in prison for fraud.
Lexi did, however, return to the BBC One soap and featured in February's huge EastEnders 40th Anniversary Week.
Isabella Brown's agent had previously confirmed that she would continue to play Lexi "throughout 2025".
A post on EJC Management's Instagram in December said: "So very proud of this young lady!
"Our incredible ISABELLA BROWN will continue to play the brilliant Lexi Pearce throughout 2025 in @bbceastenders ⭐️
"Isabella joined the square 6 years ago and seeing her grow as an actress is such a joy! Her dedication, drive, professionalism and work ethic is so inspiring from someone so young.
"She has had some amazing storylines and we can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for Lexi!"

EastEnders fans go wild as they 'work out' icon's soap return after 'huge clue'
Monday night is set to be a huge night in EastEnders for Ben Wadey's first episode in charge and fans have 'worked out' which huge character could be returning to the soap After Chris Clenshaw's final episode aired last night, EastEnders were left with some very exciting news. On Monday - to mark Ben Wadey's first episode, the soap will simulcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm. The last time this happened was during the 40th anniversary live week in Feburary - so fans can expect something big. But that's not all, to go alongside the announcement, EastEnders released a promo video of a door opening on the Square with the caption: "Knock Knock. Who's there?" Fans now believe there's a huge return for one character, and they think they've 'worked out' who. Along with the announcement, new Executive Producer Ben Wadey teased: 'Next week marks the start of something big in Walford that we hope will get everyone talking, and it's only just the beginning. We've got twists, shocks, and plenty of drama lined up for a summer you don't want to miss.' In the promo video, the door that opens has number 14 on it. Could this be a huge clue? Many fans seem to think so. Taking to the Instagram post, one fan questioned: "What's the 14 significance?!" One penned: "Searched who left 14 years ago and it was Jim Branning, who unfortunately cannot return. Butttttttt Tanya Branning left 14 years ago too so I think it's the return of OSCAR BRANNING," as another wrote: "Max and Oscar." Recently, pictures were released of a grown boy filming with Lauren, with many believing it was Oscar. Jake Wood has also been rumoured to make a return as the iconic, troubled Max Branning – could it be as soon as Monday? Others were certain it was Max returning, as one penned: "Max did 14 years if you minus his gap year," with a third simply writing: "Max is back!" Spoilers for Monday reveal Alfie receives a phone call from Stacey Slater - although no context was given. No EastEnders fan could ever forget the infamous affair between Max and Stacey – so could it link to this? However, other fans believe it could be the return of Zoe Slater, following Kat and Alfie's big day. It was recently reported that Michelle Ryan would be reprising her role as Zoe, and fans think now is the perfect time. "I have a feeling that this will either be a Zoe Slater return or a Max Branning return. Either way it's going to be big," wrote one, as another said: "Zoe return? Would tie in with Kat and Alfie getting married the previous day. Not sure where she's supposed to be at the moment but maybe missed her flight or something and was planning a surprise wedding appearance." "The spoilers for the 16th, says that Alfie is hiding something, and Kat & Alfie have just got married. So I guess it's Zoe returning on Monday," penned another. Many theories have been floating around about Zoe's return with some believing she could be Joel Marshall's mum. Will Max or Zoe be making their return? Or will it be someone, or something, else? Fans will have to wait until 7:30pm on Monday to find out...

The post was met with a plethora of comments from fans encouraging her potential new romance, with both Danniella and Chasa responding with red heart emojis. Days later, the TV star hinted that the romance was getting serious on Instagram where she shared snaps from her Greek getaway with Chasa. This was confirmed by Chasa himself, who wrote on Instagram: 'Sometimes that one friend is just too good to let go.' They also shared loved-up, smiley snaps of the pair enjoying a coffee, captioning the post: 'Perfect end to the night ❤️ the pictures tell the story.' One again fans were quick to share their support and excitement for the blossoming relationship, with one writing: 'I've not seen you too so happy in a long time long may it continue love to you both.' While another shared: 'You both look so happy need to wife that one up bro', with Chasa responding with a heart and clapping emoji. In another loved up post, Danniella praised 'best friend' Chasa for accepting her past and building her up, adding that together they'll make 'dreams come true' Later during the holiday, Chasa confirmed to his Instagram followers that he had asked Danniella to be his girlfriend, with the Sam Mitchell star writing in the comments that it was the 'easiest yes I've ever said.' They've since shared a plethora of romantic pictures and videos as they've continued to see each other, with the pair enjoying dates at the likes of Canvey Island and a safari. In another loved up post, Danniella praised 'best friend' Chasa for accepting her past and building her up, adding that together they'll make 'dreams come true'. Last week, Danniella marked seven years since she first met Chasa as she noted that they'd continued a friendship throughout that time before finally getting together. She penned: 'Seven years ago you walked into a pub in Croydon to watch the football and walked straight into me. And we spoke and laughed all night share chocolate brownies and our fate was sealed... '7 years of chats and texts and seeing each other through some dark days via dms .. we always said one day it will happen, what's meant to be won't pass us by… And here we are finally together and living the life we always wanted together. We saved the best for last and it was definitely worth the wait . #andtheylivedhappilyeverafter ❤️.' Chasa responded in the comments: 'We have had some time together, Girl thank you for this means the world may it continue ❤️ you're a special one with a heart of gold. I say it loud. I say I'm proud. X.' MailOnline recently reported that Danniella has finally found her 'soulmate' and is planning to marry the bare-knuckle boxer who 'doesn't judge her'. Danniella, who rose to fame on EastEnders, is in a 'love bubble' with 'Chasa Real Talk', following her highly publicised personal struggles. She is even said to be planning additional surgery to get herself looking her best ahead of what could be her third marriage. The former Celebrity Big Brother star [pictured on CBB in 2016] is in a 'love bubble' with 'Chasa Real Talk', following her highly publicised personal struggles An insider told OK! magazine: 'Danniella feels that she's found her soulmate. Chasa doesn't judge her one bit and doesn't care what has happened in her past. 'He understands all about the issues she's been through but is supportive – he just wants to make her happy. 'She's really smitten and feels like she can trust him, which is a really big deal for her.' Chasa, whose boxing name is the 'Croydon Bomber', is no stranger to the limelight even without Danniella and is signed to Conor McGregor's Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. He has also publicly spoken about his own addiction issues, revealing that drugs had led him 'down a dark road'. However, he is reported to have been in recovery now for several years. It comes as Chasa showed his support for Danniella as she prepared to get her face 'rebuilt' during 'very long surgery'. The former EastEnders actress has in the past undergone various reconstructive operations in a bid to fix her 'collapsing' face due to her previous cocaine addiction and osteoporosis. In 2023, she admitted that she hated the results of the facial reconstruction she had that year, having up until that point waited seven years to find a surgeon willing to do the operation due to the condition of her septum. And taking to Instagram on Thursday, Danniella shared an image of herself clad in a hospital gown while new boyfriend Chasa Symonds held her hand, noting that it was a 'big day' for her as she prepared to go under the knife once again. She penned: 'Big day for me heading down for a very long surgery right now to rebuild my face. Then I can get back to work and we can get on with our life together @chasarealtal. I love you x.' In another story, she expressed her love for her partner amid his support for her after he expressed on Instagram how 'proud' her was of her amid her impending operation. Danniella wrote: 'Thank you babe, you have been beside me every step of the way, see you when I wake up xxx.' Meanwhile, boxer Chasa uploaded a video in which he praised the soap star amid her upcoming procedure. Speaking into the camera, he said: 'Just want to say thank you to everyone for the support towards Danniella. This is something that she wanted to do for herself, it's been a long time coming. 'I love her for her, I met her for her.. She's beautiful inside and out. This is something she wants to do for herself.' Remarking on the trolling she's received, he continued: 'She's changed her mobile number, I'm going through the messages on Instagram before she sees them, deleting and blocking the haters, it's what we've got to do.' Getting back to her surgery, Chasa went on: 'It's exciting times, it's gonna be a long day. She will update you when she's ready, it's down to her. I'm not here to speak about anything or talk about anything, that's her. So just from me and from Danniella, thank you all for the supportive messages, we love you and she'll be back to you very soon. It's gonna be a long day!' Captioning his post, alongside the sentiments included in his video, Chasa also shared a powerful message which read: 'Be thoughtful, remember everybody can slip in life it's how you come back. Don't put someone down, bring them up if you can.' Danniella's happiness with Chasa comes after she's struggled to find long-lasting love with former flames. She previously dated East 17's Brian Harvey from 1991-1995, with Danniella recently revealing she was left completely broken by their high profile split. In BBC documentary Boybands Forever, the actress revealed that Brian's manager at the time, Tom Watkins, had urged her to split from the lead singer or it 'wouldn't end well' for her because he 'always wins'. But the star explained that they were in love and were trying to make it work but following the intense media scrutiny, the they were forced to go their separate ways. Daniella then revealed that the breakdown of their relationship sent her over the edge and increased her drug use in an attempt to cope with feeling 'broken'. She then went on to have a relationship with car dealer Robert Fernandez, with whom she welcomed son Kai with in November 1996. They split in 1998. Danniella has been married twice before - her first marriage was to van driver Ben Morgan in 1998, but they divorced nine months later. In 2001, the star married businessman Kevin Jenkins, almost four months after the birth of their daughter Jodie. They divorced in 2020. Following the end of her second marriage, the TV personality went on to have short-lived flings with the likes of Tom Richards, George Arnold and Alan Thomason. Danniella previously believed she had found the one with her jailbird fiancé David, with whom she had a seven-year on-off relationship. After a previous split, Danniella confirmed in August 2023 that the pair's romance was back on and was even snapped trying on wedding dresses amid their engagement, David, who was 20 years her junior, was reportedly serving time in prison for counterfeit goods and engaging in various physical altercations. However, while it's not confirmed when they ended their relationship for good, it seems that Danniella has well and truly moved on with new love Chasa. With the duo loved up and with rumours about marriage floating around, it seems as though Danniella has finally found her happily ever after.
