Will GemFest on Herefordshire-Wales border go ahead?

An application for a licence for GemFest, an 'eclectic range of electronic dance music' over the weekend between June 13 and 16, spanning the river Monnow near the hamlet of Walterstone, had been due to be decided on by Herefordshire Council's licensing committee last week (April 17).
The council has since confirmed the application has been withdrawn.
A similar application had been before Monmouthshire County Council in January, but was also withdrawn.
Despite this, the festival's organiser, south Wales-based record label PullUp Recordings, is still promoting the event online, selling weekend tickets for £80.
Its website says the event's location 'is yet to be announced, but it will cover both England & Wales, in the Monmouthshire and Hereforshire [sic] areas'.
'We will be operating a shuttle bus service for a small fee from Abergavenny station,' it adds.
Festival organisers were approached for comment.
Longtown Group Parish Council had said policing the event would require 'significant manpower', access for emergency services both to and within the festival site would be 'severely restricted', and the music and crowd noise would cause 'extreme nuisance to local people'.

Katie Price launches an online sex bot because 'no one is controlling me'

Katie Price has pretty much ticked off every career opportunity, whether it be best-selling books, hit reality TV series, modelling campaigns, or adult content creation. But while she's now mostly known for making headlines with her tumultuous personal life, the former Page 3 model first shot to fame as her sultry alter ego Jordan in the late 1990s. The character was much more than a pseudonym, as she spent eight years working under the persona, fronting lads' mags and flaunting her surgically enhanced breasts in glamour shoots. Fast forward to 2025, and Katie, who reverted to her 'real name' over a decade ago, is keen to give fans an unexpected taste of nostalgia. So, Jordan is back… sort of. Katie, 47, has joined OhChat, a US-based AI platform where users can live out their spicy fantasies with a twist. Allowing fans to interact with Jordan, Katie's physical likeness and voice have been recreated in the form of a hyper-realistic digital twin. Thanks to the cutting-edge technology, people can experience the otherwise impossible. Listen, we get it, OK? It's a lot to process. So, who better than the woman herself to explain it? In an exclusive interview with Metro, Katie details exactly why she wanted to join the likes of Carmen Electra and Brande Roderick to be transformed into an AI sex doll, and how she's embracing no longer being 'controlled' by anyone. 'Who would ever have thought that after nearly 20 years, Jordan would be brought back as an AI version? It's so clever how we did it,' she begins. 'We used loads of photos. I had to speak for half an hour so they'd get my voice, my tone, my personality, and just so they could create my digital twin. 'Jordan's back! But as AI.' Asked what memories her Jordan era holds for her, Katie has nothing but glowing things to say. 'Fun, absolute fun, amazing times, loved it. Loved every bit. Loved being in front of the camera. I miss doing those kinds of photoshoots, which is why I do OnlyFans.' Katie has raked in thousands from her saucy OnlyFans content, although this income took a hit when a judge ruled she had to give up 40% of her monthly cheque amid her second bankruptcy. But her financial woes haven't stopped her – far from it – as Katie is now capitalising on the desires of her fans with both her own NSFW snaps and those of AI Jordan. 'Basically, I've got my digital twin doing the Jordan stuff, then I do the OnlyFans, so you get to see both of me! So could we say it's Jordan versus Kate now?' The TV queen jokes that she might even have a conversation with AI Jordan just to 'see what happens'. 'It'll be interesting. Who knows what's gonna come out of her mouth! No one knows; it's AI. She's got her own thing going on. That's the fun of it.' Katie also feels like the birth of her digital twin marks the beginning of a new era for her, too. While Jordan was her life growing up, the character has since merged with who she actually is, allowing her to now 'start afresh with the knowledge and experience' she acquired in her twenties. 'It is me, at the end of the day. It was me in my younger years. There's nothing I'd change.' As for the longevity she's enjoyed and how people have remained interested for all this time, Katie admits that there's no real secret to it—although she's constantly keeping herself 'on her toes', never mind the rest of us. 'I'm just me, and I think that's why people can relate, because I'm not manufactured, I am myself, and I do go through dramas just like everyone else, and I think everyone has followed my journey,' she explains. 'Nothing is vanilla with me. There are a lot of people in the industry, and you hear what they've got coming out, then it comes out, and it's just the same old, same old, whereas with me, you never know what's around the corner, ever, and that's what I love. 'Sometimes, I don't even know what's around the corner, and when it comes, I just go with it.' Keen to also introduce the TikTok generation to the wild antics of Jordan, the mum-of-five acknowledges that youngsters get confused by who she actually is. 'People are like, 'Who's Jordan?' And I'm like, 'Just Google it!' But now, they have a chance to get to know the old me, but it's still the new me, if that makes sense.' But why the AI twin, exactly? Well, why not, as Katie would likely say. The media personality is embracing no longer feeling like anyone 'controls' her, declaring that, after previously feeling like 'a product to some people, not a human being,' she's 'not going to be dictated to by anyone anymore'. Nothing is vanilla with me As for the advice she'd give herself back in Jordan's heyday, knowing what she does know, Katie has a firm response. 'First of all, men choices! And be careful who you work with, because there are lots of snakes out there who promise you everything, and they end up stitching you up, taking your money, and things like that. 'I learned the hard way that there's always someone out there to get you. More Trending 'But now, I'm in control and that's an amazing feeling.' 'I've got no one controlling me, I do what I want to do, and now Jordan has come back, I feel like Kate's started off again,' she says defiantly. 'I've been through all this s**t, I've come out fresh and so has my digital twin. Jordan and Kate are off again.' Revo unveils new brand Nrgy with J Balvin

High-performance sunglasses, goggles and eyewear brand Revo has unveiled a new design-focused line with global artist J Balvin as the creative director. The new brand is called 'Nrgy by Revo' and will offer designs driven by innovation, implementing Revo's proprietary NASA-based polarised lens tech to 'deliver something entirely new' to the eyewear market that's 'engineered with vision and elevated by design'. In a statement, Revo said the new eyewear has been created in partnership with J Balvin and Mattias Gollin, a globally recognised creative working across fashion, culture, and performance branding, to present 'the future of eyewear design'. J Balvin and Mattias Gollin were brought together through their passion for design in 2024 when they collaborated on what is known as the Mark I, a 3D-printed pair of glasses that Balvin wore at shows and in music videos. Following what they call 'overwhelming interest' from their peers the pair connected with Revo to launch the eyewear commercially. The debut 'CXN_01' collection will feature 40 styles and will draw inspiration from 'the invisible architecture that connects us all,' such as quantum entanglement, dark matter flows, and planetary resonance. Each style will also feature subtle branding details, such as visible screws or the logo, which symbolises three atoms colliding to unleash energy in a direct nod between Nrgy's brand identity and the first collection. The collection will also feature a limited-edition signature style, the Mark II, which pays homage to the original lightning goggles they created in 2024. The Mark II has been designed in collaboration with the Vita Veloce Team, also known as VVT, the multidisciplinary creative studio co-founded by J Balvin and Mattias Gollin. The debut 'CXN_01' range will launch on June 25 via the brand's website while a limited release of the Mark II will be available for pre-order from June 9, with a broader rollout and exclusive activations to follow at select global retailers.
