Kurdistan and Iran discuss regional developments at Antalya Forum
Shafaq News/ On Saturday, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani held talks with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkiye.
According to Iran's Mehr News Agency, the meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between Tehran and Erbil.
Barzani arrived in Turkiye on Friday to attend the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. During the event, he also held separate meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Syrian transitional President Ahmed Al-Sharaa.

Iraq to repatriate stranded citizens

Al-Saadawi told Shafaq News that Cyprus had granted overflight permission to Iraqi carriers, allowing evacuation flights to proceed via Basra International Airport. In response, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani ordered the formation of an emergency task force to coordinate the evacuations and manage logistics across affected routes. Israeli strikes kill Red Crescent medics in Iran
Shafaq News/ Israeli airstrikes targeted central Tehran on Monday, including the area surrounding Azadi Square, one of the capital's most iconic landmarks. According to the IRNA news agency, Israeli forces also struck Iranian Red Crescent teams conducting relief operations in the area. Two paramedics were reported killed. Moreover, Tasnim News Agency reported injuries among staff members of Iran's state broadcasting authority, who were inside facilities affected by the strikes. Eyewitnesses and local sources also reported a powerful explosion near Mehrabad Airport, west of Tehran. The strikes follow days of intense military exchanges between Iran and Israel, with both sides trading missile and drone attacks across multiple fronts. Iranian authorities have yet to issue an official casualty toll for Monday's events.
