NBC SPORTS AND BREEDERS' CUP EXTEND PARTNERSHIP, BREEDERS' CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE PRESENTED ON NBC, PEACOCK, AND USA NETWORK THROUGH 2030
With New Agreement, NBC Sports will Be Home to Breeders' Cup World Championships for 41 of its 47 Years
STAMFORD, Conn. – March 26, 2025 – NBC Sports will continue to present the Breeders' Cup World Championships on NBC, Peacock, and USA Network through 2030, as Breeders' Cup Limited and NBC Sports today announced a multi-year extension of their partnership.
The new deal begins this year with 10 hours of coverage of the 2025 Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, featuring 3.5 hours on NBC in addition to coverage on USA Network. Peacock will stream live coverage across both days of the event.
NBC broadcast the inaugural Breeders' Cup World Championships in 1984, and presented the first 22 events (through 2005) before returning as the media home of the event in 2012. NBC Sports will have served as the home of the Breeders' Cup in 41 of its 47 years at the conclusion of this new agreement.

NBC Sports will also continue to present 'Betting the Breeders' Cup' content during championship week.
For five consecutive years, NBC Sports has won the Eclipse Award for Live Television Programming, including for its 2023 presentation of the 40th Breeders' Cup World Championships from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.
The 2025 Breeders' Cup World Championships, featuring 14 Grade 1 Championship races and a robust undercard run during a two-day festival worth more than $34 million in purses and awards, will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, California. The World Championships annually showcase the best horses, owners, breeders, trainers, and jockeys from around the globe.
The Breeders' Cup was advised by Sports Media Advisors and Proskauer on the deal.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The western Massachusetts Ironman triathlon is returning to the Springfield area this Sunday. Springfield law firm celebrates 130 years of service Different parts of popular routes will be closed to accommodate athletes in this incredible feat. The course goes through Springfield, Agawam, parts of Connecticut, Southwick, Westfield, and West Springfield. Most roads will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to noon, and officials say to expect delays. The triathlon begins with a 1.2-mile downriver swim in the Connecticut River, followed by a 56-mile bike ride starting at Riverfront Park and winding through scenic New England countryside. The final leg is a 13.1-mile run, newly rerouted this year to pass through Springfield's Forest Park, before finishing in downtown. Sui Wenjing, Han Cong to return to pairs' figure skating for first time since 2022 Olympic gold
Sui Wenjing and Han Cong are set to return to pairs' figure skating competition next season for the first time since winning the 2022 Olympic title on home ice in Beijing. Sui, 29, and Han, 32, are entered in Grand Prix Series events in China in October and Japan in November. Their return could also help China earn an Olympic spot spot in pairs' for the 2026 Milan Cortina Games. China had no pairs' teams at this past March's World Championships, so the nation so far has not qualified any 2026 Olympic pairs' spots. China can qualify a maximum of one pairs' spot at the last qualifier in September in Beijing, where three total pairs' spots are available. Entries have not been announced. Han announced his retirement in August 2023 and has been a member of the International Skating Union's singles and pairs' skating technical committee. Sui has worked as a choreographer for Chinese pairs since the 2022 Beijing Games. Sui and Han also won Olympic silver in 2018 and world titles in 2017 and 2019 among five total world championships medals. The last pairs' team to repeat as Olympic champion was Irina Rodnina and Alexander Zaitsev for the Soviet Union in 1976 and 1980. None of the other top seven pairs from the 2022 Olympics are currently competing together internationally. That includes the Russian pairs who finished second, third and fourth behind Sui and Han in Beijing. Russian skaters have been banned from international competition since shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine two and a half years ago. While singles skaters from Russia have been cleared to compete as individual neutral athletes at the last Olympic qualifier in September, no pairs' teams from Russia were cleared. At last season's World Championships, the pairs' medalists were Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara of Japan, followed by Minerva Hase and Nikita Volodin of Germany and Sara Conti and Niccolò Macii of Italy. Tesla stock jumps after wipeout sparked by the Musk-Trump blowup
Tesla stock rose on Friday after shares dropped 14% in Thursday's session. Elon Musk and President Donald Trump publicly traded barbs following criticism from the Tesla CEO. Trump threatened to cancel government contracts with Musk's companies amid escalating personal attacks. Shares of the EV maker rose as much as 6% on Friday to around $302.55. The stock is down 26% for the year. Tesla closed more than 14% lower on Thursday— its worst single-day performance since March—after a barrage of posts from Musk attacking both the president and his "Big Beautiful Bill." The decline dragged the stock below the $1 trillion market cap threshold. The rebound on Friday began as both Musk and the US president signalled they were open to making amends. On X, Musk responded to a post from billionaire investor Bill Ackman, which suggested that Trump and Musk "should make peace for the benefit of our great country." "You're not wrong," Musk wrote in reply. "Oh it's okay," Trump told the outlet when asked about his public conflict with Musk. "It's going very well, never done better," he added. However, after Politico reported that White House aides said Musk and Trump have also scheduled a phone call on Friday, a senior White House official told NBC that the president was not interested in a call. Analysts at Wedbush Securities including Dan Ives, a Tesla permabull, said in a Friday note they believed cooler heads would prevail. "Musk needs Trump and Trump needs Musk for many reasons and these two becoming friends again will be a huge relief for Tesla shares," they wrote. "We will be monitoring the situation closely today but we believe Tesla shares are way oversold." The feud between Musk and Trump began simmering earlier this week when Musk criticized the sweeping tax and budge bill that is a cornerstone of Trump's agenda. By Thursday, tensions had escalated significantly. Trump said Musk was upset about the bill's phasing-out of EV tax credits, which could hurt Tesla. "Without me, Trump would have lost the election," he wrote on X.
