A lot of haters have been pointing out James Gunn's penchant for showing up in production stills, and this one is no exception. Scan the comments on X and you'll find plenty of fans poking fun at the "Guardians of the Galaxy" filmmaker for once again making an appearance in yet another production still.

More and more of the promotional material is focusing on the less well-known heroes appearing in "Superman". DC Studios released a behind-the-scenes teaser on April 18, Superman Day, which, among other things, gave us some of our best looks yet at Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
The concept behind Mister Terrific comes from the Golden Age of comics, with rich Renaissance Man Terry Sloane debuting as the character back in 1942's "Sensation Comics" #1.
But the version we'll meet in "Superman" first showed up much later, in 1997's "Spectre" #54. Michael Holt doesn't have any superpowers, instead, he has what he calls "a natural aptitude for having natural aptitudes." Imagine someone like Tony Stark or Reed Richards, but who also demonstrates natural athletic abilities; that's Michael Holt.
Before he becomes a superhero, he holds 14 PhDs and is a gold medal-winning Olympian. After the accidental deaths of his wife and the child she was carrying, Holt was inspired by the supernatural Spectre to become a superhero and model himself after Terry Sloane's Golden Age hero.
Mister Terrific has made numerous appearances in DC's animated projects, and a version of the character - named Curtis Holt - shows up in the CW's Arrowverse shows, played by Echo Kellum. But Gathegi's appearance in "Superman" will mark the theatrical live-action debut of the character.
This won't be Gathegi's first time playing a superhero either. He plays the mutant Darwin in 2011's "X-Men: First Class".
"Superman" releases in theaters on July 11. The film is written and directed by James Gunn. "Superman" stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced.

Kevin Feige Hints That THUNDERBOLTS*'s Big FANTASTIC FOUR Tease Might Not Be What We Think — GeekTyrant

Marvel fans thought they had it all figured out after Thunderbolts* ended with that jaw-dropper of a post-credits scene. It features a mysterious ship entering Earth-616's atmosphere, right as the New Avengers were still struggling to win over public trust. Naturally, speculation exploded… Was that the Fantastic Four finally arriving from a dying reality? And why wouldn't we think that!? The ship had a big Fantastic Four logo on the side of it! But Kevin Feige is here to cool our jets a bit. In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, the Marvel Studios head was asked if that ship was the Excelsior, the signature craft of Marvel's First Family. His response? Classic Feige mischief: "Well, the name of their ship is the Excelsior, and there is a Fantastic Four ship entering the MCU in the tag, but I'm not sure they're the same ship." Not. The. Same. Ship? This implies that the the Fantastic Four might not be on that ship, and if they aren't on board, then who is? There are a few possibilities being tossed around online. One theory is that The Fantastic Four sent Franklin Richards alone, maybe to escape Doctor Doom and prevent him from getting his hands on multiverse-warping powers. Another, is that Doom himself stole the Excelsior and is using Reed Richards' tech to break through the multiversal veil. That would flip the script entirely… imagine expecting Marvel's most first family walking off the ship and getting Victor Von Doom instead, and Victor Von Doom that looks exactly like Tony Stark. Whatever the truth is, The Fantastic Four: First Steps , which drops next month, isn't guaranteed to answer it. That tease may be a slow burn, setting us up for something much bigger in Avengers: Doomsday . Feige's cryptic wordplay is nothing new. But if there's one thing we can count on, it's that the truth will come with some multiversal consequences.

'Fallout' Coming to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors On June 1, Universal Studios caught everyone's attention when it announced that "Five Nights at Freddy's" will have a presence at Halloween Horror Nights this year "in a whole new way." Five Nights at Freddy's is coming in a whole new way to this year's Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights in both Hollywood and Orlando. More details coming soon. — Halloween Horror Nights (@HorrorNightsORL) June 2, 2025 Now, it looks like "Five Nights at Freddy's" won't be the only wildly popular video game franchise making its way to the iconic Halloween event. More Entertainment: Movies to Watch to Prepare for Universal Studios Epic Universe In a new announcement, it has been revealed that "Fallout" will officially have a house at Halloween Horror Nights. "There's no sheltering from this horror," the social media announcement read. "See if you can survive the nuclear apocalypse as you're immersed in 'Fallout.'" Much like the house based on "The Last of Us" in 2023 was based on the HBO Max series, it seems that the "Fallout" house will be based on the Amazon Prime adaptation starring Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten. Ella Purnell as Vault Dweller Lucy MacLean in a key visual for the Fallout TV series. Amazon's live-action series depicts the most recent events in the Fallout chronology. Amazon Even though it is recognized more as science fiction than horror, there are plenty of terrifying moments and themes that the team at Universal Studios can pull from. First of all, the series is filled with gory moments that will give ample opportunity for designers to go wild with special effects. Then there are all the various factions and mutated people that can pop in to terrify guests, like the Brotherhood of Steel, the inhabitants of Vault 4, and raiders. More Entertainment: Alien: Earth Trailer Channels the Terror of the Original 1979 Classic Finally, there are all the monsters from the show that are sure to terrify guests, including Radroaches, Gulpers, and Ghouls. Of particular note is the Yao Guai, which is a black bear that has been mutated by radiation. Halloween Horror Nights has shown off epic animatronics in the past, and this could be another opportunity to do so. Needless to say, there is plenty of material to pull from just in the series. However, if the people at Halloween Horror Nights wanted to pull from the games, I'm sure casual and hardcore fans would be perfectly fine with that, especially looking at The Family from "Fallout 3." More Entertainment: Ginny & Georgia Season 3 – Release Date, Schedule, How To Watch The "Fallout" series was a massive success, receiving critical acclaim, audience praise, and plenty of award nominations, particularly for Goggins as The Ghoul and Purnell as Lucy.
