Today's ‘Wordle' #1444 Hints, Clues And Answer For Saturday, June 2nd
How to solve today's Wordle. SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Looking for Sunday's Wordle hints, clues and answer? You can find them here: It's the first Monday of June and some might say the first Monday of summer, though I hew to the solstices, personally. This year, the Summer Solstice takes place on my birthday, June 20th. I like to think the first day of summer is also my day. Mine and mine alone. Still, it may as well be summer outside. Go out and enjoy some sunshine—but first, let's solve this Wordle! The Hint: To make oneself attractive, or to talk about it annoyingly. The Clue: This Wordle has a double letter. Okay, spoilers below! The answer is coming! . . . Today's Wordle Credit: Erik Kain Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here. I don't feel particularly good about my guessing game today, and ultimately I just got super lucky on my fourth guess. STORE left me with 214 words, but rearranging my yellow boxes was pretty unsuccessful. REACH only slashed that number down to 61. GRIEF, sadly, only reduced that number to four. I came up with three possible answers: BREED, FREED and PREEN. I was pretty sure BREED had already been used, so I guessed PREEN and lucky me, that was the Wordle! Today's Wordle Bot Credit: Erik Kain A complete reversal of yesterday's score today. I get 0 for guessing in four and -1 for losing to the Bot. The Bot gets 1 point for guessing in three and 1 for beating me, bringing our June totals to a tie: Erik: 1 point Wordle Bot: 1 point FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder The verb preen comes from late Middle English prenen 'dress or groom oneself,' which in turn derives from Middle Dutch pruinen 'dress up, make neat.' Originally it meant 'to dress or adorn oneself with pride,' and by the mid‑15th century it was applied to birds 'smoothing or arranging their feathers' by analogy to human grooming.
