
Air Arabia Launches Flights Between Abu Dhabi & Armenia's Yerevan
Set to launch on June 1st, this new service will operate six times per week.
Air Arabia has added Yerevan, Armenia's capital city, to its growing network with a new route connecting Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to Zvarnots International Airport. The service will operate six times a week starting June 1st, using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 14:05 on Mondays and Wednesdays, arriving in Yerevan at 17:25, with return flights leaving Yerevan at 13:10 and landing in Abu Dhabi at 16:20.
On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, flights will leave Abu Dhabi at 9:00, reaching Yerevan at 12:20, while return flights will depart at 13:10, arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 16:20.
Armenia is among the destinations UAE residents can visit without entry permits, with visa-on-arrival options available for citizens of over 50 countries, including Egypt, Iraq, and Morocco.

Travellers can now book international flights using AE Coin via the AEC Wallet App. Emirati low-cost airline Air Arabia has partnered with Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank) to introduce AE Coin as a new form of payment for flight bookings, making it the first airline in the region to accept stablecoin-based transactions. AE Coin is the UAE's first AED-backed stablecoin, pegged 1:1 to the Emirati Dirham. It offers users price stability and low transaction fees, all through Mbank's AEC Wallet App. Bookings made through the airline's website now include the AEC Wallet as a payment option, allowing travellers to make secure, cashless transactions.

Etihad Launches First Regional Flights to Charlotte, North Carolina
The new service will operate four times a week on Etihad's Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Starting May 4th, 2026, Etihad Airways will launch direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Charlotte—marking the first-ever route from the region to the North Carolina city. A major hub for finance, technology, motorsports, and culture, Charlotte draws millions of visitors each year. The new service will operate four times a week on Etihad's Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with award-winning Business and Economy cabins, early morning departures from Abu Dhabi, and midday returns from the US.
