Amazon shoppers gush over solar lights that add a 'rustic charm' to your garden
'Highly durable and weather-resistant, it's perfect for any outdoor setting—I absolutely love it!'
As the gorgeous weather continues, many people are taking any opportunity they can to be out in the sunshine. With some people planning garden parties with their friends and family, it is important to make sure that any outdoor space is equipped to keep the party going even when it gets dark.
For those who are wanting to invest in some garden lights to help brighten up their space, now is the best time to start shopping as Amazon is hosting their Home and Garden Week shopping event. This means all your garden essentials - from furniture to lawnmowers - will be receiving decent discounts this week.
One popular item in the sale that Amazon shoppers are gushing over is the KagoLing Solar Lights. Normally retailing for £35.99, the online retailer is now offering two "rustic" lights for only £30.59 in a limited time deal. A four pack is also available, but these are staying at their retail price of £61.99.
These solar lanterns are designed with handmade rattan, which gives the lights a natural style and added decorative effect. The rattan also makes the lights more translucent, creating a soft and warm atmosphere in your garden.
Each of the lights come with a solar panel and a built-in sensor to soak up as much light as possible. An added bonus is that shoppers won't need to manually switch the lights on and off as the lanterns are able to automatically turn on and off according to the ambient light. This means the lights will avoid wasting power during the day.
The "charming" lights are also IP65 waterproof, meaning they will continue to work as normal even if left in rainy or humid environments. The lanterns are also versatile in their use. They are lightweight enough that they can easily be hung from trees or porches, or placed on a table or the ground.
Another set of lights reduced in Amazon's sale are the KOOPER Solar Lights. This four pack usually retails for £29.99, but shoppers can now buy them for £23.99 after a 20 per cent discount. Unlike the lanterns, these lights are stuck into the ground and can be used to form a bright walkway.
Argos is also selling the Habitat Solar Rattan Lantern for those who were loving the rustic design. However, the retailer is selling the lanterns individually for £18, so if shoppers wanted to buy two they would need to spend £36.
However, many Amazon shoppers have been left in awe of the KagoLing Solar Lights, which has earned a 4.6 rating from over 1,200 shoppers. Many reviewers have praised the lights for the "cozy glow", and one shopper said that the lights still efficiently charge on cloudy days.
One shopper said: "The is a stunning addition to my garden! Its handmade rattan design is both elegant and lightweight, adding a rustic charm to my outdoor space.
"The solar-powered feature works flawlessly, automatically lighting up at dusk and charging efficiently even on cloudy days. Highly durable and weather-resistant, it's perfect for any outdoor setting—I absolutely love it!"
Another happy customer went on to write: "These rattan lanterns are so charming! They give off such a warm, cozy glow at night, and I love that they turn on by themselves.
"They seem really well-made and have held up great in the rain. Super easy to hang anywhere and adds a lovely natural touch to my garden. Definitely recommend for some beautiful, hassle-free outdoor lighting."
However, some shoppers ran into a few issues with the solar lights, as one person wrote: "Fantastic looking but after 2 days of bright sunlight they only lasted 1 and a half hours. Returned as either faulty or poor design."
Another shopper also grumbled: "Its alot of money for two tiny lights. The brightness is not going great compared to my other solar lights so its a no for me with this price."
Despite this, a five-star reviewer gushed over the lights, adding: "We love this pair of solar lights. They give a really pretty warm white light with a vintage feel. The plastic material seems good quality. They are lightweight and easily hang from a tree and look lovely in the evening - the light lasts well into the night. We are very pleased with them."
A fourth delighted shopper also said: "Absolutely love these! Perfect addition to my garden and very high quality i was pleasantly surprised how bright they were. I will be buying more as they look lovely in pairs around my garden. Would highly recommend for quality. Great buy."

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez 'dial down the bling' on Venice wedding after furore around THAT all-female space flight... but it'll still cost nearly £10m, ALISON BOSHOFF reveals
The eyes of the world will inevitably be on Venice later this month when financial colossus Jeff Bezos marries fiancee Lauren Sanchez. Everyone in the Italian city is expecting a staggering display of wealth from Amazon-founder Bezos, with money to burn, and Ms Sanchez, who looks like she enjoys lighting the match. And yet, despite the huge wealth and profile of the couple and their celebrity guests, it can be revealed that this will be a publicity-shy and surprisingly small event. Modest, even. With fewer than 200 guests – a fraction of what was expected – and a final bill which is said to be less than £10million, it is clear that the bride and groom are dialling down on the bling. As an impeccably placed source tells me: 'The wedding has had a make-under.' Indeed, the event is going to cost the equivalent of loose change for the groom, who is worth $220billion and spends $34million a year just to run his yacht – the $500 million Koru. The yacht will be moored at San Basilio – the closest the giant vessel can get to the centre of Venice due to regulations to protect the city's fragile ecosystem – and be in sight of the Hotel Cipriani, where many guests will be lodged. It's thought Jeff, Lauren and their immediate families will stay on the nine-bedroom yacht. Other guests will be split between the Cipriani and Aman hotels nearby. The only famous couple definitely going are actor Orlando Bloom and his wife Katy Perry. Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian are invited, but their attendance has not been confirmed. Instead, the guests of honour will be Bezos' mum, Jackie, who had Jeff when she was 17, and his adoptive father and life-long inspiration, Mike Bezos. The island of San Giorgio Maggiore will potentially be the destination for the couple's nuptials The couple loaned him $245,000, their life savings, to start Amazon in 1995 and Mike, who now runs the Bezos family foundation, is a particularly impressive individual, having emigrated to the US alone from Cuba aged 16. So why the – relatively – humble plans? I understand part of the reason was the PR disaster of the all-female Blue Origin 'space flight' in April – when Lauren and her five crew, including Perry, donned skin-tight space suits to blast to the edge of the Earth's atmosphere. The project attracted huge criticism for being a meaningless stunt. I am told the couple have not sent paper or email invitations, the better to sail under the radar. And they have trimmed their guest list to the bare bones. 'It is very sweet, very understated,' says a guest. 'It is not an ostentatious blow out. 'They understand that the space flight criticism was bad for a reason and are responding to it by being less 'Marie Antoinette'.' The source adds: 'People really underestimate Lauren and Jeff. Truly, they are good people. They don't want the wedding to be a lightning rod for inequities in the world. It's just a wedding.' That's as maybe, but the celebrations are still expected to take place at jaw-droppingly beautiful – and exclusive – locations. Sources in Venice believe the nuptials will happen at the Fondazione Cini – a monastery on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Crucially, it will be free on June 25 – the most likely day of the wedding – as it is closed to the public on Wednesdays. Having twice hosted the G7 summit, it can offer complete security and privacy and is close to where the Koru will dock. Sources also expect celebrations at the palazzo apartment owned by Bezos' close friend Diane von Furstenberg. Local sources indicate that all 79 rooms of the fabled Hotel Cipriani have been block booked from June 24-26. A suite in high season costs around £20,000 a night. The Cipriani boasts the largest swimming pool in Venice and the Casanova gardens, where the infamous seducer used to meet his conquests. The couple are also believed to have booked out the Aman Canal Grande, the 24-bedroom palazzo where George Clooney tied the knot with lawyer Amal in 2014. Plans are being co-ordinated with the mayor of Venice's office to minimise disruption but some locals concerned about overtourism are planning protests. 'This city is not for sale, it is not a playground for the rich,' said activist Ruggero Tallon.

Dunelm shoppers 'love' this 'modern twist on a classic style' ceiling light
The 'regal' light fitting is 'selling fast' online and has been rated 4.5 out of 5 by shoppers, being praised for 'looking expensive' Snagging a chic light fixture that radiates luxe without breaking the bank can be tricky, yet Dunelm customers seem to have hit the jackpot with one offering on their website. This sparkly ceiling light is flying off the virtual shelves, dubbed 'selling fast' and accumulating a stellar 4.5 out of 5 rating from enthusiastic reviewers who love its opulent look. The description on Dunelm's site for the in-demand Kleio semi-flush dimmable light fitting doesn't skimp on elegance: "The Kleio semi-flush dimmable light fitting boasts a very classy design. "Featuring three curved sculpted arms with a beautiful glass jewel beads design." The dimensions detailed are H 14cm x Dia 28.5cm. Alternatively, shoppers who are fans of the distinct shiny decor, Amazon is offering a 6-Lights Gold Ceiling Light Chandelier for £18.68 (prices correct at the time of writing). Debenhams sells a similar light to Amazon's gold version, the Geoco modern chandelier is reduced to £35.46. Those who've bought the Dunelm one for their home are showering it with compliments for its glitzy appeal. A thrilled customer said: "Absolutely love this light. Throws out so much light. Wanted a small light fitting and this fit the bill perfectly." Another shopper said: "Arrived very well packed and once up looks stunning. Bulbs are ordered separately and are nice and bright. Really pleased with this pretty item." One customer did say it wasn't the size they thought it would be: "Modern twist on a classic style. A very dainty, pretty light fitting. Smaller than I thought, but I've kept it as I love it so much.", reports the Liverpool Echo. "Absolutely stunning they look more expensive than they are, nice and bright I brought two of these for hallway." However, a common point of contention among reviews is the unexpected compact size of the light, hence buyers should pay heed to the given dimensions.

BaByliss hair straightener that works 'just as well as ghd' drops from £90 to £30
'My wife was absolutely delighted with the BaByliss Rose Gold Styler—a true game changer in her daily beauty routine.' One applicance that everyone should have in their home is a quality set of hair straighteners. This versatile hair tool can both straighten and curl your hair, letting you have complete control of how you will look that day. However, one of the problems with hair straighteners is products from high quality brands usually come with a pretty hefty price tag. And while you want to buy a set that will last you a good few years, it can be difficult to part with your hard earned money. Thankfully, in a limited time deal, Amazon has slashed the price of well known branded hair straightener, saving shoppers £60. Originally priced at £90, shoppers can now snatch up the BaByliss Rose Gold Hair Straighteners for only £29.99. Bought by over 1,000 shoppers in the last 30 days, these BaByliss hair straighteners are said to deliver users effortless styling. With floating ceramic plates, the device will glide smoothly through your hair to get rid of any kinks without snagging, leaving users with silky, straight hair "every time". Featuring three temperature settings, ranging from 180 to 235 degrees, shoppers will have more control over the amount of heat they are putting onto their hair. Additionally, for those in a rush, this hair straightener is said to be ready to use in just 15 seconds due to its advanced ceramic heating system. Along with a heat-proof mat for added safety, this device will also automatically turn off after an hour to give users added peace of mind. And for those who want sleek, smooth hair anywhere, this device will become your perfect travel companion as it is equipped with a built-in multi-voltage functionality. Another set of straighteners that have been reduced by Amazon are the ghd Gold Hair Straightener & Styler. Normally retailing for £189, shoppers can now snatch the styler for £150.30 in a limited time deal. This styler promises to give users a 'salon smooth finish' as it uses dual-zone technology for a premium performance. Alternatively, Argos is selling the Remington Sapphire Luxe Hair Straightener for £35. Along with a three year warranty, these hair straighteners are said to make your hair two times smoother than standard stylers. As well as a ultra-fast 15 second heat up time, this device comes with five temperatures to choose from. Back to the BaByliss hair straightener, Amazon shoppers have awarded the device a 4.6 star rating. With many shoppers praising its sleek design, one shopper noted that they became a 'game changer' for their wife's beauty routine. One happy shopper said: "BaByliss products never disappointed me. Great hair straightener, does exactly what it supposed to do despite me being too lazy of sectioning in small portions the hair, I do divide my hair in two parts literally (right half and left half). "The hair straightener gets hot quickly, has a long cable which gives you enough mobility, only minus I personally do not love the rose pink colour." Another reviewer added: "My wife was absolutely delighted with the BaByliss Rose Gold Styler—a true game changer in her daily beauty routine. From the moment she unboxed it, she was captivated by its sleek, rose gold design. "The elegant finish not only adds a luxurious touch to her vanity but also makes a striking visual statement. Holding it, she immediately noticed its premium quality and the way it felt balanced and substantial, yet surprisingly lightweight in her hand." However, not everyone was overly impressed by the hair tool, as one shopper noted: "Works fine but quite a basic model. The cord attached to the straightener doesn't swivel so gets caught up quite easily. I'd recommend a more expensive one that has more features." With another three-star reviewer adding: "This straightener works well and has a usefully long lead. The location of the control between the arms is a real pain. Much better on the side." Despite this, a happy shopper added: "Bought these for my partner after her last set finally died after 10 years of use. She has used them everyday since and has loved them, very sleek and easy to store, take very little tome to heat up and leaves her extremely thick curly hair looking extremely straight. She says she would definitely buy these over more expensive brands." While five-star reviewer went on to say: "Bought these to replace a set of GHD straighteners and to be honest they work just as well. Only downside is that the pink heat mat/cover is just a little bit small. However, that's forgivable because the product is good." To buy the BaByliss Rose Gold Hair Straighteners, click HERE.
