Toma Terra turns Hyderabad crimson

A crimson cloud hung briefly in the summer air before cascading in splashes across smiling faces, sun-drenched clothes, and camera-ready laughter. Recently, Hyderabad traded its concrete bustle for a burst of red as it hosted 'Toma Terra', a tomato-themed celebration inspired by Spain's iconic 'La Tomatina'. Organised by Odeum By Prism in collaboration with Experium Eco Park, the one-day festival blended music, mayhem, and a deeper message of sustainability and social responsibility.
Set against the lush, curated wildness of Experium Eco Park — a 150-acre green sanctuary housing over 25,000 plant species — the event attracted thousands. The venue itself was a natural marvel, with tree-lined trails, thatched huts, and open-air amphitheatres alive with music and colour. By mid-morning, tomatoes squelched under the feet of a vibrant crowd that ranged from exuberant teens to middle-aged software professionals, and even spirited seniors, all revelling in the moment.
But the organisers had envisioned Toma Terra as more than a playful spectacle. 'This isn't just about fun,' said Ramadugu Ramdev, CEO of Experium Eco Park, adding, 'We're supporting farmers and reviving ecological awareness.'

Case registered against Kalpika Ganesh for misconduct at Hyderabad pub over dessert

Telugu actor Kalpika Ganesh, known for her roles in films like Yashoda and Sita on the Road, has been booked by the Gachibowli police in connection with an alleged altercation at a prominent Hyderabad restaurant, Odeum by Prism. The incident, which took place on 29 May, came to public attention after videos capturing the episode went viral on social media platforms. (Also Read: Kalpika Ganesh posts video of altercation with pub management; internet blames her for demanding 'free cake') As per the First Information Report (FIR), a formal complaint was submitted by Deepak Bajaj (38), Managing Partner of Prism Club & Kitchen, on 6 June 2025, outlining a series of disruptive actions allegedly committed by Ganesh during her visit to the venue. According to the complaint, Kalpika, accompanied by a male guest, dined at the restaurant and consumed ₹2,200 worth of food and beverages. At the time of billing, around 11:30 PM, she allegedly demanded that the dessert, a cheesecake, be offered complimentary. Though the management extended a gesture of goodwill by offering a brownie instead, the complainant alleged that Kalpika refused to settle the bill, became aggressive, and verbally abused the Deputy General Manager and General Manager, including derogatory and body-shaming remarks. The situation reportedly escalated when she threw the brownie plate, causing disturbances on the premises. The FIR further states that she went live on Instagram, declaring she was doing it for her followers, and subsequently made false accusations of rape and molestation on social media. Kalpika Ganesh has also shared a video of the incident on her Instagram handle. The complaint also noted that even in the presence of police officers, the actor allegedly continued her disruptive behaviour, refused to cooperate, and verbally abused the personnel. A post shared by iamkalpika (@iamkalpika27) Management claimed that the episode led to reputational harm to both the establishment and its staff, as well as property damage, verbal and physical abuse, false public narratives, and personal defamation involving staff families. Supporting evidence cited includes CCTV footage, videos recorded by staff and guests, and witness testimonies. While the management initially delayed complaining to avoid escalation, the persistent nature of the alleged online provocations prompted legal action. The matter was entered into the General Diary on 6 June, and a request was made before the Honourable Court for permission to register a case formally. Upon receiving approval, a case was registered on 10 June 2025, under sections 324(4), 352, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation has been assigned to WSI Akshitha, under the supervision of Inspector Anil Kumar, Gachibowli Police Station.

Kalpika Ganesh posts video of altercation with pub management; internet blames her for demanding ‘free cake'

Telugu actor Kalpika Ganesh took to Instagram to share a video of an altercation she had with the management of a well-known pub, Odeum by Prism, in Hyderabad. The actor got into an argument with the staff while there to celebrate her birthday. The video shows the management and Tollywood actor in a heated exchange, but the internet blames her for asking for 'free cake'. (Also Read: Sreeleela gets princess treatment as birthday celebrations kick off; fans think she's getting engaged) In a note she re-shared on her Instagram stories, Kalpika claims she went to the pub with a physically disabled friend and that they were 'mocked' and 'verbally abused' for asking for a 'common birthday courtesy'. She also claims the management 'threw a brownie on the table like trash' which led to the altercation. Kalpika claims she was locked inside the pub for 30 minutes, and 20 people hurled abuses at her. When she called the Gachibowli police, she claims they treated her like a 'criminal' and took the side of the management. The actor claims her issue was not the cake but 'dignity', which wasn't offered to her. A short video of the altercation between Kalpika and the management is available on her feed. In the video, Kalpika can be heard saying, 'Sabka izzat nikalke rakhungi (I will ensure you all lose respect).' The management can be heard asking her to pay the bill and not 'spoil' her birthday. They even allege she's creating a fuss to ensure she doesn't have to pay the bill. She even crumbles and throws the bill after criticising them for mismanagement. A post shared by iamkalpika (@iamkalpika27) RTV claims to have access to a longer 40-minute video, which is also available to her subscribed users on Instagram. Alleging that the management of the pub used cuss words, the channel also states that they objectified Kalpika and called her a 'druggist'. The actor reportedly asked for a complimentary brownie as it was her birthday, but the owner and management reportedly shamed her for her clothing and for being at a pub at midnight. Kalpika reportedly stood her ground and said she would pay the bill only after they offered an apology. A case has been registered with the police, and an investigation is underway. Going by the short video available on her Instagram feed, the internet blamed her for the altercation. One comment under her video reads, 'If a missing free cake ruined your birthday, maybe the problem isn't the pub—it's the fact that nobody cared enough to bring you one.' Another wondered why the long video wasn't available on her feed, 'If you were genuinely being honest, you would've offered a free trial subscription so people could actually see the content. This is such a disgusting way to seek attention.' Some even blamed her, with one writing, 'Pubs and businesses don't offer things for free, they operate to serve and not as a charity. If you are asking for any specific complementary food, it's important to first understand the rules and regulations of the pub, like what they do and don't offer.' Another wrote, 'I don't know how people become so entitled and demand free stuff from hotels, clubs, restaurants, etc. ..If the club did not offer free cake, pay for the food you ate and common sense.' Kalpika was most recently seen in Yashoda, 8 AM Metro and Atharva.
